The Ashen clans hunted, picked their fruits, fished and built more and more advanced den clusters to house their increasing numbers. Others were investigating what could be removed from a body before killing it, others created patterns, nets, pouches and belts to hold food or catch it for the other clans in return for a small part of the spoils from them, the Pure Tongue clan focused on a way to unite the clans into one larger pack. Two of the more influential hounds argued about the terms of how such would be done.

“This is heresy! The other clans would never agree upon standing together if we demand that we lead and that every clan sends us half of their food storage when everyone has eaten per day! Have you all lost your minds!?” Reignolf barked out in fury, halfway to lashing out at the other hound.

Hesbjorn shook his head slowly at the anger. “They will agree to our terms, or taste the claws of ou-...” Everything fell into silence as darkness fell over the rainforest. The hounds looked up at the sky and through the thick foliage above saw the sun fade into complete darkness.

The Pure Tongue clan called to a meeting and unanimously agreed that now was the time to call the clans together, the Ancestors had given the sign.

Their high pitched howls echoed throughout the rainforest, catching the attention of the other clans whom were just as busy arguing about what this was a sign of, all from the Ancestors being displeased, to a sign of a good coming harvest, war or a warning of future events.

(Hours later)

The Alphas of each clan met in a circle at the center of the den cluster, staring each other down. The Pure Tongue Alpha stepped forward and spoke.

“With the glowing eye in the sky darkening, the Pure Tongue has decided that now is the time for us to put our differences as clans aside and join together as one united pack. We would live on as we do now, but follow under one Alpha, the other Alphas acting as their voice within their clan, but now being known as Betas. The leading Alpha would have the last word in all things.”

He took a pause and looked upon the other Alphas standing around him, some nodding in approval while others looked disgusted by the idea.

“To settle the leader of the pack, there is only one way that would follow our laws… A fight to the death, the last Alpha standing leads the pack. Before the fight for leadership, each Alpha shall pick out someone that will lead their clan would they fall.”

The Alphas looked at each other and after a long argument over the terms, it was agreed upon.

After a long and bloody battle between the Alpha’s only the Howling Hounds Alpha was still standing, his fur soaked in blood and an open wound over his chest, which the Broken Fang hounds quickly ran over to inspect and clean out from fragments of the guilty one’s claws, while the others dragged the dead ones to the side, burying them with a seed from the massive trees that were native in the region, their spirits would live on in the tree.

The Howling Hound Alpha howled to honor the fallen ones, the surrounding hounds joined in and in the distance the clans could be heard as they united, all of the clans for the first time united as one.
I have had some troubles with finding time to write the post to the quality I want it, so I will get on it tomorrow or Saturday. Apologies for the delay, life has been quite hectic this week.

This is just a thought, but you both could try makeing colonies, or something similar, that break away from the main group and start doing their own thing. This way you can keep going, but still be able to work on the interaction if the other person deicides to come back.

---

I'm good for a restart or to or for us to keep going. So long as this RP is still a thing.

Well, I am no longer waiting for that as the Soruli are no longer a part of the RP. I am currently awaiting the greenlight from Mihndar for what I intend to do to make up for the time lost and to continue the Ashen's story. I have a plan. And it's gonna be good. :3
Will take quite some time for me to post something, considering I have to write about 6 A4 pages of stuff worth what happened instead of meeting the Soruli, and then also work on the eclipse and... I have my paws full for some time ahead, needless to say.
No restart. I'd rather figure out a way to get around my interactions with the Soruli and create a new storyline for what was done. I think I already have a plan made up for it, actually. Shame losing the tech that the Soruli would have provided though.

Before you update the map, let me send you an update on what my plan is and if you find it acceptable. <3

Based upon that, the questions that come to mind are:
- What should be done if the players were doing inter-species communication?
- What should be the plan for if the players come back?
- Should the eclipse that happens to be happening relate to it for an IC event?

I would also like to know this, as I am currently in communication with one of those that would then be removed and the hounds are learning from them.

I don't think so, we haven't progressed too far. And you can always catch up by posting more.

Lauder, you're accepted. And yeah, more than one person can be on the island. To be fair, most of the mainland races aren't posting very often or at all anymore, so you might as well be on an island.

Well, I'm stuck waiting for others to post, and I don't want to rip away from that interaction because it is kind of key to my development.
Role Call!

Raindeer, reporting for duty.
Been working on my next post. Decided to do math and see how population of Alvith will grow over time. Going to just be doing a percentage increase in population moving forward. Has been a 13% increase each time based on amount of male/female Alvith pairs then having half that produce offspring. I am going to stop but had so far been keeping track of male and female numbers along with adults and children. Anyway just did math and populations growth increases drastically at around 1,000 Pop mark.

Will be interesting to see what race reaches 1,000 first as potentially will have largest population on planet. So many contenders around same population. Will be exciting to see who it ends up being.

Will most probably not be the Ashen. A rough future awaits.

The idea of using AI to replace human labor is already happening. It's quite crazy and amazing. A good video about it is here: youtube.com/watch?v=7Pq-S557XQU . For my own developments, I am mostly working on the angle of teaching AI science, knowledge, language, and social skills. This includes the scientific method so it may learn rather than be instructed alone. I chose this in part because through it, AI can understand and communicate about the world. It also is a friendlier direction because knowledge is inherently a cooperative effort. If the AI eventually gets as powerful as commonly feared, it would want to work with us. I doubt greatly that will happen like it is portrayed, though. For the demo, it will probably be more on the language aspect.

I'll try. BZZZZT. Did it work?

I'm still here and waiting. Just can't post right now as I await others.
