Click her name for the theme songStanding at the back of the large crowd, dressed in all pink, and with a small Buneary perched atop her head, Reira Rose was excitedly waiting to get a chance to pick out a new Pokemon. One would never tell by her expression that she was happy, for she almost always wore a blank look on her face, but she was. This was the first step in her getting to travel around with Coco, her Buneary, and meet all different kinds of Pokemon. She wanted badly to meet as many different kinds as she could so she could learn about them and how to properly care for them all. It was the duty of a daycare owner to do so afterall.
As someone started speaking at the front of the crowd, Reira pushed herself up onto the tips of her toes in an attempt to see over the taller people. She could hear fine, but she was unable to see the woman who was speaking. Once the lady said everyone was free to pick a Pokemon, people began to talk excitedly and rush into the large building all at once. Reira, being the small girl she was, got pushed aside easily, somehow managing to stay at the back the entire time. Noticing this, her Buneary simply decided to hop off her head and bounce through the large crowd ahead of her, disappearing from Reira's sight. The girl panicked at this, calling out to her Pokemon as it ran ahead.
"Coco! W-wait for me!" she called, though her small voice was drowned out by the noise of the room.
Fighting her way past a few people, Reira managed to finally make it into the sanctuary, looking around and seeing a bunch of people and Pokemon laughing and having fun.
"Wow..." she mumbled, spinning in a circle as she looked around. She saw many small Pokemon run past her and between her feet and she smiled, walking around and keeping an eye out on her Buneary. She hoped someone wouldn't find her and think the little bunny Pokemon was up for grabs. Her worries however, were put to rest as she felt something jump onto her head.
"Buneary!"Sighing in relief, Reira reached up to pet her before resuming her roaming around. She wasn't looking for any specific Pokemon, though she figured she would know which one was for her when she met them.
"Coco.... do you think we can find a nice friend here?" she asked the small Pokemon. She didn't get a response, but the indecisive bunny hopped off her head again and ran off. Reira made sure to keep an eye on her this time and followed, jogging a bit to keep up with her.
"Where are you...? Oh."Coco had stopped under the shade of a large tree where a small pink Pokemon was hiding, seeming to be a bit frightened by all the people around it. Coco, being the outgoing little thing she was, went right up to the little thing and tried to play with it, hopping around and shouting excitedly. Reira could tell it only seemed to scare the little guy some more, so she knelt down on her knees and sat a few feet away.
"Coco, come here." she demanded with a gesture of her finger. The Buneary looked disappointed for a moment but obliged, hopping over and going to sit on Reira's lap. With one arm, Reira would keep her Pokemon still, wrapping it around the little bunny as she extended the other and held her hand out towards the frightened Pokemon.
"Come. We wont hurt you..." Reira told it, her expression calm and her voice gentle.
The little pink Pokemon peeked out from behind the tree and hesitated, looking between Reira and Coco who both simply waited. After a few moments, the little thing took some steps towards them and extended its short, stubby arm out towards Reira's hand. She kept still, allowing the Pokemon to take its time, and when she felt the small hand in hers, she slowly closed her fingers around it and pulled the little thing closer.
The pink Pokemon was easy to pull over and carry, as it seemed to weigh as much as a marshmallow. When Reira went to place the Pokemon on her lap, Coco moved over and the two creatures stared at each other in silence for a moment, both heads tilted a bit.
"Clef-fa?""Neary?""Reira?" she said, copying the two Pokemon, giggling a bit afterwards.
There seemed to be a bit of shyness at first, but after a few minutes passed, the two Pokemon seemed to be having an entire conversation with eachother. Coco had stood up and started making grand gestures and hopping around as if she was telling an exciting story, and the pink Pokemon clapped and smiled with excitement. Reira was relieved that the two seemed to be getting along.
For now she just had to wait and see if the little thing liked them enough to come with them.
