They're not LONG chapters; but the fact I've managed to right 2 meh and 4 half decent ones in 4 days makes me very happy with myself.

We added the book store plus a diner, both good roleplaying locales.
It just now occurred to me, but why is your character name after Doc Brown from back to the future?

This is why Brenner brings rubber bands, they are a vital component in many home-brew projectile weapons and are allowed on airplanes.
"Fine by me, Brenner responds "I don't sleep well in unsecured rooms so I'll probably just guard the window." the old man adds, taking the other key.
