I see your point, but I still don't think you're taking into account how fast typical battles go and why it wouldn't end up like you think. Forgive me, but I'm hoping we can come to some sort of understanding about this with us both being happy. I'm really urging this idea because I like it a lot and want to keep it as is. Hopefully I can explain it properly.
If you really think about it, attacks that are blocked are immediately followed by some sort of counter move. The idea that my character would stay there for any period longer than 3 seconds is unlikely. She won't just stand there and leave herself open to an attack just to try and drain his aura. If she were fighting Cardin, she'd have to keep hitting him, taking his aura in small bursts through her attacks, knowing he's a heavy hitter and one strike from him could do some serious damage. If her move was blocked, she'd immediately fall back to avoid getting hit. Block or not, there will be no point in time where my character is going to just be standing still long enough to drain someone to the point of them being in immediate trouble of losing. Her Semblance works gradually, not all at once.
You can't really compare my character to Yang because she can take a hit, where as my character is more like Weiss, one strong hit can knock her down for some time. As I said before, being restricted to physical touch is unreasonable because she literally would have to poke someone like a hundred times before getting anywhere. She strikes fast with her weapons, which, may I add, further restrict the physical part seeing as she'd have one hand on her Rapier at all times. Assuming she wasn't using her dagger in her other hand, i still cant see her attacking and then just quickly patting someone with her free hand. It just can't work that way in my opinion.
Whilst Understand that it limits the use of it, it is still possible. As it stands at the moment lets say you were fighting Cardin, you hit his mace. He blocks your attack, now all you have to do is stay there and drain him dry. If he holds his block he loses, if he tries to attack you, you can quickly strike him repeatedly still drawing aura from him and damaging his aura with conventional attacks. It's the same if you fought someone with a shield like Jaune if he blocks you, you could simply stay and drain him dry.

If you have to make contact with a person however its a bit more balanced. Take yang for example, she has to punch people to do any major damage. That means getting in close getting around weapons etc even if just for a moment. This would be the same, you'd have to get under their guard and then all you have to do is touch them. That's before considering the additional bonus that the healing gives you in a competitive setting, especially as no other character has any way to heal.
