Bio

You JUST scrolled down!

Hello out there! My name's Mason. I like a lot of random stuff like comics, Masters of the Universe, M*A*S*H, X-Files, conspiracy theories, as well as a good superhero themed role play! I'm more of a DC freak than a Marvel zombie but I did grow up on mutants and 3rd string heroes. Once in awhile I'll make a few micros in MSPaint for my RP's because I love designing heroes as much as I do writing/reading about them. I'm about to try and get another Amalgam Universe themed game off the ground, if you're interested gimme a shout!

My top RP's on the Guild:

Young Justice 2020
Justice League Unlimited
Titans of Gotham
Champions of Engine City
Marvel Reborn
Legion of Superheroes Return [stat based]

Top Characters:

Ditto - Young Justice series
Bulleteer - Justice League Unlimited
Leviathan - Titans of Gotham
Fastlane - Champions of Engine City
the Thing II - Marvel Reborn
Ultra Boy II - Legion of Superheroes Return

I've been RP'ing for awhile. I mostly RP to keep my writing skills up to par, and I generally RP between Casual and Advanced. I've been a member of the guild for quite a bit, pre Guildfall even. Ninety percent of the time you'll find me in some superhero themed RP or something based off of another fandom like MotU or Power Rangers. Currently in the process of developing my own comics!

Favorite DC heroes (I won't go into villains to save space) in no order: Aquaman, Hawkman, Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner), Superboy (the clone), Swamp Thing, Starman, Animal Man, the Ray (90's era), Impulse, Captain Atom, and Batman Beyond.

Favorite Marvel heroes list: Human Torch I & II, Capt. Mar-Vell, Black Bolt, the classic Destroyer, Havok, Multiple Man, classic Scarlet Spider, Spiderman 2099, Nova, and Colossus.

OTHER FAVORITES: Space Ghost, Haunt, the Maxx, Shadowhawk, Green Hornet, Madman, Doctor Star/Andromeda, the Phantom, He-Man, and Zorro.

I've already mentioned the brotherhood so should I get in talks with y'all to?

Yeah. We could take it to the Titanpad, brainstorm ideas for both the X-Men and the Brotherhood there.

I started a list for both in the titanpad. The X-Men listed are the only older ones still in the field [save for Storm, too old...] and would be joined by a handful of younger new X-Men. The Brotherhood I ran with Scarlet Witch leading them and just threw a few names and ages in there...

Pretty sure that's how it is in most novels? That's how I was always taught to write dialogue anyway...

@Eviledd1984 This CS suffers from a lot of the same problems as the CS we're working on for the DC game. Quite a few typos, punctuation and capitalization errors, etc.

As far as the character presented, I like the concept for a villain or possibly an anti-hero or wildcard. I noticed you didn't know what to put for Key Differences since he's not a direct analog of another character, but I think I remember reading something somewhere about a possible connection to Nightmare that would be cool. Some of the actual bits of Bio, Sample Arcs, and your Supporting Characters list may need some edits though. Also, I think in the original CS requirements for this it was asked for Experience to be "anywhere from a few days up to 2 years." I made exceptions to the rule for the alternate universe Hulkerine as well as Deadgene since he was a mercenary for some time before putting on a costume, but you'll have to convince me why your guy needs an extra year of experience.

The parts of the CS I wanted to discuss involved the villains and supporting characters. If you plan on being a member of some more recent Brotherhood, @BlackSam3091 and myself will have to work with you on an actual roster in case we need them to show up later on for somebody else. With the Sample Arcs you mentioned being a gun for hire and working with Kingpin, who we've all already discussed could still be operating business as usual well into his 70's or 80's [can't remember who's character he was also gonna play a role in], but Tombstone and Hammerhead still running around robbing banks at that age is a little much. With your Supporting Characters list Tombstone is on there twice despite Kingpin not being listed once [and Kingpin would be a much more important character to list]. Tombstone and Hammerhead could be replaced by a couple no-name goons in the context of the story since they'd likely be too old to rob banks. I'm guessing Omega Red and Wanda/Scarlet Witch are listed to represent the Brotherhood, but I'd just want to put out there Omega Red's never worked for the Brotherhood before. Wanda would make an interesting choice to lead the group in her old age though, a lot of potential with that idea. Gwenpool though... gonna have to veto that one. Aside from not wanting too many alternate universe characters running around, she'd still be in her 40's and I just don't want an old lady in a pink Deadpool suit running around doing the usual Deadpool style shenanigans. Fighting an older Spiderman [Miles] at some point in your career was fine, and I'll likely still use him [Miles] to a degree later on for something with a next gen New Warriors.

So in closing, the CS needs a bit of work but there's potential. Working in a connection to Nightmare, elaborating more on what you've got planned for your character's backstory and story arcs, and fixing the punctuation and grammar issues would make this CS a lot more acceptable.

Days later, Legion HQ...

"Brainiac's ship teleported into sector 2811 four hours ago and lost power shortly after. Most of the beings in the ship are coming up as deactivated robots by our scanners. I think it's a trap, but the United Planets Defense is certain this is the main ship in Brainiac's fleet." Cosmic Boy told the group. "We've taken more losses over the last week with Hawk being taken out, Superforce suffering spine damage, and Bolt going into some kind of static coma. I don't know if such a small group can risk going into Brainiac 5's ship in the dark."

"That bastard destroyed my planet, Rokk." Ultra Boy said speaking up, "I don't care if the lights are off or on, I lost my parents and my kid sister when Daxam blew up..."

"We can't go in half cocked and without some sort of ace in the hole in case something goes wrong." Cosmic Boy commented looking at Ferro Lad to back him up, "I don't think you kids are ready..."

The last son of Daxam stormed off, because in his mind it was now or never. He wanted the alien tyrant to pay for what he'd done to his planet, and for betraying the Legion.

That left Momentum, Ferro Lad, the green clad alien that Momentum insists on calling 'Captain Marvel', the new girl with the sword calling herself Maxima, and Bulk Lad in the monitor room with Cosmic Boy floating around in his hover chair. Bulk Lad seemed a bit antsy to get back into battle as well after under-performing in the fight with Multiplus in Bludhaven.

"I don't think they're ready, Andrew. I don't want anybody else dying on my watch..." Cosmic Boy said to his oldest friend and teammate Ferro Lad, however he had no idea what the steel skinned man behind the iron mask was thinking.

Metropolis...

Batman had used his wealth and resources to get a plane for the group of misfit heroes going into a war zone. Over the last several hours, the Daily Planet building has become overrun by Starro infected civilians. The majority of the staff had been enslaved. Standing as one of the taller buildings in downtown Metropolis, the organic Starro tech began infecting the upper levels of the structure. A large star shaped satellite dish of sorts now grew and busted through the 'Planet globe as if broadcasting a signal. At least two hundred civilians had been enslaved with over forty percent of them already having the Starros moved over their faces for optimum control.

"We'll drop about two clicks from the target, Rex. Then get this plane to an air strip in Coast City. A friend of mine still has to make a living somehow..." Batman instructed to the pilot before walking back into the hangar with the rest of the gather superhumans.

There was nothing superhuman about Scott. He was just a man in a suit that happened to have fold out metal wings. He couldn't hear what Batman had said about dropping the plane they were in off at his airstrip. Hendricks was in awe already at the alien situation, but now he'd been introduced briefly by Batman to the strangest group of individuals he'd ever seen gathered. An alien woman with gold skin and fiery short hair, a more human looking alien king looking for Superman, a woman in a tech'ed out cat suit, and a guy who looked like he'd jumped out of a video game who the tabloids were calling Gold Star were all in the plane ready to drop out.

"This is us people. The plan is simple. Get in and disable as many of the face huggers as you can. The ones with the baby Starros still on their spines are more like zombies..." Batman began before Scott removed his helmet to ask.

"The face huggers can shoot lasers out of the Starros red eyes, and are more like enhanced zombies than Walking Dead zombies. Aim for the eyes and you can stun the creatures long enough to pull them off of civilians' faces." Scott mentioned, "Sorry Bats, didn't mean to steal your thunder."

"We need to reach whatever their central hub is and destroy what we can of the organic tech. Zod and the golden girl can try and destroy the device they've constructed at the top of the 'Planet building, but it seems as if they've got it surrounded by a small army with organic tech defenses..." Batman continued before the pilot yelled over the intercom.

"Opening the hangar door now. It's showtime Super Friends!" the man flying the plane screamed as the wind made it harder to heard over the opening door.

Scott put his helmet back on after putting an earbud in his left ear. He walked towards the edge of the hangar and folded his wings out as Danger Zone played in his ear. The Kenny Loggins tune that played in the movie Top Gun was now guiding Scott through the Metropolis skyline. Two building lengths away Batman was already crashing through an eighth story window with the two alien allies flying towards the top. Hawkman, Catwoman, and Booster Gold were all instructed to follow the vampire in and fight their way to the command center. Once they reached the Daily Planet building and the opening in it's structure left by Batman, Scott folded his wings back in and drew his two custom pistols.

@MThePathSeeker Yeah man right now it just depends on the quality of the CS. I don't *think* we have a Doom/Iron Man legacy yet, so you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

I've always preferred DC to Marvel. Favorite heroes are, in no particular order: Nightwing, Batman, Aquaman, Cyclops and Marvel's Hercules. Ok, I lied. That was in order.

I prefer DC to Marvel as well, just got the Marvel guys out of the way cause it was a Marvel thread LOL.

Favorite DC characters in no order: Aquaman, Hawkman, Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner), Superboy (the clone), Hourman, Animal Man, Impulse, Batman Beyond, Metamorpho, Ragman, Blue Devil, Swamp Thing, classic Alan Scott/GL, Bulletman, the Ray, Jakeem Thunder, Longshadow, Static (technically Milestone but he WAS in the DCU awhile), Starman (from Legion of Superheroes), Comet (formerly Capt. Comet), Capt. Atom, Deadman, Lightray, classic Guardian, Firestorm, and Zatanna.

I did NOT see that list being 26 characters long. Holy crap.

I like when they use Juggernaut as more than an X-Men villain. He made for a decent anti-hero and member of Excalibur.

All New Ultimates with Miles isn't a thing anymore, but it was the *premiere* superteam near the end of the Ultimate Universe until Secret Wars and the new patchwork planet [that will NEVER make sense, can't just forget about it] came about. Should still be a part of Miles history. The composition of that team just wasn't what it needed to be to last, basically Miles and Cloak along with a handful of white chicks [Bombshell, Shadowcat, Spidergirl/Black Widow II, and Dagger].

If I do a team in the game it'll likely be something like the New Warriors just with a smaller membership and old man Miles as a mentor.

Edit: Favorite Marvel characters list - Human Torch [I dig both Johnny and the android], Black Bolt, the classic Destroyer, Rogue, Multiple Man, classic Scarlet Spider, Juggernaut, Capt. Mar-vell [and his son Genis], Iron Fist, Spiderman 2099, Jack of Hearts, Thunderstrike, Angel, and Colossus.

@Demon Shinobi Assassin Spidey was one of my other favorites in that Spiderman Unlimited game. I like the look of Miles but as far as the stories they put him in... he's just one of those shock and awe characters who is 'destined to be one of the greatest heroes ever' but they never actually show us anything special that makes him great. They tell us how awesome he should and will be someday, but then put him in not one but three crappy teams in a row [All New Ultimates, All New Avengers, and Champions].

Though the Co-GM has plans for a team, I may still have an older Miles recruit a few of us into a smaller team for something like I'd originally planned, just down the road.
