Current Think I'm gonna finally get to RPing here. Don't know if I'm gonna commit, don't know where to start, and don't know what I'm gonna do, but I'm gonna do it.

I've had Johnny Cash on my mind all day. Can't get "When the Man Comes Around" out of my head. Tempted to let it influence some writing or make it a character's "theme"

I'm a bit scattered brained lately, so if I need to respond to a roleplay response, just remind me, I could've forgotten.

Finally done with the college semester, so I decided to treat myself to a expensive burger and a walk on the beach

Finally got Kokotha thread up. It's gonna be awkward in the first day of moving it here.

Bio

Hello, I am Patches

I roleplay as a hobby, as well as designing OCs to be used in various types of roleplays. No matter the setting, I believe I have one just for the situation.

He must have gotten lucky and fell between the spikes. She said, examining the corpse. She had the idea of bringing back some of the remains for inspection. She was sure some archeology groups would pay for the skeletons found here. Was it considered desecration if they were centuries old? ...Or he was rather unlucky, since he came to a dead end.

Taking the dagger, Wingate nodded, Let's hope the tomb of this forgotten hero is just beyond this door. She said,pointing the dagger towards the door, hoping that it'll work. But, then, with a short delay and a loud grinding noise, the door began to move apart. Sending dust everywhere. Doors that hadn't moved in millenias, were finally moving.
As Urik would enter the Rift, he would be welcomed by a twisted parody of the outside world. A large landscape of trees and rivers, swampland and wooden houses similar to the ones in Ramshorn, as far as the eye could see. Most of the houses were sinking into the muck or twisting and collapsing upon one another. Out from the ground, large tree roots, some the size of buildings, twisted around the landscape. The air was hot and humid.

There, in the middle of swamplands and decayed houses, was a pristine white building in the center of it all. A large castle, standing like a gemstone in a cesspool.

Other than the trees and a few odd insects, there was one other life form visible. Wading in the swamp waters, were a few strange locust like creatures. None of them seemed to acknowledge Urik, most of them just silently wading through the waters.
Yoshimi/Galette

@Ember Storm
@Nashie
The attacks hit the woman dead on, causing her to collapse to the ground. Quickly, her body fades away into sand. A gift, from the Queen. The remaining two said, one of them going for a strike on Johnny, the other going for Astrid. Soon, from the sand, rose up another copy of the woman, going for a strike on Yoshimi, her hands crackling with electricity.

What is this magic?! She said, as she delivered a backhand to the woman, causing it to explode into sand. Soon, she felt something hit her in the back, a strong electrified palm strike. But the source was no where in sight. Where is she?! Yoshimi shouted, nearly collapsing from the shock.

Gregor/Xenan

@MercuryNH
Well I'll be damned... Gregor said, lifting his hat as he saw him begin to heal. Gregor spoke in almost hushed whispers. He had dealt with all kinds of horrible people, yet he had never saw anything like this. In the name of Yim... What are you?

Alright, kid... I have an idea. This guy ain't gonna let us get to the master bedroom. What say you we keep going? Gregor said, looking to Mercury, Daud, Duff, keep him busy, Mercury and I will go forward! Gregor said, making sure to not mention their goal for Xenan to hear. Gregor only hoped the two could hold off the immortal.

@Ember Storm
Strangely, the shots didn't halt the healing, yet Xenan's body looked to corrode on touch from the voidstone. While the wounds from the bullets began to heal, they looked to heal at a slower rate. Stupid! Toys! Xenan said, looking more annoyed at his injuries.

@hefewy
Quickly, Xenan rolled out of the way of the attack, not willing to get pinned this early in the fight. I don't think you lot get the situation here. Xenan said, tossing a ball of light in the air. You don't have second chances. I do.
As he finished his sentence, several beams of light rained down on the battle field, heavily damaging both the expensive furnishing and anyone caught by one of the beams. One beam struck Xenan in the chest, leaving a large blackened crater. But as with all his other injuries, he began to heal up from it. I can mess up as many times as I wish. I can make mistakes. I can die again and again, and I will come back. All I need to do is have patience... He formed a blade of light in his hand, with fury in his eyes, he shouted ...And serve the Queen!

Gregor, ducking for cover, only narrowing dodged one of the beams, resulting in a burn on his left arm. Grunting in pain, he got ready to make his choice. Run for the goal or stay and help the others against an immortal opponent.
@Yomojo
Timid? Bookish? While that was totally true, didn't make it any less rude. Maybe it's some sort of test? Hueco said, looking out on the horizon, checking everything out. Looked awfully sparse for a Virus Stronghold. I know that some Virus servers have less traffic than others. I think that some of them are just here to take up space on Lifeline so we can't set up servers of our own.

At the request though, before Hueco could speak, the HIVE spoke up first. Speaking in an effeminate voice, Access Denied: We are bonded to AI hu.eco and only through his words may another AI have access to us, no matter their intentions. To which, Hueco added his own input, M-maybe after the mission alright?

@Polaris North
They weren't suppose to engage with the Ransom Level, but still... From what I know, most Ransom levels are immobile or can't leave a certain vicinity. The real problem is that we don't know exactly where the Ransom level is... So as soon as we find it we got to get out of there as soon as we can.

@Ryougu
Hueco let out a startled sound at the suggestion, his hairs standing on end. He had never confronted a Ransom level before but knew how powerful some of them could be Wouldn't that be a breach of orders? We'll be risking life and limb for a mission for another group.

This really was how most of his missions went lately. Being a coder and the weakest physically of the bunch, he'd be forced to comply with the strongest of the group. Ugh! If you get hurt don't cry when I can't heal you because a Ransom is on me.

Suggestion: the HIVE said, The squad should only confront the Ransom if it attacks. Breach of orders or not, the squad will have self defense on their side.

Hive...

@hefewy
This one was creeping him out... What was with that puppet anyways? Maybe she wanted to be a Coder but never got the opportunity to, now she had to substitute a puppet for a Drone.

But at least she was agreeing with him. So maybe she seemed sensible. In any case, we should start going before more dangerous viruses come after us. There aren't just spacefillers here after all.

Warning: the HIVE spoke, Several spacefiller viruses are headed towards this position from the north, south, and west sides of the building. Suggestion: Stay away from the windows, move towards the east. The drone's insects began to swarm around Hueco as some sort of protective barrier. From outside, the sound of running was heard.

We need to get moving.
@Traitor
Your post appears to be blank. Did you post something?
As the group would reach the door, the crack along the door would glow lightly, a soft blue color, reacting to the dagger but not activating.

Hm... Wingate, said, kneeling down to the skeleton on the floor, searching through his belongings, until she found just what she was looking for; another journal. Taking out the journal, she flipped through the pages. Most of it was the same as last time, cataloguing an adventure across the sea, cataloguing their camping when they made it to shore, until she made it to the last page.

To whoever is reading this, if anyone ever finds this, I have betrayed my crew. Wingate read out loud, slowly as she had to translate from Yiskin. I have pushed my crew to their limits, have set so many people back home, all in the sake of some treasure that might not even exist... Now I am here, at a door that won't even open... The key to activate it is behind a wall of sand. If any of my crew finds me, I'm sorry.

I feel dizzy.

The journal ended there.
There, beyond the door, in the center of a room cleared out, was a glowing rift. Floating in the air, like a slash in space, a rift to the world of Yim.

An amalgamate? A powerful Caster? The possible source of the curse that had befell this town?
Hueco, standing on the roof of a building across from the meeting zone, flipped through the profiles of the AIs on his holoscreen, taking note of their class and a bit on their bio.

@Yomojo@hefewy
A pair of hackers. Personally their abilities scared him, like a more dangerous version of his own powers. But he had to get along with them in order to achieve victory.
@Ryougu
A protector? He'd be useful for him. Hueco would have to hide behind his shield if he wanted to stay alive.
@Polaris North
Lastly an attacker. Their main source of damage. Hueco didn't know how people did it. Going out on the front line in the middle of danger.

Leaping down, Hueco made his way to the group. Hey hey! Hueco waved to them, trying to make good first impressions, being the only Coder in the group. Seems I'm... A bit late to the party. Hueco said, looking at the viruses on the ground. They usually disappeared when they died didn't they? Looked like one of the Hacker's must've been keeping them dormant. Several of Hueco's pseudo-drones began to scan the dormant viruses, the main one pulling up a analysis on them.

Is there more coming? You all got the mission brief, right? Hueco said, pulling up his map. From the looks of it, they were the only non-Virus AIs in the area. Where as the squad leader? Did they not need one on this simple recon mission. I've mapped out a lot of the eastern area, my Hive specializes in this sort of thing, keeping my hands free, but the center is a bit more difficult... Too many Viruses.
Which ever you prefer, but I'm limiting people to 1 character for now until further notice.
It is possible that the dagger is powering all of it. A tomb of a forgotten hero. Why would they go out of their way to hide the end of the tomb so much? Even creating a device that powers runes without any sign of interacting with them? Wingate tapped her chin, Strange... Either we're missing something or the people who did remember this hero have a lot of dedication.

As the two made it into the antechamber, they'd be created by a large door. The antechamber was mostly empty. There, lying at the entrance to the door, was another skeleton, in a sitting position.
