@FantasyChic anything in particular? Feel free to post questions or anything in the OOC
@Oak7ree Excellent, then I'll jump straight into it.
No 1) Why, if James is from England, would he be hunting criminals in New York? Where is the motivation or the connection there? If he's remained in NY then where is he staying? How has he established himself as a vigilante in such a short time? Why would the papers be that concerned with another Ace vigilante appearing with so many from the original outbreak, 2nd gens and the new outbreak, focus on your character? Remember, we aren't following the same tropes as the comic superheroes here.

2) The timing of when you enter should be a few days/weeks AFTER Croyd has gone back to sleep. This means he's no longer a threat. Why would James be hunting him? Revenge? Doesn't seem very 'just'. The new Wild Card outbreak was not intentionally caused by Croyd, it was a by-product of his unpredictable Wild Card power. Also, in regards to timing/setting,

3) What is the psychological factor for James transforming into a Wolfman? All of the Wild Card powers (Joker or Ace) are linked to the unconscious desires or fears of the infected person. That means that James, on some level, wanted this to happen to him. Why? What is the underlying reasoning behind that?

OK, so it looks like I kinda railed on you for your character, and I do understand that it was a WIP, but then...it is a WIP. The Wild Card power is fine, that I've no problem with. The backstory however, just doesn't fit here. It would fit in a Marvel or DC comic...but Wild Cards aren't the comics, they're a literary piece and, more so, take a grounded approach to many characters and backstories.
Just a reminder guys that the OOC is up

Abilities: yes, as appropriate (claws are sharp, prehensile tails can hold things, cat ears pick up more sounds). Modular parts: proportional. "Attribute increases": Nope, bear arms are no stronger than her regular arms. Turn off: Yes, she can just look like a regular person...she just chooses not to. Extra stuff: gills (for breathing ONLY underwater), tails (prehensile or not), and VESTIGIAL wings (replacing her arms) are an option, but no extra limbs.

From that, she's an Ace. The key difference between what makes an Ace and a Joker is whether they look (or can look) "normal" or not. By "choosing" not to makes no difference.
Would a character who shapes her body parts into those of animals be a joker-ace or just an ace? Like...wants bear arms (she has a right to them), so gets them. Or Cat ears. Just until she feels like changing them again. Can't look like other people, though.
Goes by "Piecemeal."

It would depend. Would the bear-arms (which she has a right to) be proportional to her body or would they be the size of an actual bear's arms? Can she "turn it off" i.e. can she look normal or must some sizable part of her always be in the form of an animal? Do the parts convey actual abilities upon her? Can she sprout eagle wings and fly? Can she grow gills that allow her to swim underwater. ETC ETC ETC ETC.......

Essentially, you want to sit and ask yourself "What are the benefits for this character's card draw, if any? What are the drawbacks, if any? Is there a mix? Is there a limit to what they can do?" A prime example for your case would be Kid Dinosaur. He could transform into any dinosaur he wanted...but he couldn't change his size. So he would transform into a 5 ft tall T-Rex or Brontosaurus. See what I'm getting at?

In a slightly related/unrelated note, I'm hacking away at the 1st IC posting and will be working on a section called "Power Crutches" that might give everyone a better idea as to how to create a character.

@Oak7ree I'm finishing off the IC at the minute, but there are a few things that'll I'll need for you to clarify with your Bargain Bin X-Man fairly soon.
Just wanted to drop in and let you know that I'm lurking about, judging your every move.

That is..............well that's just damn creepy.
Posted extra reading on "Avoiding the Cliches" in this RP and a character background on Croyd Crenson. Will be doing a few more quick character backgrounds for anyone who may want to join but is stuck on who or what to play as. Next will be Peregrine and Fortunato.
