Current Projects/Freelance work

  • I am a voice talent and script writer for Faerun History
  • I have a much smaller personal Youtube channel that I use to make videos on various subjects. Only been making videos for 2 years, but it's growing!
  • I'm the host of a Science Fiction & Fantasy Podcast where I interview authors of the genre.

Interests (Includes but is not limited to)

  • Writing/Reading (Love writing and I own too many books)
  • Video Games (Been a gamer for close to 23 years now)
  • Working Out/Martial Arts (Wing Chun/Oyama Karate mostly. Some historical swordplay as well.)
  • History (Military History is my specialty)
  • Zoology
  • Art (Mostly Illustrations. Used to be good. Am picking it back up)
  • Voice Acting/Singing
  • Tabletop Gaming (Started late in the game. Been at it for 3 years. I was the kid who bought the monster manuals and D&D books just for the lore for the longest time. I've played 3.5e, 5e, Star Wars D20, Edge of the Empire, PF, and PF2.)
  • Weaponry of all kinds
  • Anime (mostly action/shonen. DBZ & YYH being my favorites)
  • Movies (Action/War/Drama films being my go-to)
  • Music (Rock of all kinds, as well as historical folk songs, sea shanties, pub songs, a bit of classical music, etc)
  • Guitar (am learning to play, but being left handed makes it challenging)
  • There's more but if you care enough you can PM me :P

Roleplay F.A.Q.

  • Fantasy, Sci Fi, and Historical are my genres. Fantasy being my favorite and Sci Fi/Historical being close seconds.
  • Advanced / Nation / 1x1 / Casual (only in certain circumstances)
  • I generally write at the 'Advanced Level' meaning 4+ Paragraphs with good grammar.
  • I am usually busy with many projects and RPs, but if you wish to do a 1x1 with me, you'll need to present your case. Those I already do it with have my trust as a Roleplayer.
  • I love many, many fictional universes so me trying to list them all is an effort in futility!

We'll miss ya!
Yeah, I am still quite excited.
Completely off-topic, but that reminds me of the old Infinity Engine-era RPG's where low Int characters had different dialogue and it was fucking hilarious.

LooooL. I got this off Neverwinter Nights. I had an 8 INT Dwarf and he was asked to speak the code of the serpents, and his best dialogue was "Me likes snakes"
For those who are over the time limit, you have 4 days to post after this one I just made :)
They trudged through the mud and the mire for what seemed like hours, until finally they found an end of the disgusting and smelly bog. It was the first bit of ground they had found that their feet didn't sink into once stepped upon. "Good, solid ground." Geradin muttered, stomping on the patched dirt for good measure. To the side, Beren the warrior Monk practically leaped out of the swamp, hitting the dirt and shaking his feet and legs like a dog would. He hadn't seemed to dislike the experience though, the Caramel skinned young fighter was pretty much the only one other than the towering, armor clad Lizardman to not hold his nose for any length of time.

Geradin patted his robes, grumbling. Calanon stood before the group, gazing into the heavily wooded forest before them with his keen Elven eyes. Beside him, Brogach the Red Elk stood, ears erect. The group continued to collect themselves and dry off, before Calanon suddenly drew his bow in a lightning swift motion and aimed at the trees before any of them could blink.

"Hiyovin'la!" A voice called out, drifting from the Woods as if the very trees had spoken to them. The ranger blinked, and lowered his bow slightly. He called back in Elvish, speaking for a few moments in a language none could decipher, gesturing to his group as he did so. Another voice, a different one but no less whimsical, spoke from another direction within the forest, and soon Elves clad in brown leather and green tunics, over light mail revealed themselves, striding out of the treeline armed with spears, swords, and bows drawn.

The Lizardman, now known as Argon, hissed warningly. Beren the monk had put up his guard as soon as Calanon had begun conversing, but he dropped it now and did his best to soothe the warrior beastman beside him. "They're the one's we're supposed to meet." he told Argon. The Lizardman blinked, and tilted his head in a very alien manner. "Oh. I shall stay my blade for now. Thank you, friend Beren."

At the fore, a blonde Elven woman clad in functional but light armor strode before them. Hands on her hips, she measured the travelers with a look of appraisal. Pointed ears poked out of her golden mane of hair. "I see you were sent by Vanya. I trust the bog was not too difficult for you." Her voice would have been honeyed and pleasant if it had not come from someone who was so obviously used to commanding others in combat situations, making it more hoarse and curt. "I am Verya. If you're done wiping yourselves off, we will take you to our waypoint and provide food and clean water. You'll need it. Troubling news has reached us."

Also@Not Fishing, I like the character. Only a few things that need to be changed. 1) Dwarves enjoy living within mountains and underground, but every Dwarf does see the surface every now and then, so he wouldn't be a stranger to it.
2) Make it so he's from the Silver Marches in his history. I want it to be closer to some lore, and up there is a wild region where sparse Dwarf settlements like the one you described can sometimes be found.
3) I realize this isn't a dice game, and the stats are merely guidelines, but if you want someone with a 7 intelligence, you'll not be speaking in complete and competent sentences. A 10 is usually a normal speaker, much less someone who gives witty puns or one liners, so keep that in mind. Your guy might be going "Me likes caves to fight in, yes? Goblins much much yes? Me enjoys fun with Gobbos!"

Other than that though, he seems fine :)
Before them, and elderly chap that looked more like a kindly old grandfather than ruler of this swiftly growing town strode forward, his cane 'clacking' onto the stone every other step. Blue and grey banners emblazoned with shield symbols lined the ceiling about them in this central hall. To the left of the man, a great hearth fire was lit to keep the cold from seeping in. Guards, men of the 'Shieldsworn' lines the hall like the pillars that held the great roof above them.

"Well met, travelers." he said, his voice and eyes still full of a hidden strength and befitting a quality of leadership. "I take it you had no troubles finding your way?" As he approached, he had the barest hint of a smile from the joke, for Griffonwatch Keep was upon the highest bluff to the north east and could be viewed from almost anywhere for miles around. "Indeed, I think it fortuitous that so many have come to my call. These are dire times you know, though of course, dire times breed men and women who look for fortune."

The lean, younger man gave an appreciative smile at the elderly gentlemen's manner, as if looking at some memory he had not seen in years that amused him. The coal skinned Dwarf merely stayed silent, darkly garbed and red eyes as dangerous as the ferocious long Knives that were sheathed at his stout belt.

"But I digress," the older man chuckled. "I am Grigor Hulmaster, Harmarch of this fine settlement and I keep the peace, so long as it can be kept. But, at times I simply do not have the strength of numbers that I wish, you know. Pirates have raided our shipments, and the...new commerce in the city, while appreciative, causes various power struggles within my modest city. It is all my Shieldsworn and I can do to keep order within, much less without." He paused, letting them all absorb his words before he continued. "It is without, that I call you to go."

The Duergar (Deep Dwarf) squinted ever so lightly, hoping the old man would get to the point. A few paces to his left, nearer the fire, the human with the twin swords seemed to hang on the Harmarch's words, for that was where the payment would spring from.

"I know not if many of you have been here long, but as some of you may know, north of Hulburg is a barren land of highlands and lowland valleys where the dead are buried in tombs of old. We call it the Highfells. North of that is a wasteland called Thar, where many monsters and beasts roam and slaughter." As he spoke, he cleared his ancient throat. "Forgive me, I was about to regale you with a lecture in geography. I ramble you know... It is within the Highfells you go, for it is illegal to raid the tombs of old, yet someone recently has been doing this in increasing numbers. The legality is not only for respect, but an ancient curse of an older Lich lies on the land. If you open a tomb, you are liable to run into the risen dead called back to life by the magics of Aesperus, the King in Copper. I won't provide you with a history lesson unless you ask for it, but I will say this-"

He held up his finger. "-some say the King in Copper still resides within the Highfells. Though of course, those are only rumors. What is a more immediate danger, of course, are brigands, tomb robbers, spirits, and Orcs migrating south to raid. I task you all with finding who is out there, raiding the tombs, and bring them to justice. If it is done, and done in a manner that does not breech my trust, you will each receive one hundred and seventy five pieces of Gold. Does this task seem favorable to ones such as you?"
Welcome! Glad to have you :)
