Milo Ventri

Milo heard the ringing of his phone as he sat at his worktable, gun parts and tools spread all around him, he pulled the phone up and answered it without looking.

"Milo speaking." he said gruffly mid thought as he tried to connect a couple of pieces and set them back to working order. however the voice on the other end pulled him out of the thought, Paige was the one that called, she finally got out and sounded like she had learned something good from the way she hesitated in her speech. "Well, miss walking tall, that suburban just not gonna cut it today?" Milo smirked even though she couldn't see him, "Don't worry I'll be there in a few. Your mom sends you the good stuff, I think some time can be killed with that." Milo hung up and set down the gun he was working on and grabbed his coat, he had already put the chains in the truck and swapped the tires, and set some bags of concrete in the bed, he never got stuck once mudding in Delta, he wouldn't get stuck here. as he got out to his truck and started it up the mess of a storm had only gotten worse, it wouldn't be long before even he would have a hard time.

Milo looked down at his phone as the reply came across the screen, what was it that she was trying? he hated that all of a sudden she tries to talk to him like they are friends, he had tried to open up to her and she used it to wound him, but she wants to call him a good egg, that a woman would be lucky to have him. Milo held onto the phone tightly, trying to not let his anger get the best of him and push him to say something he would regret, though at the same time, he knew that somewhere deep down, past the anger of what happened, he was still glad to hear from her. He wondered if he should even respond this time, whether it was worth while or not, but soon he did type out one more message.

Honestly Vika, the lucky one was supposed to be you.

Either way, the cane is yours, I have no use for it and the design is too specific to go to anyone else, you may not need it anymore but I still want you to have it. Just tell me when and where and I can bring it out to you.

Milo could feel more words in the back of his throat, but he knew that the more he said, the worse he would feel, he was trying to build something with Paige, and every time Vika messages him he stops and remembers when they had been together, he wonders if he had been too hasty perhaps. Milo sat back in his chair and pulled the sword from the cane, the pattern weld on the blade, mimicked the snowflake motif on the cane, he had been proud of it, though the presentation was going to be bittersweet he felt.

Milo set up another text to Paige, messaging just seemed to be the thing now, that it always seemed that Paige had her phone of at work anyway.

Hey, are you done for the day or are you still working? Blizzard rolling in, looks like a day drinking sort of day to me.

Milo sent the message and pulled out a bottle of cola, figured he would want to wait til he knew if he had to go get her or not before he got out the good stuff.

Milo felt the buzzing of his phone, he let it go for a minute as he sat on the front stoop of the shop, cigar in hand, watching the storm worsen. Paige hadn't called and was presumably still at city hall. Milo flicked the butt of the cigar out into the snow and went back inside where he pulled out his phone and looked at the message, it was Vika, he looked at it confused, they hadnt spoke since she had left. Milo read through the message, he couldn't help but remember when they had first met, a slightly intoxicated, yet very spunky woman with a striking visage, however when he opened the picture she sent the girl in it was barely recognizable, Milo sighed, one of the things he had learned was that trying to be who you used to be doesn't make you as good as just growing on.

"Glad you're happy, I know you were self conscious of the cane, though I will say, I still think you were prettier before. As for the project I had been working on..."

Milo pulled the blade out, he had still finished it even though he didn't really know what to do with it. It was a sword cane, royal blue with a snowflake design up to the handle. He took a picture and attached it.

"... It was just something I had made for someone, someone not around anymore."

Milo sent the message, part of him still felt bad for how things between them went, he swore he saw something, but he needed someone to get him back I to the swing of things, someone to show him life moved on that hanging on to what you were was not the way to go.

Milo chuckled as the girl walked over seemingly embarrassed, it was pleasant to see someone who just wanted to express a love of art more so than beat the corporate cow for all that it is worth. As she approached he got a better look at her as he recast his line, after all, he was fishing for dinner, she honestly reminded him of Vika, though a bit more fit, he wondered to himself what Vika was up to lately they hadn't really spoke since they parted ways, hopefully she wasn't too sore about it all.

"Don't you worry none, I'm a hair jumpy these days." Milo said as he watched the girl tear out the page in her sketchbook.

The sketch was quite well done, she clearly had some talent, though he wondered if he really had looked so sad as she seemed to have him drawn, it wasn't the way he wanted to be, he wanted to relax and let away all of that sadness and the anger that he had been getting into. When she told him to keep the picture he immediately handed the sketch back to the girl and shook his head.

"Mmmm, nope, sorry, if you are proud of this then the best place for it to be is with you, if I took it inside the poor thing would be in flames before the days end." and he pointed up to the shop that was up on the street behind him. "Though I am glad you got my good side." he said with a smile.

Just as he handed the picture back to the girl, he felt a buzzing in his pocket, it was his cell phone, he pulled it out and answered.

"Hello, Mil...." He barely got the semblance of his name out before the word soup began to pour from the other end of the line. Siobhan was the culprit this time, but at least it was a friendly call just someone one wanting to hang out, at this point he wouldn't mind a bit of company. "Hey Sio, yeah I was out at the park, Paige and I are going to hit the range later this afternoon but I was about to make some food if you want to come by the shop." Milo finished the conversation and hung up. He looked to the girl that had been drawing him.

"My names Milo, Milo Ventri, I run the Final Round Armory up there, A friend of mine is swinging by for lunch if you want to come in as well, I usually make far too much anyway." and he grabbed the bucket that had several fish in it and smiled.

Vincent Carlisle

Vincent, now aware that the guardian circle will knock him back if he attempts to strike her, had to plan around it. The first major boon was that his opponent thinks that she can wield his blade for as long as she wants, however getting her out of the circle had to be the priority. Vincent knew that the circle stopped him from dealing a massive blow but perhaps if he could get her into a position he could force her to yield. He gripped the dual blades tighter and rushed toward his foe, as he approached he began to activate his magic and just as he reaches the circle and thrusts his blades to entrap the girls throat, he lets all but the blades he holds fall back to the armory, all of them vanishing from the field, if he is lucky, the field protects from large impacts, not the slight movements of a edge along the neckline, and if he were luckier still, the fear of it would give him the match.
thanks I'll keep that in mind
Sorry chief if this is gonna be at this pace I'm gonna have to bounce, can't keep up with these guys best wishes bub.
Vincent Ventri

Vincent stood facing the very odd quartermaster, the first interactions the two had had were, less than pleasant, however the two had reconciled the differences once the idea of interplanar travel sunk in, the idea of so many other kinds of people in the multiverse was confounding but the promise of flying under the light of new stars was too enticing. Vincent stepped forward and gave a small salute, two fingers cross body pressed to the shoulder and a slight bow.

"Would be a pleasure."

Vincent had not spent a lot of time around the others as of yet, most of his time was spent undergoing the needed training that was required to pilot the stone-turner and its shuttles, the controls were entirely new and not very intuitive compared to the Blackwing fighters, he had contemplated talking with the captain about trying to accuire one the next time they flew through Razka, though it would behoove him to just learn to fly the ships they have, likely they were made that way for a reason.
