Well Jason was the punk kid who stole the wheels off the Bat mobile, who had anger issues that lead to him not being well received by Batman or fans, hence the hotline death sentence. Damian was a kid Bruce didn't know about who trained with the League of Assassins who doesn't have anger issues, he just thinks he deserves to be the heir of Batman despite the man not raising him up until this point.

I just got no use for punks who think the world owes them something.

Gotham, two weeks ago...

The night stalker of the streets known as Batman had already fed on a mugger earlier in the night. His senses were at their peak, which made it much easier to notice something wrong with a few men down by the docks. The scent was like nothing Thomas Wayne had ever encountered. The men themselves didn't seem like much threats. Their odd zombie like state was nothing to the Bat. His sense of smell led him to try and lift one of the shirts of the men from behind, but before Batman could make out the starfish like creature on the men's spines they went into attack mode.

One week ago...

The vampire known as Batman went underwater to destroy what resembled organic starfish tech from under one of the larger boat docks. Finishing his mission he watched the water for any remaining Starros to try and swim away but there were none. Save for the one in his lab currently behind Plexiglas feeding on a cow. Upon returning to Wayne Manor, Thomas drove up the side of the property to a guest cottage, a nice cabin that also had a bunker under the surface. This served as his lab and research area, with his fortune from being a doctor as well as the son of a wealthy doctor backing any and all of his research. The Starro moved from the cow's spine to it's face once it tripled in size. Now it seems to be in complete control of the animal and watches Batman's every move in the bunker. After Batman removes his mask and approaches the Plexiglas, the eye of the Starro glows red and an energy blast hits the translucent wall of glass.

"So you feed on us, and we become a host? There's got to be something controlling all of you...."

Days go by and slowly Batman watches news reports as the Starros begin infesting other cities across the United States. With Superman off world and Wonder Woman making Europe her home, Batman would need to find new allies to combat the alien threat. On the screens of his massive computer there's news footage of a man with what appears to be future tech. Old footage of a semi retired thief who calls herself Catwoman also shows up in another window on screen as well as a red plane darting around Air Force jets in Coast City.

Coast City...

"I don't know about this, Judah. You sure I can land her on that building?" Scott asked from behind the controls of the plane Red Wing.

Scott Hendricks was hovering over the Coast City Community College, two buildings down from a building that was completely over run by Starro infected students and faculty. The tech growing on and around the building was also a sight to see with a starfish shaped control center like area busting through the upper floor walls.

"She's as light as a feather, Jimmy. Calm down." Judah replied from the barn on Scott's property, "Just put her down and see if you can make it to that building long enough to figure out what's growing in the top of it..."

"You really think these non-lethal rounds will protect me?" Scott asked.

"Just don't waste too many shots. If the infected already have the Starros on their faces aim for the Starro's eye. You can get by the ones with them on their spines easily enough by taking out their legs. The spores might still be on them, but you take out their means of transportation and they're as good as done." Judah explained.

"The students will be thankful enough to be alive, I'm sure they won't mind busted kneecaps here and there..." Scott replied.

Not entirely sure. I'm a fan of Grant Morrison but when I realized he was writing Batman before Bruce died so Dick could take over I quit keeping up. I knew of the Black Glove organization, the intro of Damian, Damian trying to attack the other Robins past and present, him becoming Robin, then Bruce died and it was Grayson as Bats and Damian written by Scott Snyder who's been writing Batman since the beginning of the New52 and now he's writing All Star Batman.

Either way, I'm sure Bruce's done his own test since adopting him as his own son. The way it's written he accepts him as his son without question.

On the JL side of the animated movie universe though, there needs to be a series of shorts or something to explain how the League went from Supes, Bats, WW, GL/Hal, Flash, Cyborg, and Shazam to also including GL/John, Aquaman, Hawkman, etc in JL Dark. And at the end when they offered Zatanna League status?!? I mean c'mon... there should've been another JL film in there somewhere instead of 3 or 4 animated Batman flicks.

I'm gonna hop into a titanpad and get a post in the can. I'll likely have Batman keeping tabs on the new heroes/players already established on Earth.

For me he just makes all the other Robins look redundant. And I can't accept Batman as the world's greatest detective if he's encountered Talia a dozen times in the past and NOT known about her having his kid. I liked him a lot more when it suggested he was a clone of Bruce like the Heretic was of Damian and how the clone Superboy was of Superman. It made much more sense if Talia would've cloned Bruce and artificially aged the kid a bit, then it would've made sense when Batman stormed the League of Assassins fortress all those times and never saw his kid around. Easier to program a clone than train a 10 year old assassin.

The movies are a lot more entertaining, and the first several were based on the origin of the New52 JL and the new animated film universe. Flashpoint is still my favorite even though it didn't do everything the comics did note for note. JL War was good, still haven't watched the second half of Throne of Atlantis [though I own the dvd], but JL vs TT and JL Dark were both also very entertaining. I haven't seen Bad Blood, but Son of Batman just cemented my hate for Damian after he takes Deathstroke's eye.

Some of these stories are the closest things to these classics being retold in the New52/Rebirth DCU. Which is why my fingers are still crossed for a GLC-centric War of Light or Blackest Night film.

Pretty sure it is/was a flashback. I liked Nightwing and Starfire clearly being the leaders of the group, but it sucks not having Cyborg around on the regular. We'll probably get a story of how Kori and Dick met, but that will likely be it. I just don't see them introducing us to Roy, Garth, Wally, and Donna.

Pretty sure it is, that's the main difference with the team roster. Nightwing gets his New52 suit, but the team made in JL vs TT is in tact with Damian, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy, Blue Beetle, and Nightwing. Terra was teased at the end after the credits on her way to Titans Tower in JL vs TT.

Jericho looks like he's being introduced, Brother Blood is coming along as a member and/or leader of HIVE, and Deathstroke still looks as he does in Son of Batman. I hate that Damian took his eye in this universe, but it should set up some interesting drama in Judas Contract.

Live action, I'm certain though our League will be a lot less commercialized LOL

Though I do LOVE the majority of the recent animated movies. Have you seen the trailer for Judas Contract? They're understandably updating the Teen Titans roster and updating some stuff, but even for a classics fan like me I think it looks as good as the other films. JL Dark was great but I'm not sure I like the end with how things were left for Etrigan and Swamp Thing.
