The King's Quest

Vauldis' interest in the new arrivals was incredibly low, amusing himself by creating small shadow balls in his hands and attempting to shape them. His efforts were in vain as the balls seemed to move back to their original shape soon after being moulded.
The lycan immediately stopped after noticing the elf approach. Dissipating the dark spheres, he grinned and approached the elf "An elf?" Noticing her glowing weaponry he faltered for a moment before his toothy grin returned "A priestess no less,aren't you a little far from your temple?" While Vauldis had no personal experience with the elves, stories and legends of them and their werewolf slaying weapons were still told among the tribes to this day. However the weapon seemed to shine a little to much, after all, he wasn't a true werewolf Perhaps their weapons have became more sensitive over time.. The lycan then turned to Malakaus , he inspected him for a moment before turning back to the elf, waiting for a response.

Okay here's the start of the lycan lore, I'm definitely adding more to it but I want to leave what I've made tonight here in case anyone wants to reference it in any other lore

Lycan Lore

Lycans are descendants of ancient, and powerful werewolves and typically live in tribe-like societies.

Lycans are generally a savage and fairly primitive race, despite this they often boast that they were one of the first races in Naviance after being cast out of other kingdoms. Lycans have a rather turbulent history with the elves, many tribes struggled to repel early raiding parties from the elves as the tribes were built up and established, this lead to a tradition amount many tribes to cut the ears off captured elves and to wear them around their neck to signify that lycan's ownership of slaves.

Tribes:

The Hightooth tribe- An intelligent tribe of lycans that are advancing at at much faster rate than any other tribe, their tribe's camp resembles more of a town than any other lycan tribe
The Blackjaw tribe- A tribe originally renowned for it's cunning, it was one of the first tribes to worship dark beings over more druidic practices
The Goldtooth- A tribe famed amoung the Lycans for it's huge mine systems it has built into the mountains in their region , work closely with the Whip-Weaver tribe
The Bloodfang- A tribe of warriors famed for their raw power and combat prowess
The Silentpaw- A tribe of skilled hunters , capable of hunting all but the most powerful beasts of the land
The Whipweaver- A tribe of slavers who usually retrieve survivors after battles to trade with other tribes, founded the tradition of removing a slaves ears and occasionally wearing them on a necklace

Each of these clans work together to survive. Conflicts, although fairly frequent , are quickly forgiven and forgotten, especially in recent years as the human empire of Naviance begins to expand into the outer villages of many tribes.

I think I'll compile all that in the lycan lore, you don't mind me having mention of your elves in there, do you Riffus? I just think it would make sense/be interesting for Elves and lycans to be old enemies.

But yeah I agree with your suggestion for how the elf blades would react.

So, are we okay to just drop the lore in a paragraph or would you prefer it in a more organised format?

Also I feel obliged to rush Vauldis' greetings to Riffus' character, even if the weapon's glowing wasn't directed at Vauldis. On that topic, would they actually react to him or only pure werewolves (like Taimane) ?

Vauldis inspected Artemis for a moment, slightly startled by her confidence , he thought his features alone would discourage that. He quickly recovered however and replied to the question " I assure you, the whores gossip is true, werewolves are still lurking in your little cities, slowly increasing in numbers as their existence is forgotten by the average peasant. But I'm no werewolf. My bloodline has held the curse for so long however, we have became our own race. Lucky for you, the curse is no longer contagious either so if a beast starts assaulting us at a full moon, don't blame me." The lycan seemed to grumble the last part in a rather irritated tone, as though he expected any night time attacks to be blamed on him.

Lucian strolled forwards after each of them had spoken before his eyes rested on Oaken. A wave of realisation hit him about Kalmia's reason for choosing Lucian over Oaken , a devilish grin briefly grew on his face before he approached the boy extending his hand in a friendly way "Hello,Oaken. My name is Lucian, would you care to battle? Sorry to hear you didn't get to join Kalmia's little team of hopefuls but I assure you" A slight grin once again flashed on his face "Everyone in this group deserves the right to be here. For one reason or another, but I'm sure you will still put up a spectacular fight." The darkly dressed teenager quickly withdrew his hand before Oaken could shake it "having said that, time is money, so let's get this battle going quickly" He turned to the rest of Kalmia's group "would any of you ladies or gentlemen care to join me in beating this fellow and one of his other assosiates?" Lucian asked , as he reached into his pocket for his pokeball, containing houndour.

Yeah Discord is great for anything imo , even though it was built for gaming.

Vauldis finally arrived at the city gates before looking around for the point he was told to meet at.
Vauldis quickly found his way to the allotted meeting point, it was hard to miss ,and made his way to it with little event other than a few suspicious stares. As he arrived at the meeting point, he noted it was a fairly odd group, ranging from a large demon to a young, cloaked girl "Hello." the lycan said as he finally decided to drop the guise of an old man and raised to his full height "I am Vauldis, and I trust we're all here to assist the king in his...current predicament?" the necromancer spoke as he dropped his hood and revealed his slightly rotten wolf appearance to the group.
