Yusuke ignored Noru, his eyes shifting away shamelessly. There was nothing to be said. No excuse he could have offered to anyone for his outburst. Everyone now knew just how petty he could be and if they didn't, then they had gotten hint of it at least.

He sighed when a piece of paper sailed into his lap, bouncing around until he froze it midair beneath the cover of his desk. It unraveled by itself, until he could plainly read, Diana's writing. He smirked instantly and fixed his gaze onto the back of her head. She was a lot kinder than she let off.

Yusuke would have wrote back but Beyond the Barrier was far more convenient.

He sent a hand of air towards her, ducking and weaving between the heads of the students. Potentially ruffling hair but nothing more. The moment it met, Diana, the hand fell atop of her head and became warm with his gratitude. If she had decided to look his way, she would find his eyes lingering on her for a second; a pleasant smirk on his face. Two seconds later and he would be facing the front again, as if nothing had transpired.

Yusuke stood up from his desk, an obvious and blunt challenge to the teacher's request. "You told us we could use our quirks, Mr. Winchester, then you condemn us for doing so... and reward the one person who could care less. Karen didn't use her quirk because it would have done nothing to enhance her results yet you're treating her like some shining example," he said rather calmly.

I'll thank, Diana later for calming me down. He dipped his head over to Karen, eying her as if she was a difficult problem.

"Meanwhile, she's deliberately disrespecting you. I guess my question is; why tell us we could use our quirks only to throw it back in our faces? "

Yusuke, not necessarily on purpose, released a wave of agitation outwards. That pinch touched every individual in the room; pricked needles into their skin. At the same time, Yusuke's fist had balled in his pockets and a scowl laid furiously on his princely face.

Tsk! came loudly from between his lips; he turned his gaze to the wall and near indignantly pulled it all inwards.

Yusuke stared hard while rubbing the back of his neck, hiding his embarrassment, but most of all hiding his anger and disappointment.

"Sorry," he apologized, far-too low and far too deep.
Unpolished concept of my character. But I'm interested in joining. I know how your Rps work and I'm a fan of them. Just as I was posting this I started reconsidering his power. Might change it.

"I'll stay behind..." he groaned, letting himself gently down from Kiba's back. "Someone has to protect them. I-" A rake of pain assailed his shoulder and chest. He held it hard before sitting by the tree, where Gilt was quick to join him--Wanyamon in his arms. "I-I can at the least provide, Gilt with enough energy to Digivolve should something happen."

Gilt eyes were glistening though they maintained a certain level of coolness. "Finally, now I can apolo-"

Phase held his hand up and effectively silence the Digimon. "Later, Gilt. We'll discuss this later."

The blue-haired boy looked like he was recovering swell, though it was the bruises and throbs that ached him now. "Kiba, Kid," he fixed his eyes on someone...new? His tone shifted to one of plain curiosity."Who the hell is she?"

Taeto had been focusing far too hard on standing, so hard in fact that after Bolt had ignored him, Taeto simply went to measuring his breathing and taking it one step at a time. He numbered each breath and with those numbers came a single step forward. Damn, he cursed, albeit while wearing a smile. Bastard really did a number on me. Can't believe, Carrot Top left me here.

A moment of hindsight ceased his complaints.

Well I guess I deserve it. Mom's not gonna be happy about this.

The low mechanized hum of a Budd Bot snatched his attention from walking. He looked up at the red visor of the machine-man. I feel like those are the things, Mom told me to avoid. Fuuuck! His knees buckled then and he fell to his bottom with a thud. He was screwed, so screwed.

Then Bolt showed up. Taeto grinned at his sharp-tongued warning. "Strong and chivalrous. Yea, you're definitely the hero-type."

The two sailed over the fence and Taeto tightened his hold on Bolt's neck. "Hope we don't make the news." he mumbled once they landed. "If you head towards the school, make a right, then keep straight for two blocks. My house is there; we can lay low for a bit."
@Holy Soldier I'm not waiting on anyone except maybe @Sarcelle Renard. I think he may be waiting for another GM post. In that sense, so am I.
@Crimson Lion You can go ahead to the base. I'll have wake up soon. He's already starting to wake.

Yusuke was basking very quietly in her lighter emotions. That rather negative air that had been blowing from her was casually, naturally turning kind, if not brighter. He liked that. It was one of the reasons he stayed so involved in his image and job. He enjoyed brining peace and respite to people.

Then the bell rung shrill and loud; hurting his ears and breaking not only his concentration but hers as well.

Yusuke frowned. Not at the loud sound but at Diana's inner reaction.

Another clue, he thought. This conditioning runs deep. Its rooted in her and its not letting go.

Then her hand touched his shoulder; Yusuke fought the intense urge to shoo her hand away. It was so ingrained in him that it took everything not to make a move. She spoke words that he had forgotten in the ensuing confusion. For a slight second he felt like he had ceased to exist. There was no light, no sense of feel, no smells or tastes. Where had he gone? then the next moment he had been assailed by everything.

Light suffused between the classroom and hallway, the sterilized smell of the class room, Diana's soft scent and touch. Yusuke looked over his shoulders in clear panic, his gray eyes clear and wide but colored with a gentle curiosity as well. But all his questions were hushed by her thankful stare.

His heart faltered, it thrummed loud in his chest once, twice, thrice more.

Yusuke had been wrong. He believed Diana's smile to be pretty but compared to this look, this grateful stare, it was normal at best. He averted his gaze, threw away his accusations and made his way to his chair as well. He sat down and pretended to touch his chest; in reality he was trying his darnest to calm his heart. Putting emphasis on his psionic touch to massage it.

Damn, they really will be the death of me.

There it was.

Finally, though it was ugly on her otherwise pale and beautiful skin, the scars had told a ambiguous but horrific story. From what he could gather, Diana's father was a stern, imposing, bastard. To think he could, would, put her through something like that was hardly grasped.

He had seen similiar cases on duty. Touched the palpable fear of homicide victims. Seeing their last expressions through the eyes of the killer. Yusuke's hard stare fell very slowly to the table. A moment later and Diana was lowering her shirt once more, covering up her supple underboobs and flat stomach. Despite his sympathetic rage, he could hardly hide the red that now tinged his face.

Yusuke listened intently. Smiling when he felt her awkwardness lean too far to the left or right, but most of all when her emotions betrayed her indifference. She had enjoyed his compliment and in turn, had sent one back at him. He didn't often get asked that question, didn't enjoy answering it either, but he liked, Diana.

He tugged at the surgical mask over his mouth and pulled it down to his neck. His full lips were closed but smoothened into a kind smile. "My quirk Beyond the Barrier has taken my physicality in exchange for my gifts. Basically I get sick really easily and despite my psionic skin, I still need an extra layer of protection from viruses and germs."

Yusuke shrugged his shoulders before veiling his mouth with the mask again. "Sucks but it can't be helped. I need it to survive." He looked at her then with careful eyes and a long thoughtful pause. "You've been through a lot, Diana. I hope you can find the strength to get pass it one day. I really do."

Yusuke had taken her words and placed an important period on each of them. They filled in the small gaps of what he was feeling, of what his psionic Quirk was feeding him. Naturally he was capable of picking up on the emotions of others but very rarely had the emotions sought him out and prodded for his attention.

There was sliver of white in those dark feelings that flowed from her...but it died away far too quickly. Replaced by an oppressive fear, a eternal foreboding of sorts. Yusuke showed this discomfort with a light scowl then a guilty aversion of his gaze. He sighed, rubbed his neck then decided to repay his intrusion by letting her into his own vault.

"Loneliness isn't a bad thing, Diana. Its essential to us, it helps us understand what we're missing, what we crave. When our smiles fade and we wish for them to stay just a bit longer...our loneliness gives way to sadness, hinting at those important things we're missing. What we should reach for."

He exhaled a shuddering breath, fear and kindness treading lightly on his words. "Its better said than done, I know. As for why I'm here, well, Diana, I suppose I enjoy being alone too. If only for a second. This place is sanctuary for me, keeps all the noise of the world away." His hands found their place in his pockets, where they hid his shivering; the only sign of his disdain for the current topic. For his vulnerability. "By the way, Diana, your smile is pretty. Its odd on you but its a mystical thing. Like magic or rocket science," he chuckled.
