Elizabeth is almost exactly average height, but her willowy slim figure lends her the illusion of height. At least when she is dressed in such a manner that would complement her figure, she seems to have an extremely eclectic sense of style, that varies from day to day as her moods change. Her thin face is often framed by her thick, long black hair, undeniably one of her greater features, it draws attention away from what she thinks of as her unhealthily pale complexion.

She has a number of tattoos, a curling, almost eldritch design that twists about her left leg, a fiery phoenix across her chest, and a strange, split faced design on her back that almost reflects a yin and yang design.

Elizabeth doesn’t get on with her parents, she never really moved past the moody teen section of her relationship with them, mainly because they mostly ignored her until that age anyway. Her siblings though, are a different matter, they always seemed to just accept her quirks for what they were. That said, she holds some resentment for Devan, he was always the one to spend time with her father, even if it was just to train, while she was left by the wayside. Let it be said that this resentment and envy has nothing to do with his position as the family heir, and simply his position as a favourite of their father.

Where Devan is naïve and trusting, Elizabeth is wary and hostile, she is quick to suspect ulterior motives from others though time has taught her to trust her family’s judgement. She is hardly likely to indulge childish, petulant behaviour, though it can seem as such as her feelings and actions or twisted by those of Claire. She wants to earn her parent’s approval, and can often make hasty decisions if she believes it is something that the family wants or needs, jumping to conclusions about the required actions, and once Claire is released there is little she can do to stop her.

Imaginary Friend – Elizabeth has a highly unusual and difficult to understand ability that hinges on the exploitation of several metaphysical and dimensional weaknesses not truly understood by modern science. Elizabeth, quite literally, has an imaginary friend, a secondary being, an extrusion of her personality that dwells in a separate dimension only she can perceive. This being is, to her, effectively a doppleganger, an unborn twin that possesses significantly more physical capability than Elizabeth herself.

Though others cannot visually perceive this twin, it can affect the physical world, often with destructive effect. Elizabeth has some sway over its actions, she can reign it in, or unleash it, at a cost, but it can often go off and do its own thing, regardless of her wishes or indeed commands. An invisible, intangible being with extraordinary strength, when taken by one of its more aggressive, unpredictable mood swings it can wreak havoc in any situation.

Limitations;;

Elizabeth’s other self, Claire, as she occasionally calls it, is a creature composed more of emotion than reason, and thus prone to fits of rage or depression. Such is the strength of their bond that these emotions can even impact upon her own emotional wellbeing. This bond goes both ways, manipulating Elizabeth’s emotions can manipulate Claire’s, and vice versa. Elizabeth, as a physical human being, is easy for people to manipulate, but Claire is a little more difficult, requiring actual empathic abilities to affect.

This alternate self is dependent upon Elizabeth to survive, so will fight to preserve her existence. That said, it cannot interpose between attacks, cannot block or catch bullets. It can harm those who intend her harm, but not if they act too fast for a human to respond. It also cannot travel any faster than a human and, though it could travel ‘in’ a car with Elizabeth, should it be across the city then it would take it some time to return to her side. Claire is directly connected to the wellbeing of Elizabeth, knock her unconscious, and it ceases to have any effect upon the physical world.

History;;

As a young child it wasn’t particularly unusual for Elizabeth to refer to her invisible friend, she would hardly be the only child to have an active imagination at that age. Except it stuck. It is fairly understandable for an eight year old to blame an invisible friend for broken china. It is rather less understandable for a fourteen year old to maintain that same story. And yet maintain it she did, though it took too long before her father realised that these weren’t the actions of a rebellious child, but the first manifestations of a potent, if unstable ability.

Of course, it caused problems at school, Elizabeth had few friends as she grew older as it became apparent that she wasn’t going to let go of her imaginary companion. Soon friends became enemies, seizing upon the easily targeted different child in an attempt to stay afloat in the vicious waters of High School politics. Elizabeth weathered it, for the most part, as young girls are wont to do, until she was cornered in the gym by four of the girls, until she let Claire out. Pain followed, and it wasn’t experienced by Elizabeth. Multiple broken bones and a very expensive cover up later, and Elizabeth left the school. It was clearly safer for everyone involved if Elizabeth were educated by private tutors.

Elizabeth was for a long time, and to some extent still is, the disappointment of the family. For some time it seemed as though she would never manifest an ability, and was simply a child with a powerful imagination and a more tenuous grip on reality than any parent could want. Once her father realised that she did in fact possess a gift, he became a little more interested in her, though it was too late to really dismiss the damage already done.

Give me some time to read up on everything, accept or reject characters. I have three going after the Eldest Montgomery, which is an even bigger hassle for me because every time I've had a competition, I always received a PM stating why this or why that when I didn't choose a certain character. :(

But anyways, thank god I am off tomorrow so I should have my character up tonight after work, which I hate right about now.

And probably start this tomorrow night, too.

(Gosh I can't explain this very well, sorry if I hurt your brain) I think that maybe because Emilia's projecting her own emotions onto someone, it could be as if like a parasite - a foreign invader of sorts because its not him actually feeling it, but its her making him to so. I think of it like that, but I'm not too sure whether I explained it very well D:

Ah ok, I understand what you mean now, but nonetheless, I don't think it would fit either way. After all, it heals physical injuries, even if she's imposing her emotions, it's not a physical change to his brain, it's not physical damage, what then could his healing factor fight against?

Of course this is all just theorising, but I do enjoy theorising super powers perhaps a little too much XD

Oh I'm by no means suggesting that the ability is OP, when it comes to super powers I can usually make something far more broken than was originally intended, it's just a matter of looking at it in the right way. Besides, ostensibly 'weak' powers simply encourage you to become more creative in order to solve problems, which encourages (in my opinion) greater roleplaying and writing. And it gives you a potential for character development in the powers themselves as you said.

With mine, I planned that his abilities have meant he's never really learned to fight. I found it odd that literally everyone seemed to know Karate/MMA/Krav Maga etc. but it sort of fit most of the other characters, mine it didn't. He had no discipline, which you need to actually achieve anything in those pursuits, but it still helped if he thought he was bulletproof, so he's used to relying on his abilities. It will be fun to have him faced with a problem he can't simply throw through the wall.

Also, empathic manipulation may not be effective against Jerome since his brain could potentially repair itself from an empathic push, since empathic manipulation would essentially manipulate certain chemicals in the brain to bring about a certain emotional effect.

I wouldn't say so, after all, empathy manipulates emotions, which are natural reactions to stimuli. How would his healing factor know that the rage or fear or anger rushing through his system is in fact encouraged by the abilities of an empath? There's no actual damage there, just an emotion that he will have felt before. Otherwise it would react in exactly the same manner to any emotion and heal it away, leaving him little better than a robot who just happens to breathe.
