@Transience: Sweet! Should I post in the character tab?
@Corvidae: Eh... I don't know how to feel about that. Could we see, critique, and change them before they get approved? I think if everyone has a say, it'll be fine. Plus, we can approach worldbuilding with more tact and make more creatures that avoid textbook clichés. It'd be nice if they aren't sloppily ripped from mythology either.
@Keyguyperson: Not to ruin the parade, but isn't conflict's purpose in literature to give direction for the plot and to cause or show character development?

Back for today, for a little while. Based on the comments I've seen so far, I've decided to flesh out the role and nature of the Godeater. You'll now see it much sooner, but it will be introduced more gradually. What it is, what it does, and why it does so, are questions you will have to answer for yourselves.

Hint: It may or may not actually eat gods. I just thought the name sounded cool.

The secret's out, gods are crunchy and good with rice.

Also when the character sheet comes would we have to post a pic of what the realms would look like once they become more in tuned with said god?

I would backpedal a little here and say that that sort of action is unnecessary You can't really know what it'll look like before the roleplay because when the roleplay starts, it'll be a blank slate that the character shapes by their actions. Its development depends on the character, what they do, and what they need to do (as per the plot's demands). It depends on what happens after the roleplay starts, basically.

As for pictures, I wouldn't rule out picture references for appearance, but having to painstakingly hunt for pictures for extra things like weapons and realms and such isn't something I really want to or like to do.
@Transience: I finished my character! Hope you like him.

Edit: Also, I fixed a mistake. He should be from the West, not the South.
Alright, I'm done.

I'll post my CS when I get home and finish it.
@Transience: Sweet!

Then the great adventurer, the uniter of nations, who tempered his magical powers in his journey throughout Ansus to restore order, is born. I'll go ahead and trust that you know how to limit us such that we do not overstep our bounds.

When these legends revive, will they be weakened, or will they have the same level of power they achieved before they died?
I'm a little concerned that things could get a little too chaotic. And by that I mean, I like the idea, but I'm thrown by the possibility of too many people trying to be the villain and a lot of people doing too many different things all at once (so much so that it becomes confusing). I don't want this to get too random and illogical. Too much chaos is a little bit of a turnoff if there's not some control or a degree of normalcy or an overarching conflict to keep the characters in check.
@Transience: Are there any limitations to what characters are capable of? Like, powers, strengths, weaknesses?

Furthermore, would I be allowed to make a bard-like adventurer character, who has more power in wit than in ability but can learn how to do a variety of things and who came from a time when, under the god of wisdom that he devoted himself to, he united a variety of kingdoms into an empire? Or would that be too farfetched and overpowered of him?
