"no u" - SleepingSilence

It was a half-serious joke, you don't heff to be mad.
<Snipped quote by SleepingSilence>

That's a pretty extreme description of what it means to have sexual desire, maybe you shouldn't be using personal anecdotes to describe 99% of the population.

<Snipped quote by SleepingSilence>

All jokes aside that's a sweeping statement,

Ooof, that's a lot to ask for from our pal SleepingSilence. Sweeping generalizations and using personal anecdotes to describe 99% of the people in question is basically all he does. You're practically asking him to shut up.

This looks pretty cool. I will keep an eye on it.
And if you're out of the loop. Because of his girlfriend kept bragging about her cute dog. He made his girlfriend's small dog, do the least cute thing he could think of, and learn to lift one paw to the word "sieg heil" and made a video of it while giggling. This joke, which no one on earth cared about. Is now possibly putting a man behind bars... (save the cheering, defending or "it's a fringe, 'entire country'" comments on this one.)

I think that kind of political correctness is counterproductive. In punishing someone over a joke (and I don't know all the details of the case, I'm taking your word for it), you are pissing people off, who then come to the conclusion that minorities are to blame. So, in trying to protect minorities, you end up hurting them because now you've got people who are pissed off that a multicultural society is leading to people getting jailed over jokes, when really it's not the multicultural society that is to blame for that - it's the law that makes it possible to throw someone in jail for a joke.

Snip

You can think whatever you want about the sources, it does not change the fact that they have called for "peaceful" ethnic cleansing among other things. You are free to look up information using your preferred sources, if you actually care to. Not surprised you still defend them, though. You've already displayed your ignorance in spectacular fashion with your comment about the nazi party a few pages back. I'm going to have a lot of trouble taking you seriously after that one.

EVERYBODY: Who do you disagree with and also think people shouldn't hate?

Conservatives, I guess. I disagree with them but that doesn't mean I hate them. Also religion. I have a lot of issues with it, but I don't hate the people who practice it.

@Pepperm1nts
I would like to see the "peaceful ethnic cleansing" evidence and the fact that only whites are permitted in their state. I am not sure how many times I need reiterate that based on what has been presented there is no real suggestion of that.

Or look at Richard Spencer's wikipedia page, where the claim is mentioned and cited: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_B._Spencer

@Dynamo Frokane
they are more interested in preserving a national identity and culture than a race and are apparently against violence to achieve these ends.

They are interested in an ethno-state. A white ethno-state. And they have spoken about "peaceful ethnic cleansing". In order to form their desired ethno-state they want to remove all non-whites. Many of them also speak out against interracial marriage and sex. So stop trying to paint them as if they're just nationalists that want to protect American culture. Your claim that "it is more about national identity than race" is completely wrong and ignorant of the fact that, to them, both of those things are intertwined. They believe the national identity of the state should revolve around the white race, specifically. Hence why they want a white ethno-state. Race is as important and central to their beliefs as nationalism. That said, I agree they have the right to say whatever they want. However, I understand completely why many people have a problem with what they have to say. And just as it is their right to speak, it is everyone else's right to protest them and their beliefs.

So the Nationalist Socialist Party.

"I thought North Korea was a dictatorship, but their name says they're a democratic people's republic, so they must be democratic." - SleepingSilence, probably

As an unrelated note for the record, @Pepperm1nts, I have heard fewer complaints about the behavior of the extreme social justice warriors

Probably because in the grand scale of things they (the people actually shutting speeches down) are a minority of people who the right likes to shine a spotlight on to the paint the entire left as anti-free speech.

than I have the "Alt-Right" disavowing actual white nationalists and Neo-Nazis

The Alt-Right are the white nationalists and neo-nazis.

Assuming you meant to say conservatives: You really don't have to look very far to see people defending the alt-right. Like, really, look no further than the President following the Charlottesville attack, with his "good people on both sides" comment. Look no further than all the people who defended the murderer by claiming he was fleeing an attack despite overwhelming evidence of the contrary. Look no further than the President pretending he didn't know who David Duke was after being endorsed by him. Or the fact that Steve Bannon - the guy who described his platform as being "for the alt-right" back in 2016 - was White House Chief Strategist for the first seven months of the administration. These among countless examples. Being blind to the wrongs of one side because you prefer them politically does not constitute lack of evidence.

Green-haired college students sometimes protest people to the point of shutting their speech down. That must mean the entire left is against free speech, right? Ben Shapiro and Crowder told me so!
