Name: Vincent Ventri

Age: 30

Race: Drow (dark elf)

Plane of Origin: Razka: A plane of eternal twilight, the darkness of Razka and the many smaller colonies within the plane created many races designed for the darkness. The Drow are a the main sentient life form in Razka, they have formed a culture around flight, something about the darkness of their world drives them to the sky seeking the light. The main antagonistic force that faces the Drow are the Grudli, a race of golem like creatures, they abhor the manipulation of the earth that the Drow have done, they destroy any and all forms of technological advancement that they can reach, however the Blackwings, the air force of the Drow, are skilled at the eradication of the ever present threat.

Backstory: Vincent, an experienced pilot of the Blackwings, a decorated war hero, a forgotten casualty, long before the arrival of the what he calls "The Jumper" he fought as a pilot and soldier, the Grudli however, after many attack and successful runs managed to finally draw his ship from the sky. While stuck within the land of the Grudli, he fought wave after wave barely holding back the monsters, when rescue had arrived, he was no longer the same man, he was discharged from the military, and left to his own devices. the moment he saw the jumpship, he knew he needed to get back to the sky, this one and beyond, it was through his own exploits that convinced them to take the retired pilot on, but likely, they knew they would not regret it.

Notable equipment: His Blackwing pin and flight jacket, a small air powered side arm.

Notes: Has PTSD from his crash.
Color me intrigued.

It was just as he expected, she had a strong form of ranged magic, it was her go to, however, the summoned scimitar was interesting, he had seen a few mages while he traveled with his mentor that used similar magic, no matter that though, he was a trained swordsman, what bothered him was the circle on the ground. "Home field advantage takes on new meaning with mages boy." he recalled the bit of advice from his mentor, he needed the girl out of the circle. Vincent closed in seeing the scimitar form, he chose a risky plan but one he hoped would keep him close and force movement, he began to throw the blades into the ground around her feet, pulling more from the armory, if she wants to fight him from within her circle, she will have to deal with the blades all around her legs.

The energy it takes to pull as many blades as he was was more than he wanted to spend on the first fight, but his desire to win, his will to survive was all consuming in the heat of combat, he summoned one final weapon, a greatsword, a gift left to him from his mentor, the plan was to apply pressure from outside the circle, until either she leaves it, or the blade at her feet cut her enough to drop the spell. Vincent gripped the hilt of his favored greatsword and began the assault.

Monday morning

Final Round Armory, Harbor district

Milo sat at the table in his shop, set in front of him was a Colt nineteen eleven handgun, the gun was striped and he was in the process of cleaning and organizing it before setting into a few modifications. This was the first gun he worked on since getting his full certification, and the requests were piling, the sport shooting scene was getting big in a few places, and he had a few friends in those circles that when the news got out about him being licensed, they started flocking. Milo pulled out his cell phone and clicked a speed dial number before turning on the speaker and setting it down.

"You do realize the time right?" Ana's voice came from the telephone sounding a bit groggy.

"Don't give me that noise night owl, I was up five hours ago and I know it's noon in Delta." Milo said with a laugh.

"Yeah but I work at night, so noon is like six A.M. to me, what exactly are you calling about anyway? Don't tell me, let me guess..." the phone went silent for a moment and Milo quit working and just looked at the phone waiting. "Paige's phone is off isn't it?"

Milo laughed, "She had some very important meeting, told me she would have it off, but no, not why I called." Milo got serious for a moment, "Everything been okay back home?"

Ana paused, "What did you do Milo?" Milo felt the words hit him in the chest, she always can tell when something isn't right and this time, it was no different.

"There have just been some things happening here, not great things, I have been trying to help Paige with her case..." before he could finish she cut him off.

"You aren't a cop Milo, she is, she has authority you don't. Whatever you are doing, stop, let Paige handle it, you will just mess up a good thing." Ana sounded concerned, she knew Milo as well as anyone, his head was not the decision maker most of the time.

"I can't let her do it alone..."

"Milo, if you get in the mix you will only get hurt or in trouble, then she is alone anyway." Ana was always the one to diffuse bad situations, but Milo didn't know if her words would get through this time. "You called to see if things were ok, what happened to make you do that?" the question was loaded, he knew it, but lying to her wasn't going to work.

"I may have burned down a bar that a crime lord liked with homemade thermite grenades."

"... Well, A plus for creativity, but I mean they wouldn't..."

"And then we tortured the owner into ratting on his colleagues then dumped him in a ditch." Milo finished and sat in silence for a substantial time, "You... Still there Ana?"

"Be careful Milo, you two are getting into something bad out there, I don't want the next time I see you guys to be at your funerals."

Milo hung his head a little, he had worried about the same issues himself, "Don't worry, I will do whatever I can to make things work here."

The two chit chatted over smaller topics for a bit longer, catching up over the recent events, however the feeling of dread didn't leave, Milo knew he was in the deep end of things, but despite Ana's warning, despite his own better judgement, he wouldn't stand idly by as Paige deals with it all.

Monday afternoon

Frying Nemo's

Milo took a short break to get out and try to get some food, and the only thing he felt like was fish, there was a dozen good places, but Nemo's seemed to be his preferred choice at this point. Milo pulled his truck into the parking lot and stepped out, he had a lot of work to do but he had time to spend anyway, as he entered the restaurant and sat at a table, he looked out the window, this town was feeling less alien day by day, never was fun uprooting, you never really feel settled in.

The food soon came to the table, it was piping hot and fresh out of the fryer, so her let it cool a bit and sipped on a cup of coffee, as he took this moments reprieve from his day to day business life. He looked at his phone a few times, no new messages, hopefully everything was going well with Paige, maybe she got what she wanted and was just rushing off to stop them, Milo sighed and sat back, that would be the smart thing, leave him behind and do it alone, it wasn't like he really could do anything, just get in the way or get himself in trouble. Milo wanted to be more helpful in all of this mess, he was the reason she even got involved after all.

@Pilatus
I think Vincent vs Rav would be cool, they have very similar powers but they function very differently.

Vincent had hoped for a larger crowd, something to really spur the enthusiasm, though he had heard the princess was fighting this year and the buzz was likely there. The opponent that stood before him was a young woman, oddly dressed for a fight, though this was where mages gathered and not all mages fought the same. Vincent took a small bow as the fight began.

"I wish you the best of luck, fight with honor." Vincent leaned forward and set himself into a lighter stance, he prepared to dodge long range attacks, many of the mages that he had met had all used some form of projectile magic, be it throwing a fireball, or hurling lighting, the best plan was to not be hit, and to be fast as he closed the gap.

His body tensed as he felt the magic pulse through him, a sensation he had long since begun to understand, he called to mind his training, all the months spent alongside his mentor, as his foot pressed into the ground, it was as if he broke through a pane of glass, the magic scattered over his body, revealing the shift from his normal street clothes, to a suit of darkened leather armor and in each of his hands was a short blade, just longer than a dagger. If Vincent could manage to close the distance between them, a quick finish was ideal, but just being within melee was better than the opponent holding him at range.

Race:

Human

Magic/Abilities:

Living Armory - Vincent has learned a special form of magic that allows him to store items and equipment in a pocket dimension, he is able to call upon this vast armory and equip himself as he needs.

Bladeworks - Vincent can summon duplicates of any weapon he has stored in his pocket dimension, these duplicates are destroyed upon returning to the pocket dimension.

Guardian - Vincent is taught by time and struggle to be a fighter, however rudimentary his skills, he shows great promise, and with the addition of his armory he stands to be quite formidable as a knight mage.

Personality:

Vincent is idealistic and brash, he wants the world to be the rose colored sights he sees in his dreams and fights anyone and anything to make that a reality. His early life though proved to be much more taxing however for someone wishing to see a beautiful world, he watched too many people be brought down to the depths of their own humanity and poison the very world they had sought to create, this leads him to protect those he feels to be just and good with his life, in the hopes that saving them now will bring a better day tomorrow.

Background:

A child left homeless in a vast city would be a tragedy to many of the adults and leaders, however for Vincent, it was just another day, he grew up on the street as many did, he worked as an apprentice for many professions but many of them would pay him only just enough or worse, not at all, however even still he never broke stride, he took it all with strength and dignity. As he grew older he started to have odd occurances, objects he was holding would be gone the next moment, he didn't realize it at the time but he had just begun to see the beginnings of his magic.

One day as he was working in the blacksmiths shop, the older smith being one of few that treated him alright, he was given a special task, he was asked to make a delivery, a nobleman had ordered a fine belt knife to be made for his son and Vincent was to deliver it. Eager to be of help Vincent took the knife and began to make his way deeper into Zauberheim to deliver the blade, however, about halfway to his destination, he felt a returning sensation, the same one he felt before other objects would vanish, and just as he lifted the knife he watched as it faded into thin air. The panic set in as he rushed back to the smith, he had tears in his eyes as he tried to explain the event to the older man, the old smith merely shook his head and sent Vincent away.

Vincent soon learned that his magic had been the reason for the occurances and soon began to practice, both in the general practice of magic as well as his own personal magic that he soon started to call Living Armory, though fights in the streets and some small stints with mercenary bands taught him how to fight, his style became all his own and now he was coming home to Zauberheim, where he intended to enroll in the Seraph Academy and become a true Mage Knight so that he could be the one to protect the people of his home, and create a city that is worth living in.

Milo watched as Paige got a bit more from Titus, the information wasn't really anything good that would make his plan come around, but, this really was more about the message, that Nikki, as violent as he is, he isn't untouchable. Milo could see that Paige was on the edge of just blowing his head off, but just as the tension was peaking, someone messaged her with something important enough to make her stop, she turned and came up to him grasping his collar and pulling him into a kiss, a bit out of nowhere, but not unwelcome, as made clear by his hand squeezing her hip until she pulled away and left. Milo stood there a moment before looking back to Titus.

"Titus, I really want you to know that none of this..." he gestured to the leg and all the blood, "... None of it was personal. I just need your boss to know that he fucked up pretty bad going after her." Milo walked back to his table and rustled around a bit amid the pleas and begging of the tied up man, he came back with a brass knuckle and knocked him out, "You will just have to let him know won't you?"

Milo sat in the driver seat of his truck, he wondered if it was a good idea to poke at Nikki, surely the attack in Paige's apartment wasn't going to be the last, likely they were still on a hit list, hopefully Paige would be okay, she had the Marshals behind her, he however was a bit more alone, the extra surveillance they had set on him had already dissipated and he was alone. Milo pulled off the side of the road and got out, it was an old country road, not many motorist so he had a minute, he put on a pair of gloves and opened the truck bed, inside was Titus, "Alright pal, odds are this isn't your first rodeo, you know how this goes, I am gonna leave you here and call you an ambulance, you aren't gonna say shit about what happened other than a hit and run, and then you let Nikki know what I said." Milo pulled the man into the ditch and pulled out Titus's phone, he looked at Titus expectantly until the man nodded, Milo grinned and dialed the police, then tossed the phone in the ditch, before pulling away.

Milo drove through downtown on his way back home and just let the silence calm him, as he pulled into shop he got out and set to cleaning the shop, blood isn't anything he hasn't had to clean before so he just got out the bleach and started working, he eventually got to the bullet hole in the floor, it cracked the concrete a little bit, nothing bad, he would patch that in the morning. Once Milo was done, he got in the shower and got cleaned up, he wondered whether Paige would come back after whatever she had pop up was taken care of, either way, Milo locked up and laid in bed.

Milo was panting a bit at this point, the man in front of him now bleeding all around the head, Milo took another heavy blow to the mans stomach, "Just tell me something useful, a name, a location, something to make me think you like your teeth." Milo wiped the back of his hand on Titus's shirt. Titus spat some blood to the ground and looked at the both of them, "What? You think any of this is worse than what Nikki'll give me if I talk, you can take your switch ass back to florida and fuck yourself." Milo was almost laughing at the comment, he walked over to his tools and looked them over before shaking his head, he grabbed a table vise he had pulled from his table, "Alright, I hate to do this.... I'm kidding, I don't actually care." Milo set the vise around the mans thigh and started to tighten. Titus began panicking as the vise tightened, he shouted obscenities as Milo assured him that soundproofing is important for a metalworks.

SNAP! the crack was sickening but only half as bad as the man yelling, "Alright, now can we get to the point?" Milo took off the vise and as Titus took a breath he started to talk,"Ok. I know ab..." Milo drove a fist down on the newly broken femur and was met with more howls of pain, "oh, you were gonna actually say something? I thought you were gonna make another bigfoot joke." Milo grinned as the man tried to compose himself through the pain, "You... You dick. I hook Nikki up with a few things, I'm not his buddy or anything, but if you want to piss him off, fine." Milo grinned finally getting somewhere with this he stood back and listened to all the broken bird could sing.
