Current Teaching myself web development by trying to fix some BBCode bugs/features in the Guild is probably a bad idea. Oh, well.

If school were less hard, it'd be less interesting. I still want it to be less hard, though.

Occasionally I start RP's and hope that nobody joins, just for a slight amusement.

Like my cupcake-refrigerator advanced RP.
Still alive! Very spotty internet, still. Monday can't come fast enough.
*gasps for electronic air*

I've got internet for these precious few minutes! Who knows when this router will die again? Not me! See you stably on Monday!

*begins furiously reading the IC*
So I've recently moved to Maine.

As it turns out, our new network router hasn't arrived yet. Happily, we had our old one, so I plugged it in. Every device (except for our droid phones [Samsung galaxy is doing fine, though]) has successfully connected to the wireless router. The connection seems to be a bit unstable at times, but it works.

However, only two devices are ever actually connected to the internet at a time. Which two devices seems to be entirely random. We're having a guy come to look at it on Monday. Until then, it's like playing Russian Roulette with an internet connection. Will this post save? Who knows! There's a 50/50 chance I'll actually have internet when I try to save it.

Freakin' Road Runner/Time Warner?|Terrible Modem?|Incompatible Wireless Router?|Network Gremlins?|Free Radicals?, screwing with my internet, preventing me from having fun.

sometimes has internet. Should be fixed on Monday. Now is 10:50pm on Thursday. Moving is fun.
I'm moving; expect limited responses. If you need Dr. Kate to do something, go ahead and make her do it. Just try to stick to her personality, and if you think you've screwed something up, don't panic. I'll just incorporate it into my vision for her. Right now I've got wifi, but no guaruntees over the next three days!

I am, in essence, giving you permission to roleplay Dr. Kate for a few days. Don't get her killed. I'll let you know when I've got reliable internet again.

I'm stalking Raidne. who I am begining to think meant Raiden and then just rolled with it.

Wait. I need to update that other thread that I'm supposed to be GM'ing, don't I? Very subtle. Also, I legitimately picked "Raidne". I like sirens. I wanted to grow up to be one back when I was adorably small. Also, I'm so flattered! I've got a stalker! <3

Or, wait, no, I should be horrified, shouldn't I? </3
The tier one thing: (responding to JonxlatheLion):

I'm potentially okay with it. I've got a few questions, however:

1. What are you going to struggle against as tier 1? We don't have any other tier 1's, so that really only leaves you with dealing with internal/moral issues (or maybe I'm just not thinking of something). I am willing to roll up a tier 1 to play against/with you (I might do that anyway, just so everybody's comfortable [see 3]).

Alternate question: What's your goal? When you consider that our main plot hook is a library of universal knowledge set up by a long-dead tier 1 whose AI is essentially capable of granting wishes via technological means, what's your civ going to do if they already have that knowledge, or at least a great part of it?
2. Tier 1's are something like the Ancients from the Stargate-verse, or the Forerunners from the Halo-verse, or the Kobollians from the Battlestar Galactica-verse. One way to play them is mythical. If you do that, you'd have to look into the other civilizations and make sure that, somehow, you'd be able to fit into their mythology. Being a tier 1, you'd have been noticed, and that sense of being around for a while is going to come from other players as much as it is yourself. Hmm - that's not a question, that's just a comment. Oh, well.
3. One of the biggest concerns (this is, in fact, what blew up the RP last time) is OP-ness. If you've got the ability to destroy planets, what's to stop you from pulling it out to win every war at the last second? Now, you've stated your peaceful intentions, but I'd still like to see some thought put into not being OP beyond just being peaceful (after all, what's to stop you from changing your mind)?

Answer those satisfactorily, and you can make a tier 1.

If you other players have got issues with what I've said, PM me.
Note that I am moving today, And Likely Won't Rdspond UNtil Tomorrow. Also, My Phone Is Now Capitalizing Everything, Apparently.
The Kerbals won't even notice. Or they will and won't care. It's fun AND easy roleplaying such a simple race. No real delimmaes are ever encountered! Of course, their odds of surviving are pretty low.
