@ Peik - I have an idea of how that could probably work out well and in the present in the future. Due ot the circumstances, it's going to very difficult, but not impossible for every character to pursue their own own agenda given how the Lord Regent Conqvist was able to mass invite all the high profile targets into one area and somehow cause great harm against them in one epic fell swoop. The Lord Regent has his own plans and his cleverly orchestrated scheming was instrumental in efficiently stealing Korkud's horses and possessions.

This is where collaborating scheming with the other writers would probably make for some interesting developments and preparations against such dangerous opponents like Conqvist or Emperor Aryanpour, who have many assets, ambitions, and resources at their disposal. Such schemes with the other writers would also certainly complicate and in some cases, completely derail the certain conspiracies in the characters' favor and completely reverse some outcomes that would normally greatly favor the antagonistic characters.

As such it's not a bad idea to separate than to stay together in one massive group! I do advocate and encourage that for this current episode, the characters remain in Voltas until an appropriate time. I promise that this episode will go by a lot more quickly than the last one and that we'll be reaching Episode 3 before you all know it!

I am not necessarily saying that my suggestions should be put into the works right now - I am merely speaking for the grand scheme of things in the RP. While the Altaea isn't a NRP, it never struck me as the sort of RP that has the entire cast of characters partied together throughout either.
It was been my intention to really make Altaea feel like it's in the Late Middle Ages, but I've realized that it's got a Middle Renaissance - Early Modern period vibe. I've also realize that there must be room for more interaction and so far, I don't intend for the story-direction to be linear or one-dimensional. I wanted to keep the story confined to certain section within Voltas, the former Valanian capital so as to keep all the characters together and allow for more interaction and growth, but I'd like to know all your two cents about all this. This next episode will allow for huge opportunities and several major plot developments that may possibly change the future for centuries to come.

I believe that the players should be able to leave Voltas, or even separate from the party for some periods if their agenda requires so, and the plot allows. Our party has many high-profile targets, and having them together in the Capital for extended periods would be a stretch in my opinion, let alone being able to stay in cities that are supposed to serve Royalty that wishes harm for us.

And frankly, Altaea's world has a lot of effort put in it. It feels alive. I think it would be a shame to let the world of Altaea go to waste and for the players to be unable to benefit from the world if that would suit their agenda.

While I don't like Nation Roleplays, Altaea is unique in my opinion because it's about high-profile people who could possibly end up as rulers of nations, or armies. We have a lot of nobility and important people in the party, and I believe that theirs is a fight that needs a political side alongside others to be won, and restricting the party in space would also restrict this part of the roleplay.

I've lived in Alberta for 8 years, freezing over was fun the first time around, it gets painful quick afterwards.

Trust me, @Dervish still lives there and he knows.

Nah, I'm fat enough to handle the cold. I've been to some cold places, and honestly I enjoyed myself.
I don't like the climate where I live but I like the scenery. I wish it'd just freeze over so I could enjoy it even more.
A link to all pads in use feels like the best way to proceed to me. This way one post proceeding with two players will not contradict two other players' posts.
I agree with the pacing problems and I'm also similarly surprised that this actually survived. I think the most important thing in a RP is cooperation and, well, interaction. While I appreciate collaboration, I couldn't help but feel somewhat isolated from other players, be it because of the quiet OOC and because of our reliance on mixing things together in a pad which could be hard because of the time-zones or other things.

I agree with @FernStone that more interaction between the players would be golden, and better pacing would definitely be a help, which can be easily reached through shorter posts (not one-liners or like three-sentences and we're done sort of shit, just more contained posts, as the way we've done it so far can sometimes be hard to digest).

So, @Chrononaut is the man who sold the world then?

From @Chrono, two Phantoms were born

I knew him when he called himself that. It was a different time. Words bleed together, faces, names... A different time.

...I spoke into his eyes / I thought you died alone, a long long time ago...

Srsly tho, it's a pretty fun game when you play against people of your skill level (mine being lowest of the low). Damn simple too.
