One of the last things Koru had been expecting behind the tapping door was a young girl, stranger still was the tavern's location appeared to have shifted from when he last walked through it. Relaxing he knelt down so he was eye level with the young girl, a warm smile on his face. Based on what he had been told this girl didn't seem like any emissary for powerful and cruel gods.

"Hello there little one" he positioned himself so that all those who wished to know what had been causing the tapping was could see "Can I help you in any way?"

His relief wearing off Koru couldn't help but feel a little silly at his apprehension.

Stepney was quit happy being off in his own little world of wonderment, thoughts of steam and metal bending into many shapes and contraptions. The trail was easy enough to follow, their guide looked to know what he was doing and gave Stepney no reason to think he was being lead astray.

Suddenly the sound of a train in his mind was perhaps a little too real, and a whole lot more twisted then he had once thought. Now alert to his surroundings he looked around wildly hoping to catch a glance at whatever was making that horrendous noise.

Kenny looked with mild distant at the jersey, the fabric always seemed to rub hum the wrong way. Still he understood the need to differentiate the teams, so begrudgingly he pulled it over his head. Still, the prospect of running around beat sitting in front of a screen answering questions any day of the week. Taking up his position he bounced his weight from one foot to the other getting the blood flowing and pumping himself up.

A chill ran throughout Koru's body, while none of the names seemed to align with any of the gods from religions he had observed he couldn't help but shake the unease he felt. Simply thinking the names left his hands with a tremor so subtle that it might have been merely a draft. For once in a long time, Koru didn't want to pursue this font of knowledge his usually thirst for information being sated unusually early. Against his better judgement he jotted down the names in his tomb and closed it swiftly closed the book seemingly with little care for the ink that might bleed onto another page. This coupled with the terror filled glances he kept throwing the door's way only added to the unease the tapping had sown throughout the tavern.

"Someone get the bloody door!" a rough voice broke Koru's train of thought; the bartender was clearly more irritated then wary of this sound.

Koru sighed, as much as he would have liked to let the others deal with whatever strange occurrence the worry looks of the current patrons were either too afraid or busy to answer the call. Packing his book away Koru took long strides across to the door, hoping his body language would be enough to hide the fear behind his eyes.

Gently he opened the door and observed whatever was on the other side.

Good, group work's finally got a positive ratio of useless to useful team members. And how were your holidays?

Yeah, Promise to never let it go that long without respond again?

In other news welcome back! I can't say I've read that one, would you recommend it?

Koru had to catch himself from choking on his wine, "You'll have to pardon me" he chortled between breaths "a human speaking of such things as mortality is quite hard to take seriously". Pulling a simple handkerchief from another of his many pouches he contains the remaining splutters to its fabrics and gently dabs, "Though I would not write your god off quite so soon as such a large number exist, it would be foolish to suggest otherwise, a name might help me fine any evidence for it"

'ra-ta-ta-tat'

He wasn't entirely sure the grizzled gumshoe had head him, following the human's eyes he found them resting on a woman who looked like she had seen her fair share of travel. Someone who would surely have a tale to tell, but Hardwick seemed to be quite interested in her and he did not want to 'Inhibit his style' as some child would say a few towns back.

'ra-ta-ta-tat' that sound again, it was starting to become a nuisance but nothing that couldn't be shifted to the back of his mind for now.

"Perhaps" he began hoping to gain the human's attention "You should go over and order he a drink? I believe that is the proper conduct when courting a woman in such an establishment to purchase a drink for the maiden" confident he had given the human sound advice his mind began to wonder.

'ra-ta-ta-tat'

Now he was paying more attention the sound's origin became easier to locate. The Door? But why would some one tap at a door a tavern, particularly one that seemed more than open. He looked on with interest fresh page in his book and a well inked quill at the ready, if there was one thing he knew about strange happenings was let others try first if you can.

The loud thumping of Rupal's heart almost drowned out the musicians words, the 'bravery' that had lead the blacksmith here seemed to have left him right when he needed it most. He could feel a small bead of sweat rolling down the front of his forehead his breathing becoming labored, to a trained eye there was a clear tremor resonated throughout his body. Rupal found himself unconsciously taking a step back, he wanted to run but the imagery of the woman’s fair came rushing back reminding him that he was probably already in too deep to escape now.

Before either person could act a loud crack could be heard as wooden boarding came crashing down from the roof, the dust that coated the floor scattered into the air slightly obscuring the musician. Rupal leaped back more in terror than to avoid any of the falling planks and landed flat on his back. A brief glance up showed no sign of what caused the damage, perhaps this was more work of the musician?

"W-wwhere’s th-the Seraphim?!" Rupal did his best to sound intimidating however his stammering voice and current position on the floor did not help him in the slightest.

Quickly and clumsily Rupal scrambled to his feet and into a stance that was a little more stable then the one he had been previously held. Seeing that the musician had been mildly stunned Rupal felt his fear loosened its grip on him. Taking a powerful step forward he readied his hammer above his head and brought its weight down on the creepy musician. Before the hammer made contact a thin string caught the light lashing out and coiling around the hammer halting it fall. No matter how he the string held fast against the pressure he forced against them.

His fear came rushing back, coming here was without a doubt the worse idea he had ever had.
