| PROFESSION |Adeptus Mechanicus Enginseer
| AGE |22
| SKILLS |- Machine Lore - As a member of the Adeptus Mechanicus, Syla has a very intimate knowledge of all things mechanical. She has learned how to work with machine spirits and is familiar with a vast majority of the Imperiumβs technology.
- Cybernetically Enhanced - Due to the numerous implants given to her by the Adeptus Mechanicus, Syla has gained a few unique abilities stemming from her Mechanicus Implants, cybernetic limbs, and Mechadendrite Harness.
| FLAWS |- Greed - Syla often times canβt help but satiate her wishes to expand her retinue of technology. The overt fascination with machines bred into her by the Adeptus Mechanicus has led to theft and endangerment on more than one occasion.

- Mechadendrite Harness - Bestowed to Syla on her promotion to Enginseer, her Mechadendrite Harness mounts a host of different Mechadendrites.

| BIOGRAPHY |Raised upon the greatest Forge World in the Imperium, Syla was brought up amongst the masses. Her parents worked for the controlling faction of Mars: the Adeptus Mechanicus as rather low ranking menials. This was to be her life as well, and Syla was content to live out just as her progenitors. It wasnβt until a major accident within a factory that the girlβs fate changed. Losing an arm whilst working, Syla was granted a cybernetic limb to allow her work to carry on. After this procedure, Sylaβs whole world was changed. After regaining her physical capabilities, an innate curiosity awakened within her. She wanted more. She wanted to become something more than human. As soon as she could afford to, Syla began production of her own cybernetic limb to upgrade her current arm and replace the other.
It was only then, when Sylaβs constant seeking for new schematics and knowledge of cybernetics that the Adeptus Mechanicus had taken notice and indoctrinated her as they did her parents so long ago. She swiftly surpassed the rank of Menial and moved on to Lexmechanic, the rank in which she spent the least amount of time. Syla was soon after promoted to Transmechanic due to the heavy need of communications experts for an outgoing Navy fleet. where she spent a great deal of her life. After her first promotion, Syla was tasked with leaving Mars and working with the Imperium on Terra. She found herself only years later becoming a Transmechanic and being shipped off onto an Imperial Navy ship, maintaining communications in the battlefleet. Throughout it all, her love of working with machines never stopped. During down time, Syla would assist Imperium mechanics when they found themselves at a loss and no Enginseers were around.
This unrelenting work ethic paid off when Syla's ship saw its first devastating combat encounter with the forces of Chaos. Syla's unit was massacred, leaving the very few survivors scarred by the evil forces they had witness cut down their closest friends. Being one of the remaining survivors, Syla was the most suitable (and only) living members of the Adeptus Mechanicus able to take the place of the unit's fallen Enginseer, and having spent most of her career with the Imperial men coupled with Syla's knack for machines and intense work, she was the most suitable candidate aboard the ship. Thus began her career in the lowest branch of the Cult Mechanicus. This promotion coupled with the special encounter with the forces of Chaos also made her a target for working with the Inquisition. Having a firsthand experience with the combating of heresy, the Inquisition requested the Adeptus Mechanicus allow the Tech Priest to work instead with the Imperium as she had for so long. The occurrence of Cult Mechanicus members working with the Inquisition was anomalous, but not unheard of, and since Syla was nothing more than an Enginseer, the Machine Cult obliged. Now coveting the equipment of the fallen Enginseer, Syla readied herself for the Inquisition's trials.
