@hatakekuro I always assumed that the guild has at least a dozen generic wizards hanging around at all times like Fairy Tail did.

At the very least, there are around two dozen abandoned characters that are members of Phoenix Wing.

I'm curious, how big is Phoenix Wing? Is it a big guild, but our characters are the prominent members while there are background characters?

NOLAN

He sat around, looking with a bored gaze around the guild hall. Ever since the Grand Magic Games, he has not battled anyone nor did his latest jobs involved combat. His body had been too damaged for proper combat ever since battling Frye and the intense battles with Frenzy Plant. At this rate even with his training, his sense for combat was going to become dull if he kept sitting around like this. Besides, he wanted a guinea pig to test what he had been working on and there was a certain one he had in mind.

"Yo, Damian." Nolan approached Damian with the usual lack of enthusiasm that Nolan always had. Still, it is quite unusual for Nolan to actually approach Damian since the slayer typically wanted to have nothing to do with him. "I need a sparring partner and you're the only one that fits the bill." Well, he was not trying to butter Damian up or anything. Damian is one of the strongest members of the guild after all so it gives Nolan a way to measure his abilities.

Actually, speaking of Nolan, I had a fun idea, though I'm not sure how inline with Nolan's character it is. Perhaps he could approach Damian, or-scratch that, James is about to leave on a job so Damian, about sparring so he can test how his training is paying off. That way he could avoid having to deal with Joshua, who he doesn't like.
