Ah, I see the bots are back again with their nonsense posting.

Got my new sci-fi mecha RP up. Put a lot of work into the background of this one, and wrote out a whole setting

Cambozola is definitely A-Tier. It combines all the best parts of Brie with Blue Cheese, what's not to like.

Guess the mecha RP idea wasn't as popular or as interesting as I hoped it might be. Not much in the way of bites on that one so far, sadly

Bio
I've been roleplaying in one form or another since the late '90's. I've played as many tabletop games as I have online ones, and the quality of both has varied wildly. I have an active imagination, and I love immersive, descriptive roleplaying. My genres of choice are sci-fi, and modern-day (with a sci-fi twist). I like RP's that mix reality with fiction, and throw an unusual and exciting twist into an otherwise normal setting - something like Stargate SG-1 would be an example, or Battle: Los Angeles. An almost recognizable world, but with some sci-fi twists. I'm a fan of military and action-based RP's that do this especially, and they are easily my favourite - though I rarely see any that appeal to me enough - all the military RP's are too 'plain', and anything else modern day is usually fantasy or fandom. I have a lot of fandoms, but I don't really like fandom RP's - or at least, the ones that come up. I often find them a bit lacking in ideas, or too far away from what actually makes the thing I'm a fan of enjoyable.
I don't play in free, as I find the short posts and bad spelling and grammar infuriating.
I'm 43 years old, and live in the UK, so I may not be on all the time. I also like playing non-human characters, especially anthro ones. I dig giant robots, and I love military aircraft. I'm also a very dedicated and proud Brony and furry.
IC will probably go up tomorrow sometime, will be working out how I want it to start in my head first.
Also, in case I didn't drop it in the rules, there's no posting order; just have a bit of common sense and don't spam the threads. I try and get a round of IC posts from everyone, before replying with a post of my own, unless there's something that specifically needs clarity or another post
I'm going to drop out of this. Won't be able to finish my character for an unknown amount of days. Best of luck
This gives me a sad D: Welcome to join back in when you have time though.
Okay so quick question while I am writing up my CS. I see we have both Personal and GEARS equipment. It sounds like we are going to be pilots but also an infantry squad? Or are we mainly going ot be in our mechs?
Most in GEARs, but there'll be occasions to get out of a GEAR to carry out the last part of an objective; the concept is that we'll be mostly operating with very little or no support, so will have to sometimes get our hand/hooves/paws dirty to get the mission completed. Plus GEARs operate 'close to the ground' as it were, so good to have your infantry skills up to scratch too. Kind of like modern-day tanks crews also have to have their personal weapons etc.
@Silverwind Blade I'll keep my excitement going. Do some Steel Talon skirmishes in C&C: KW to get into the mindset of badass mechs. Probably even get some good 'heavy weapons guy' quotes to use, though I already know I want to use I've got a present for ya! at some point, ideally accompanied by an explosion.... or several.
I might have to see if I can re-watch Gundam 08th MS Team and the Patlabor movies, as they always put me in the mecha frame of mind, along with Macross Plus!
*wiggles in seat trying to wait patiently.... and failing hard.*
*Pulls out a drone and starts tinkering.*
Once the last couple of characters are up and approved, I'll get started on the IC. Although, I'll get started on Monday if they're not up by then, as I don't want to lose too much momentum/excitement
@Silverwind Bladeah well that’s an upside I guess. I’ll look into the problem when I get home. Hard to participate when I can’t even read the setting notes!
Also, out of curiosity, is that an MLP icon?
Haha, hope you can sort it out, if not, we'll find a way.
And yes; It's a head shot of my OC I cropped out of a picture I drew for a friend of both our pony OC's as a Christmas present a couple of years ago. I can link the full one if you want to see it.
