Paige Kennedy

Paige made steady strides down the hallway and her mind was racing nearly as fast as her feet were carrying her. The whole SCPD office was buzzing with phones ringing and boisterous conversations. She knew the regular beat cops were getting ready to have one hell of a few days. She’d overheard a conversation about not having enough snow-chains for all the cruisers on duty and an ambulance stuck somewhere on the Westside. They were calling in everyone. Catching a glimpse of the outside from a passing window she knew she was already in deep shit. Driving in, the roads weren’t necessarily bad per se, though definitely not good either. She knew it would be worse when she left, but the view outside was almost bleach white and coming down in blankets nearly filling the tracks in the parking lot. Fuck. Sure, she’d passed all the aggressive driving courses and recertified every year, however there wasn’t really any way to simulate a snowstorm at the Marshal Headquarters in south Georgia.

Walking a little further she looked at her phone as the reception came back when she got closer to the front lobby near the visitation area. She was sure Milo was wondering why she hadn’t called and felt her back pocket vibrate with a text. Now she was wondering if that redneck truck of his would be able to make it to pick her up or if she would have to just go for it. With the new information she extracted from CT, the thought of spending the night in City Hall on a bench or cot was even less appealing. If they were going to be stuck inside, they could at least start plotting out what they were going to do. However, the thought that followed stopped her in her tracks as she held the phone in front of her and started to call Milo off the link in his message. Ever since she’d been back on her feet and the Giancana case was in full swing, it seemed like their relationship, if that was what it could be called, had taken a back seat. They’d been out a few times and it was fun. She was loosening up, even getting past her own reservations about Ana and with Sio’s help, living a little again.

So badly, she wanted to be the one that took down that brood of Detroit thugs and she was closer than ever. Many had tried before her. It would be the stuff of Marshal legend if she could pull it off. Her heart beat little harder though, torn between telling him what she’d found out or admitting that she just missed him. As officers and city-staff passed by her busily, she stared at the screen for a moment before she hit the call button, putting the phone to her ear and glancing around as the line rang.

“Hey,” She said as he picked up. The image of him sitting there smoking a cigar was the first thing that came to mind and she smirked a little thinking about the metallic scent of his workshop. “Sorry, I just got out…” She hesitated briefly, something she knew he would pick up on immediately. “...I’ve got some stuff to tell you.” She continued having to talk louder over the noise. “I think I’m gonna try and make it back to the house. Do you think you could come up and follow me?” She stood up on her toes and glanced outside looking for where her big Suburban was waiting. She’d stolen the parking spot for the Clerk of the Court up front and there was a hefty layer of snow over the windshield. “Maybe we can open that bottle of Wray that my mom sent up since it looks like we’ll have some time to kill.” She thought about Xia for a moment. Unfortunately, her new Caribbean friend would miss that bottle if they got started on it.

location: Abandoned Building (Possibly Heaven?) (Thursday; Late Afternoon - Evening)
tag(s): #PuddledAshes (Ash @LostBrotherGrimm + Ashton @Silver Fox)
mention(s): Toasty Mc'Toaster Pup III (best boi and everyone knows it)

Tall basketball player? Was there really someone like that that stopped them? The blonde honestly had no clue, but it wasn't like Ash to joke about something so frightening. Now seeing the situation in different context, Capella was grateful for being pulled around like a ragdoll...however there was barely any time to say thanks, as the stranger entered the vicinity, Toasty's barking prompting Capella to hide behind his taller companion, who began a rather interesting bluff to get them out of this.

Capella probably would have laughed if the situation was different, but when he was brought into the bluff, the short teen weariness turned into annoyance as he slapped Ash's back repeatedly with both hands.
"I-Idiot! That's not even a martial art! I hope you didn't say that because I'm Asian, you prick!" Bluff or not, Capella was offended, and continued his assault until a soft whistle caught both his and his dog's attention. Yet another brief bark came from the little pup before he padded slowly to the stranger. Once close enough, Toasty let out another excitable bark, nudging the stranger's long fingers with his head as if he wanted to be petted. Noticing how friendly the pup was being with their possible 'killer', Capella slowly peeked out of his hiding space. "Hey, you sure this guy is trying to mug us or something? I think Toasty likes them." Capella murmured before making himself entirely seen once again.

Reaching into his pocket, Capella pulled out his walking stick, unfolding it before tapping on the ground, moving it to and fro to get a small feel of his surroundings before walking forward, using Toasty's soft whining as an indicator.
"Hey, you're not scary, are you?" He asked as he crouched down, assuming the stranger was in front of him. "Don't mind the idiot back there, if Toasty likes you, then you can't be all that bad...I'm Capella." The blonde smiled wearily once more before holding out a hand to shake.

Marinalia Romus Olympus "Mali"

Luna Sports to Park View . Late afternoon to Lunch

Marinalia was in a fairly good mood as they headed home and the quick talk by the gym, a night it un a quiet bar, with good drinks, the bars in London had a excellent range, Alaska was lacking and the lemoncehllo in Italy was unbeatable. The snow was beginning to fall harder so she did not dawdle, Xia was definitely more open with her reaction some than some people. Definitely would be a fun person to be friends with it seemed, had been pretty fun so far. Maybe she should swim with her more regularly.

yep. With this weather some time in the sun sounds fun though.

Well see you for drinks spicey egg. If there so kind, rude to say no...

Leaving with a smile, she saw her return pretty quikly, hug her and seemed genuinely happy to have somewhere warm to stay, especially with the winter coming. Returning the hug, she still felt a I'm tiny bit awkward but Xia did make her feel more comfortable than other people. Trusting her was easier than others it seemed. It was difficult to trust after every thing but Xia seemed to be... A good, well spicy egg. Her openness was rather... Open. Blushing a fraction, she was not exactly a nun but Xia was a whole new level of open.

Well I try my best. If your a friend, I try to be a good one.

Ummm.. Your welcome.... That's a unique way to put it... Guess your OK if it not clear before nightfall at least.

Smiling and heading off they made it home fairly easily, Marlin made a quick slight of thought to discuss her "holiday with her fiance" and pretended she only just got back. Laughing when the bus had passed she walked quickly as Xia less adapted winter boots would allow. With a alittle help from Marlin on the worst of the ice. Deciding it was better to get inside quickly as possible she kept the outside tour to a bare minimum and fact gates are locked automatically and how to get out when she needs to.

Smiling she joined in her video waving a second mug in corner of video and a English accented comment about the fact they had a full fridge and plenty of snacks. Laughing with Xia it was fun to with friends again.

cheers, and we won,t be going hungry!

Sipping a cup of tea, Xia seemed to enjoy her cousins misfortune and got the idea that he earned that one. The run added kick was definitely noted and helped warm you up even though it had the side effect of making her feel a little more giddy. Spirts always hit her system quickly.

bit forward. You watch Disney this morning?

Laughing, Disney had everything so fast a romncom would blush, kiss a princess, get married Tomorrow and live happily ever after. Life was alot more complicated. That reminded her of a little old thought but she shoved it aside along with the smell of hot tyres, exhaust fumes and vibrations of cars racing by a few metres away. Snapping back to the present Marinalia smiled at the compliment, though she could not claim the home or the decor was her own design.

To me its home, and make yourself at home, its a big place, and needs some life in it. Your... "rum tush" is welcome to stay here warm and comfortable.

A games room? Umm... They had a ballroom, a conservetory at the back and a few store rooms... Bedrooms, and even 3 living rooms, a office and so... Maybe... They had only moved in a few weeks and this house had alot ox cupboards and stuff dating back from when her grand mother or before lived here. Maybe there be games.. The old drawing room might have somthing!

Leading Xia to a smaller room off the side mug in hand. , it had some old style sofas with wood frames and matching coffee tables and cabinets all in a older French style. A rather old liquor cabinet was even stocked... They thought of everything but as she found her uncle had his own tastes and was mostly whiskey. The same emphasis on pale light colours with a set of paintings of England where on the walls. it was a tad old fashioned but quaint.

As she had sat up though her t shirt rode up a tad showing a slightly jagged and rather aggressive across her lower stomach, the darker skin tone was distinct against her pale skin varying slightly around it. Not noticing her t shirt fell down over it as she walked, the flesh was indented a fraction around it. A memory, both her body, and mind would not forget as long as she lived.

we have a ball room downstairs? Anything we have might bee here. They out alot of stuff when they renovated here, we only moved in a few weeks ago and not yet had chance to explore every little corner.

Theres a x box one on my private living room tv though. The main bedrooms are set up as suites. Only two of us so plenty of spare rooms.

Depends what you call games?

Opening a old cabinet, she found some old magazines from the 50's, a partial set of plates, and a few little knick backs someone had piled away when they closed up the house decades ago and intermittent use over the past 30-40 or so years. One made her laugh when she found someone had hid a old compromising novel behine vase, "seductive sirens and the well masted sailors island conquest". The art was equally as subtle. A few board games where hidden away, all rather old and probbly from the 60's, some cards. A poker set that must have been even older and some other miscellaneous stuff like a some love beeds and so from the era. Answering the end question with a slight curiosity, games room was a pretty wide idea from finding a games console or so, or other people it was abit more... EL James then entrainment.

I do not want to know who owned that book!

Old houses always have a few secrets and corners.

Laughing, she pretended to be a mummy wandering out from a corner, the rum definitely hit her quicker than other drinks. But she was happy, and that was somthing that had been lacking at times. Closing one of the shutters that was on the window to keep it warmer as snow had piled up a several inches on the recessed side window. It definitely was getting worse outside and relised Victoria might end up stuck where she had her date, if it went well though that might not be a hardship entirely...

Looking as she did finding a broken games console from the 90's and someone who had hidden a bra... Up to somthing at one of the parties perhaps that had been hosted?

Ummm, what you want to eat, I know we skipped the lunch at gym?

And I Don, t want to sound crazy, but I'm glad you lost power, this place can be a alittle loney, safe and comforting but little loney. Big house, little person. Definitely needs some guests and so like the olden times.

With a slight nervous look admitting that her seeming perfect home had a few downsides too, life was abit strange when not used to being in one place, and freinds? A few back in England had stayed since she was a kid, many others not. Joel at least was... Freindly. He was a good egg, Ren dropped off planet, she would of been happy with him, maybe even fallen for him. There where others she met on the way. If only the sisters could lead a quieter life for once... Marinalia would definitely have to spend some time going over her past month or two, it was a emotional roller coaster.

Quickly shaking out her slightly thoughtful look a second Marinalia found herself quickly back to the present, and gave Xia a quick hug randomly, not wanting to seem. Crazy, though it was pretty obvious she was facing many of the same problems people living in a newish place faced after a while.

curious about anything else?

Do you want to know more?

And getting pretty wild out, you might be a good luck charm.

OK that was a rather bad Geeky joke from stardhip troopers but however much outward Aperence , she still had a alittle nerd inside. "Kylo" Ren had proved that, but chewie? Pilot yes, but a wookie? Gah, he was a good freind, they never did get round to crappy movies and pizza.

A quick check of her phone had told her that the city system reported cell down, power outages and some more intense snow, showing Xia the list while they still seemed less effected for now anyway. A quick flash by of her screen showed her in a photo with a taller man with slightly greying hair, who had matching eyes and a look of been, Thete done that, a woman who was a fraction shorter than her but looked like her near twin with about 20 years between and striking almost gold eyes, completing the group, Victoria when she still had white hair. A photo taken on race day.

Marcus Ainsworth

Club Aether
Thursday - Early Evening

Despite the dreary, almost scary weather that was making life miserable for the citizens of Sol city, Marcus wore a genuinely happy smile. For the first time ever, he had a job that he loved. Although he had only been working at Club Aether for two days before the blizzard hit, he was already loving it, and starting to fit in. On his first day, a girl he had served him drinks many times when he was just a patron, had claimed him as her friend. He learnt her name was Dustynn, and she was incredibly helpful in teaching him the ropes and getting him acquainted with the place and the staff. It felt good to already have a friend there, and it definitely helped in pulling him out of his shell a bit. For the first time in a long time, life was good.

Even when the storm warnings started, Marcus made sure he was at work as soon as possible. His boss, Leo, had kept the club open, to act as a safe haven for people who would otherwise be stuck out in the snow. Marcus was of course happy to help out around the Club however he could. So far, the main job he had been given, was to provide entertainment, playing some chilled out acoustic tunes for the people taking refuge in the bar. He was nervous at first of course, though with a few beers, and once he was a few songs in, he found his stride, treating it more like playing some songs for a few friends than actually performing, which definitely helped his nerves.

As Marcus played, Leo came and put a cup of coffee beside him, before sitting down in front of the stage. He gave his boss a smile and nod as he sang, in the middle of Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol. As he finished the song, he leaned down to pick up his coffee, taking a sip, before placing it on the stool he had sitting beside him. “Thanks for the coffee Leo.” He said with a smile, before starting his next song. The Only Exception by Paramore. As he started singing those opening lines, he took a look around at the people sat at the tables, and saw a familiar face. Reya, the girl he was talking to the previous Friday before the fight broke out. He couldn’t help but smile while he sang, making eye contact for a moment, before shyly averting his gaze. He was hoping he would run into her again, and there she was. I guess blizzards have a way of bringing people together… He thought to himself as he sang.

Marcus started transitioning into the bridge of the song, as all of a sudden, it went dark. All the lights went out, and the PA he was playing through cut out too. Marcus cursed under his breath when he realised what had happened. The power went out… It wasn’t too unexpected, considering how wild the blizzard was getting, but it certainly wasn’t ideal either. He pulled his phone from his pocket, turning on the flashlight before looking around for his guitar stand, setting his guitar down once he found it. He used that light to then carefully make his way off the stage, and find his way over to Leo as quickly as he could without tripping over anything or anyone. “What do you need me to do, Leo?”

Raechel Ann Corvin

Currently at:Studio Paws
With:all the animals

Are sighed looking out the window as the snow poured down. There was no way she was making it home tonight nor would she have tried. If the shop lost power too many of the pets were cold blooded and would likely freeze if no one could get the generater on. "Alright guys looks like we are in for a cold one and you know me I hate to cold so be good for me?" she calls through the pens as she moves around with food and extra bedding.

Are only spares light glances at the door between caring for the animals and straight out playing and goofing off with them. This place is 24 hours so she didn't need to lock up be she really didn't think anyone would come in. Everyone else left after their shift and the others all called out for the weather. With one last glance at the door she climbed into the dog and pup pen and sat with a bag of tennis balls. Laughing and playing, being tackled, tugged, and licked. This was when she could rest her mind and ease her soul.

Thursday: SCPD (Sol City Police Department) visiting Mom- Kimberly. Representing #Betterlatethanpregnant @Pilatus @Rodiak
As the visit continued on Dustynn gritted her teeth, the inside of her cheek raw from the angry chewing. She didn't understand how her mother could have been so selfish in this moment; or through her whole life. "Dustynn?" the meek voice of her mother took her from her thoughts, she raised her eyebrows slightly, "They told me you can make bail right now, but I don't have the money for it. I'd have to go speak to someone to help me out. For now you're just going to have to sit here." she gave her a unsympathetic glance. "I'll try to get you out as soon as possible though." she claimed, knowing that if Dustynn didn't get her out by tomorrow one of her drug head friends would bail her out and she wouldn't hear the end of it.

Claiming her possessions as she got back to the lobby, Dustynn was met with a blanket of snow. "Fuck." she muttered wrapping her jacket tight around her as she took the leap of faith and walked outside. The wind was strong, sending flurries all around her as she made her way to her car. It was buried in snow, almost to the point where the driver's side door could not be opened. Looking down to her phone she thought about calling Leo; but she knew she'd be caught in her lie if she did.

Walking back into the police station she made contact with a woman on the phone, shaking her head she kicked off the snow from her boots and shook off her jacket. "Way worse than I thought." she made a comment out loud, even though the woman may not give her any attention.

Milo Ventri

Milo heard the ringing of his phone as he sat at his worktable, gun parts and tools spread all around him, he pulled the phone up and answered it without looking.

"Milo speaking." he said gruffly mid thought as he tried to connect a couple of pieces and set them back to working order. however the voice on the other end pulled him out of the thought, Paige was the one that called, she finally got out and sounded like she had learned something good from the way she hesitated in her speech. "Well, miss walking tall, that suburban just not gonna cut it today?" Milo smirked even though she couldn't see him, "Don't worry I'll be there in a few. Your mom sends you the good stuff, I think some time can be killed with that." Milo hung up and set down the gun he was working on and grabbed his coat, he had already put the chains in the truck and swapped the tires, and set some bags of concrete in the bed, he never got stuck once mudding in Delta, he wouldn't get stuck here. as he got out to his truck and started it up the mess of a storm had only gotten worse, it wouldn't be long before even he would have a hard time.

Current Song: Bloodred Hourglass / Valkyrie
Play Here:
Location: Club Aether - Early Afternoon
Character Tags: @Zaxter996@Majoras End@MissCapnCrunch

Leo found his foot tapping away as Marcus played on the stage, that was until the power went out. With no warning the entire bar was plunged into darkness. There were gasps throughout the bar as the darkness took hold. Leo's head hung back from the chair he was sat on and he let out an audible sigh of frustration. He rose to his feet and quickly moved to reassure everyone, using the light from his phone to illuminate his face, albeit from underneath in an almost sinister kind of way.

"Well folks it looks like whichever deity you may or may not believe in has decided to play games with us. Don't worry. We prepared for this eventuality and stocked up on a fair amount of candles. In addition, the heating of this place is run on gas so we don't have to worry about that either. Besides, we have an extensive collection of items available in lost and found if anyone feels a chill. So if you bare with us, we'll get some lighting sorted and we can have a nice candle lit acoustic set played by Marcus. Should anyone have any questions, concerns or anything else, feel free to ask me."

With his brief speech over Marcus made his way over to him, asking what Leo needed him to do. "Well if you go get the candles out of the back, i'll start wheeling out some of the lost and found gear...just in case. Get a candle on each table with a couple of spares in case people need to venture to the toilet or anything. After that, get yourself back up on stage with an acoustic and play something to keep everyone occupied. I might look at getting some food cooked while the gas is still on. Any questions?" Marcus was a switched on guy and Leo knew he was more than capable of dealing with what he had asked. He was that confident that he had already started to make his way towards the lost and found, using his phones light to light the way.

During the same day...A message to Dustynn...

Well i'm glad you're all comfy and warm, we've just lost power to the
bar. Fortunately the gas is still running but even if anything happens
to that we'll be fine thanks you the mountain of clothes in lost and
found lol. I'm just really glad you're home and out of the snow, I won't
lie I was concerned about you being out in this. Thankfully you're all
snug. Feel free to call me if you want, I do miss the sound of your
voice...even with your strange American accent ;) lol xx

“I don’t think it’s gonna cut it any day.” Paige said flatly glancing back out at her soulless government issued transportation being more and more steadily buried in snow. “I liked my 4Runner better.” She knew Milo would remember the one and only car she ever really owned. Her dad bought it used as her first car when she was in high school from a local dealership in Delta City. It survived two years of high-school, then UF, and multiple trips all over south Florida before she got on with Florida State Police and had a cruiser of her own. Beaten, bruised, with faded-silver paint and numerous decals from her and Ana’s various escapades scattered all over the back glass, the odometer had to be somewhere north of 300k, but it soldiered on, unkillable. “Did you know my dad still has it? He still drives it.” If he knew half the things we did with that car he’d probably disown me. She thought with a brief smirk.

As she spoke, she noticed a young girl leave from the front entrance and then promptly come back in after getting a good dose of the weather. “Yeah, daddy doesn’t know about a lot of the stuff she sends me.” Which so far included the expensive winter jacket she was wearing, a nice purse to fit her gun when she went out, some hollow-point bullets, a few other things and presently, a very large bottle of high-proof Jamaican rum. Paige’s mother made good money as a judge, while her father made very little as a preacher. As Milo was also well aware, they did not see eye-to-eye on everything and Paige was essentially just like her mother, only a step further. She thought about the logistics of what she said and knew she probably sounded very blonde to Milo, but she’d never been in a snowstorm before. “I guess I should follow you?” She said thinking about his silly, jacked-up pickup making a track for her to go behind. “I don’t know I’ll see you when you get here.”

When the weather died down and Milo went home, she didn’t didn’t want to be without transportation, nor did leaving the property of the Marshal Service in the Sol City Clerk of the Court’s parking space sound like a particularly good idea. As she thought about it, the young girl that came back inside, partially covered in snow, which attracted the attention of several officers as the swing of the door again let the heat out. Paige shook her head slightly at the girl's comment as she hung up with Milo. She at least seemed to be dressed for the occasion while Paige still only had on her regular jeans and sneakers. Before she could say anything an officer came up and sternly asked what they were doing there and that they needed everyone to leave as soon as possible, only on-duty personnel were being allowed to stay.

Unimpressed, Paige lifted her jacket open showing her star and gun and that she didn't have to follow any of their orders.

“Okay, she with you then?” The officer quickly spat back and motioned towards Dustynn. He had a lot to do and wasn't in the mood for a showdown with someone he couldn't control.

“Yeah, she's with me.” Paige shot back instantly and glanced over at Dustynn. His tone was enough to prick her nerves and there was enough going on that she wasn't going to put up with a grown man being a bitch. She hoped the girl would have sense enough to play along. SCPD would not be in the mode for providing transportation and the girl looked like she didn’t have a lot of money. Ditching her would have just sentenced her to the same bench or cot that she was also in the process of avoiding.

As the officer walked away somewhat defeated, Paige looked back at Dustynn with some satisfaction that she had put him in his place. “Don't worry about him, he's just being a dick.” She said cutting her eyes again to make sure he was indeed on his merry-way. “I'm Paige… And I'm not a cop.” She said offering a handshake. “We’ll get you outta here.” Inside her jacket pocket she thumbed the key fob for the automatic start while outside the Suburban’s lights came on as the engine started. The wipers tossed away a healthy layer of snowfall.

She was looking forward to spending some time with Milo, just the two of them for a while after they helped out Dustynn. She knew Milo wouldn't mind. They certainly had bigger adventures in the past. Some day-drinking sounded like a plan for sure and reminded her some of the date they had before she was put in the hospital. Other than Thirsty-Thursday with Sio, it was the last time she'd really indulged.

Maria Olympus

on way to pet store with Fluffy that evening

Maria thought she would have a quiet day in the city sorting out some things for the family, the snow was hammering outside her hotel and it was a total white out. Fluffy a rather large German shepard had curled up a dog bed they had supplied when she gave a extra deposit to allow her to being her pet with her to Sol. The girl got loney and pined after her so this time she took her furry companion with her on the trip.

She had a few things to sort out in the city before she met her daughter, and Victoria who kind of would be her stepdaughter and that was pretty nerve-wracking. There was a glittering diamond on her engagement finger thanks to Vesarian and her getting back together. It was a quick engagement but thry had already been growing close doe a few years prior and things had taken a more romantic turn in the last few months. The race day sealed it and they ended up dancing together the whole night happily. Sharing a daughter. Well years ago she would have hated him but now... Now they where enageged again and well, had a grown up pair of daughters to explain wedding stuff to!

Life was not entirely easy for Maria when it came to checking her luggage finding she brought the empty bottle. Fluffy needed that medicine, it was a pretty small thing but was helping her deal with a prior illness and a gap would not be good for her fur baby. She loved her dog too much. It was a blizzard but she definitely needed that for her girl. She was little clingy, espechily when Fluffy was in strange places.

you need some more stuff. I forgot it girl... Stay, il be back... Oh.. Come on then. We better be quick it's cold out and you ain't a husky.

...

Heading out she pulled on some winter boots, a dark longer designer wool coat over a cashmere jumper and a warm fur hat picked up at a vintage boutique in Covent garden. Long gold blonde hair, straight and a pair of eyes that some said almost where gold in the right light. She was older but still attractive and her career and DR made sure she had a few nice things. The weather was way to bad to ever drink be, even if she could get the rental out the garage... It was a rather nice Bentley, powerful, fast and abit of fun. Rather useless in this weather though.

Rushing through the snow she checked on her iPhone in lobby before making a quick dash to a open pet store who was close ernough but the cold was biting and it took some effort to keep Fluffy from playing in the snow and getting cold... A quick few sharp commands to keep her from being too protective. Not everyone was hostile but Fluffy had a small issue around men and being a good sized German sheapard was not exactly a lap dog and could pack a good bite. Seeing her bite doesn't en on things was ernough warning.

Opening the door and closing it quickly before leaning down and brushing the snow off fluffy, she was a slightly silly girl at times and drived though a small snow drift. With a soft English accent and laughing at her dog, who have her a shake and wetted her in response. She did not relise quite how much she talked to her dog, but somehow Maria got a idea those eyes understood at least her intentions. She was clever like all her breed but was not sure if this was anything diffrent ormr just a normal quirk.

Maria's rather large Germanshapard followed on a shorter but strong lead behind her with little challenge. Maria was boss, with a dog her size it was important. Spotting the young woman she put her hat on the counter and looked over with almost gold eyes and a look of a woman who had aged rather well and looked good for her age despite having a 27 year old daughter. Admitly she was abit foolish and got pregnant before she was 20... Thhen he left her. That was a hell one to explain to dad.

your a silly lady. Come on. Let's get you your medicine. And Don, t give me that look. Youl thank me later. Yes you will.

Hi miss, I need somthing and I'm rather desperate . I'm from England and grabbed the wrong bottle. Fluffy here needs to complete her set treatment, or she gonna get ill again. . Please, do you have any?

Large dog dosage, she not a small lady this one. I'm OK with dosages and measurements, I'm a Dr, I Don, t mind if it's measured dosage or larger bottle.

Please, everywhere else seemed closed, or never answered the phone.

Putting over a note from the vet she used bring the stuff in without too many questions, a prescription for a treatment that probbly was not gonna come too cheap over the counter like this. She was concerned about her pet so rambled a alittle like most did.

Maria was still pretty welcoming and gave Fluffy a quick fluff as she stood by her, sniffing round the strange smells and looking over slightly rival like at some of thr others, naturally falling into a guarding behaviour of her mistress. Her cheeks began to go back to normal as she had flushed from the cold where the scarf and hat had not protected her. Providing her Id to match the medical document and Dr prefix, she was not sure how controlled or not, and so went overboard to get the medication.

Ethan smiled at her text shaking his head about her walking. Well a little crazy was fine. He hoped she wasn't far from the place. As he thought this the tiny break in the storm receded. The snow was coming down thicker and was very pretty honestly. He sat down at the fire and stared at the snow as Victoria walked in out of the snow.

He stood and escorted her over to the fire. He leaned down to help her out of her coat. He kissed her back he steadied her with his hands on her hips. He smiled back at her and let her move away and sit down ordering an iced tea. He was driving so drinking was out of the question.

Ethan smiled at Victoria’s comment on how he almost looked like a rockstar. “I do enjoy not being pulled away from a date with a pretty woman. You look fantastic as usual I'm seeing.”

Ethan let her talk. When she was done he took her hands in his own and looked deep into her eyes. “You spoke to me with your eyes. I don't want to waste your time or mine so let me be straight. I'm looking for a woman who can keep up with me and hold her own. If you think you can handle that then awesome but if you can't you need to let me know now.”

Just as he said that the power went out.

Ash stared blankly as Capella approached the stranger who, just to note, made no comments of any kind yet. That in itself was enough to frighten Ash, but now was not the time to be afraid. He still was, but that didn't mean he was supposed to be. "Toas-Inferno! likes everyone, it's a tactic to get them comfortable enough and let their guard down!" He begun bluffing again, but dropped the act soon enough. It was clearly not working. "Eh, forget it." He squinted as the stranger flashed something in front of them. "Ash... Ashton Griffith? Griffon. Fire department. Oh..." Ash said it out loud, mostly so his companion would understand what was going on as well.

That made him feel stupid.

Stupid enough to scratch his head and try to hide the plank behind the back, in an almost utterly childish goofy manner, dropping it to the floor as quietly as possible.

"Oh... This is unfortunate. I- errr... I apologize? I thought for show you are here to rob or kill us. And you being in a fire department still doesn't mean I'm letting you off the hook! That's a good cover for a serial killer. I think I've seen an episode of Criminal Minds with a similar premise... huh." he let out a strained laugh as he sighed out. Sure, he overreacted but he wasn't all that to blame. The stranger did give out a bit of a red flag vibe before. If only he said something, that would surely put Ash's heart at ease.

He glared daggers towards Capella's back as his companion called him an idiot. Well, he was. But that was not the point. "So Ash? Well, I'm Ash."

Raechel heard the door. Pulling herself to her feet she fought through the herd or puppies. Quickly she stepped up asking what she could help the woman with. Rae's smile was that bright customer service kind that covered any doubt or hesitation. As the woman spoke she listened carefully, the woman's accent was clear and chime-like, almost memorizing. "Well with this note I should be able to run this through our pharmacy and have your card reimbursed. For now let me get you what you need and rung up." Raechel moved quickly behind the pharmacy counter photocopying the note and marking the sale in the inventory. Coming back around with the bottle she rung up the medicine and bagged it. "Is there anything else you're gonna need ladies? A winter coat and boots perhaps? We don't need you getting a cold." she said smiling down at the shepard.

Four hours Aoki had spent hunched over an oil painting. Her pale blue hair had been pulled back by two bobby pins, and ever so often her round glasses would slip down the bridge of her nose if she leaned in too much. Her back ached, and her elbows were sore from being folded for too long, but the stubborn woman kept on brushing the skinny brush over the painted red fabric. She had finally matched the color of the red tunic and was covering the white paste she had used to cover up the slash the painting had had a few hours ago. Now, the ugly slash was being covered with maroon oil paint and blended into the original. The painting had no name, but it was of a plump woman in a white and red tunic, her eyes staring directly at Aoki as she did her best to bring back the woman's tunic back from ruin. Aoki had spent an hour fixing the woman's blonde curls and another fixing the left corner of her mouth to make sure the nameless woman looked as she had before the years took the painting color and some of its features.

"Aoki," someone called from the door of the well-lit room. While the storm had rolled in, the large windows inside the studio had been very little help to Aoki since very little light made it through the clouded sky, so she had been forced to use two large laps on either side of her to see the painting. "Aoki!" They called again and the woman with the blue hair jumped and peeked past the canvas to see a man standing by the door.

Aoki removed her earbuds from her ears, allowing the loud heavy metal music to fill the room. "Ah, sorry about that. I like listening to my music while I paint." She chuckled nervousely as she stood from her chair, back cracking at the change of position. She groaned and rolled her shoulders before making her way to her co-worker. "What can I do for you, Alfred?"

Alfred was a tall man with a slender figure tanned skin and buzzed cut hair. "You haven't looked out the window, have you?" He raised an eyebrow at her then glanced back at the canvas. "Of course you haven't." He shook his head and crossed his arms over his chest. "Doc Ali is dismissing everyone. The storm seems to be a very serious one."

"Oh!" Aoki glanced back to look out of the windows. From the studio windows the gardens of the museum were visible, but today everything was covered by a thick layer of snow. "I know there was going to be a storm, but I didn't realize it would be this bad." She didn't quite take American news too seriously. In Sweden, snow was the second nature to its citizens, and it did very little to stop them from going to work or school. Here, it seemed like a bit of snow fall was called a storm by everyone. "I did think it was going to be a few inches of snow."

Alfred rolled his eyes. "Yes, yes, I get it you're from a snowy place, but this one seems serious. Doc Ali said to tell you first since he knows how you get when you start painting. Seriously, Aoki, you can't stay here. It'll be freezing later, and the snow might keep piling up."

Aoki nodded and smiled at his fuzzing. "I will don't worry. Thank you for telling me, Alfred." With that, the taller man left Aoki alone in the studio.

Alfred was right, the snow seemed to be piling up, and she was sure there would be no way the roads would be open for long. She had to catch the bus before service stopped or slowed down. While she enjoyed the snow, she did not want to be stuck out in the freezing temperatures waiting for the bus.

Two hours later...

She should have listened to Alfred. Aoki was an idiot for staying in the studio for another half an hour to finish up the painting! The last bus had passed ten minutes ago before she arrived at the stop and now she stood under the small roof of the bus station trying to avoid the harsh wind. Aoki had a coat and a large scarf to keep her warm and dry, but her feet were starting to get wet. She should have opted her less fashionable boots instead of the ones she had on right now.

"This sucks!" Aoki groaned out loud as she made her way down the street towards the Police station. There was a bus stop there that would at least drop her off a few blocks away from her apartment, but at least she wouldn't have to walk all the way to Old Harbor. It would be at least fifteen minutes before the bus arrived at the station, so Aoki had five minutes to make it to the station and ten to wait in the freezing cold, she was not looking forward to it at all.

Ever since Monday Karishma and Alex had exchanged numbers and had been texting and FaceTiming each other every chance they got. While Karishma was busy with the recording of her new single and auditioning for roles in television series or movies, she still had time for the nice young man she had breakfast that Monday morning. There was something about him that she liked a lot and Gabe was getting sick of hearing her talk about him or the pictures of cakes he would send her on a da ily basis. The whole ride to the university Karishma giggled at her phone and snapped a quick selfie with her cup of coffee and seven empty sugar packs. Gabe still didn't know how she was able to consume so much sugar and sweets without getting cavities, and her new center of attention worked in a bakery. Yay, more sweets.

After an hour of careful driving through the snow-covered streets of Sol City, they finally made it to the university in one piece. Gabe escorted Karishma to one of the halls were auditions were being held. The role she was auditioning was for a movie about an India woman who lives in a remote village in India where a British archeologist travels there to learn and record the culture there. They fall in love, and the woman leaves the village to go to London. The British man had already been cast, and it was rumored to be a English celebrety making his way to American films, much like Karishma was. So she memorized all the lines she was given and even practiced with Gabe, practiced in the shower, practice on her morning workouts and even as she texted Alex. Karishma wanted the role, she needed the role to start up her career and stop living off her savings.

"You can talk Hindi right?" The woman in a blue pants suit asked Karishma, who stood in the middle of the room with her hands folded behind her back.

"Yes, I can talk Hindi, English, French, and Spanish," Karishma said with a polite smile. Not many people knew she was able to talk four languages. While Karishma was not very bright with numbers or date, she was rather gifted at learning other languages. She had been planing on learning German or Russian next. "I can also do many accents; I practice in front of the mirror every day while I do my make up." She smiled when the people behind the table laughed and nodded.

"We have seen your resume," A man with brown hair and pale skin said, a producer for the film. "While you have a lot of tittles under your belt you also have a big reputation."

Karishma sighed and nodded. That subject couldn't be avoided. Her reputation had followed her from India into America, and it had proven to be a blockade on her career, and she was trying to get over it, but no matter what she wasn't able to push past it. "Ah, yes. Tabloids slandered my name and my image back home. I'm sure you read about the break-in my home while I was away too." She shook her head and rubbed her temples. Thinking about the incident always gave her a headache. "This is why I want to continue acting and entertaining. I want to show people that no matter who you love you will continue with determination and dedication." She brought the smile back to her lips.

"Yes, that is something we liked about you. Your acting it amazing, and you can capture so many emotions." The man looked at the other two women sitting at the table with him. "We'll call you when we have made our decision. Thank you for coming, Karishma."

"I look forward to your call." Karishma smiled and went to shake their hands before leaving the room with a little smile. While they had been a little cold, there was something about the way the two women looked at her while she acted out the scene that gave her a little hope that she would be cast into the film. All the had to do now was wait.

Gabe was sitting outside of the small hall with other people who were waiting for their auditions. Karishma shot him a quick smile and a thumbs up as he approached her.

"How did it go?" Gabe asked, handing her coat and coffee. Her smile told him it went well, and the thumbs up meant she was confident that she would be scoring the role as the main character, or maybe a supporting role.

"Good!" Karishma said, not mentioning the small talk about her reputation in India or her words about her career path. Gabe knew why she wanted to continue her career in the entertaining business and she hadn't given up so easily. It was something Gabe supported and wanted to see her succssed in.

"Let's go, it's cold in here." Gabe said as they made their way down the hallway and soon enough found themselves a bit lost.

Ashton Griffone || Somewhere near the Old Museum?/Abandoned Building || Thursday Late Afternoon/Evening

#PuddledAshes Ash Carson @LostBrotherGrimm, Capella Xing @Tenma Tendo

Smiling brightly as the pooch approached her, Ashton gently scratched the dog behind the ears with on hand and giving him some loving pets on top of his head. What a good dog! Amethyst eyes flicking up to the youngest of the two boys. She examined his eyes. Did he have trouble seeing? Mhm that could be a problem since pretty much all her communication is visual. What are the chances of someone hard of seeing and someone hard of speaking being in the same place in a snowstorm? Probably not all that high.

As Capella offered his hand, Ashton gave a smile, raising her right hand and giving the boy's hand a firm shake with calloused slender fingers. A idea came to mind and she wondered if the boy knew sign. So she moved her hands to grip the back of his palm and gently shifting her other hand against his palm. Gingerly making words and letters out of her hand as it shifted to speak through her hands. Signing to the boy that it was nice to meet him.

Looking to the other boy apparently named Ash, Ashton gave a silent chuckle. Raising her left hand vertically over her face and bowed her head a bit apologetically. Scratching her left cheek with her left index finger in embarrassment at having giving the boys quite the spook. Suppose seeing a giant lone figure in the middle of a snowstorm that didn't say a word was a bit intimidating. She smiled, her left hand raising to her throat and cupped it bit. Patting it as she opened her mouth as if to say something. But no sound came out of it. She tried again. Only pain clenched her throat as if clamping down hard to choke her out. So the result only ended up in a cough.

It was show, that she couldn't talk. And that was why she hadn't said anything to them.

Victoria Darya Romus "Vika"

Thrusdsy early afternoon, bedroom suite (Park view) to the Lighthouse . "Daughter of Persephone"

Victoria made a quick glance to her phone when it buzzed before waking in fully and saw Milos message, stood under the shelter she tapped out a very quick reply. This was somthong she had to reply to before she could think straight, not want it sitting on her mind.

oh... Sorry this is so awkward... Now I feel crappy about messaging at start. . I guess we both did not exactly deal with that evening very well, nore the aftermath. Life just had different plans for us, and things where not meant to be.

Il have to let you know. . I'm not sure of my schedule coming up as work gonna be abit crazy after the storm, especially with thr back log. Thankyou... Its, well I did not expect so. Your work is so beautiful. Il never be entirely free of one... Some things are to severe to ever fully heal. Just bad days now. Not all days. I'm happy with that.

Mind if I passed your info onto some one. They would love to have somthing like that made... It met her at rehab. She used be a fencing instructor before she had a bad injury. Sorry... I know it a tangent... But it just came to me.

Stay safe, this storms pretty nasty. Worsr than Moscow... And that's saying somthing.
VR

It was pretty difficult to reply to but honest, Gah, what done was done she had been unable to change it, make things diffrent or so.

Once she sat down and have a smile as he helped her out rather heavy duty coat but it was meant for winters at sea, or deep in Russia. Her dad knew of a few good manufacturers and the decals where company or the split flag had been made up for her to tell it apart from the others. Most winters it was abit much but this was as a rather bad in, and the warmth was extremly extremely welcome.

Sipping her drink, she was lucky she did not have to drive so could drink and needed it to warm back up anyway. She smiled as her eyes glittered slightly in the fire light, though dark grey did make a strange surface to reflect light. Playing slightly with her long black hair out of a few small nerves. Go for it Victoria, just do it... Not get anywhere without trying. Things got pretty direct, though least they knew where they stood.

I try... Shame about the weather, It was too cold for my cute dress.

Smiling, she was feeling more confident and looked at the menu, it would be nice to have somthong warm and abit comforting. She could have abit of small work out at rehab, not quite up to fully but things where improving slowly anyway. Cursing as the power went out and things did not pitch black but did go dark as staff ran about handing out candles, and so while they tried to work out what on earth to do. Taking advantage of the darkness she held his hands, which where quite abit smaller and cooler than his thanks to the weather outside despite her winter gloves.

and you well, you intrested me. You only get to live once after all.... Looks like lunch is not on the menu.

Keep up. I earn my own wage anyway. I'm not some leech of that's what you thinking. I can keep up, though my life is mine and Im gonna live it now I have a chance at being well... Me again. For a good few years. Well things outside my control held be back.

I know who are, all I ask is I'd rather stay out the media as much as sensibley possible, honestly. The fame does not intrest me. Prior experience gives me a sour taste of them. well... If that's a problem. I guess we both cannot say we tried to lie or pretend we are people we are not. Though the other way, I'd not sell you out... I Don, t like em. So il not help them. I'm not here for money. I make more than ernough for me to be happy, comfortable and content.

Cheesey was it sounds. I was intrested before I knew, I did not walk up to a rock star, just a cute guy at a bar I liked look of.

Smiling as the candle began to pick up and the waitress did a great job at being deaf, blind and gave Victoria a quick smile before vanishing again. Maybe she she had been too honest, but he asked direct questions and he got direct answers. Did ne expect a groupie who would fawn over him and obey his every whim? That definitely would not work, might be better off with one of the bimbos from the club who attacked them. She tried to keep her accent from veering into Russian but it did abit and wondered if it was a rather quick date over already.

dates by candle light and a log fire. Somehow I'm not hating this...

Though I can keep up in other ways... If you can anyway...

Giving a rather cheeky smile at that, well they both wanted the same thing or they did not, no point hiding who she was. Just cause more heart ache down the road. Victoria was 50/50 on if they work or not... Least he came to the date alone, and drove self. So he least had some sense of not being some coddled man baby like the billionaires of jazz night.

They both seemed to defy half thr normal first date rules. No real what do you do, who are you, cats etc... He just opened up with a challenge..

Least if nothing else ever, it was definitely a intresting story to tell. You only got one chance, might as well take it.

Thursday: SCPD. Representing #Betterlatethanpregnant @Pilatus @Rodiak Texting Leo @CaptainSully
After the side comment to the woman, the police started to question Dustynn's intentions. Had they not seen what was going on outside? Dustynn began to open her mouth to tell them off but the other woman stepped in and spoke up. Stepping closer in, she made it clear that the two were together, despite the lie. Dustynn hoped this woman wasn't about to shoot up the police station, or the shit ridden fan would definitely be turned on to full blast.

Dustynn grabbed Paige's hand and giving it a firm shake. The not being a cop comment was both comforting and non-comforting at once. "I'm Dusty." she returned the introduction, settling for a lazy nickname in case this situation turned weird. It appeared that the woman was offering a ride out of this place though, so she couldn't complain. "Thanks, I really appreciate it!" she cooed, walking back outside as she looked for the car they would be taking. The suburban was way more reliable in this weather. "Mine is the shitty Ford over there." she motioned to the car buried in the white fluff, "I should invest in one of these bad boys when I get the chance." she said, admiring the SUV as it wiped away the debris quickly.

Reaching into her pocket when it vibrated, she read the text from Leo, mad at herself that she had got herself into this situation that was intertwined with her lies. Leo always found a way to bring a smile to her face regardless.

HEY! You love my accent!! If you find a red sweatshirt that says Las Vegas on it, that's mine. Don't let any stinky broad take it. I just haven't got the chance to grab it myself, LOL. xoxo

She pressed send on the text message as the two women crawled into the car, Dustynn turned to Paige, "I'm from Southside, so if it's too far the other way from home for you, you can just bring me a bit down the road and I'll walk the rest." she mentioned, she didn't want to bother the woman who had already helped her out this far. She considered mentioning she could also drop her off at Club Aether, but knew Leo would have a lot to say about it.

Parkview - Thursday - late afternoon

Seeing how the snow was starting to fall and while they were on the way to Marin's place, it was a good thing that both Xia and Marin were able to sort of chit chat to feel each other out a bit more. I mean, if one wants to be friends with someone, there needed to be a foundation of mutual trust and understanding of each other. Yes, this spicy egg that Xia is hopefully would not be too hot to handle for Marin. Sweet girl, damn sure someone Xia appreciates for the fact that this female invited her to stay at her manor through this storm. Xia wouldn't have made it if she had to be left in the dark and in the cold with barely any food with an asshole AKA family member.

Xia was a hands on persona and her gestures were usually genuine. Hopefully not something that would push Marin away when she hugged her. Well when we go out for drinks, lets just make sure that if we are both drinking, if one of us notices the other is starting to get shitfaced...the one who is not totally drunk should stop to watch out for the shitface...that's...that's a bad term...fuck it...the less drunk one will have the duty of watching after the shitfaced one. That's what friends do... She winked.

After getting to the home from the bus ride and then sitting and relaxing while Xia recorded, Xia noticed Marin getting in on the video which added icing on the cake. Friends in high places...deuces! She said when the video ended and watched the video once more to review it before sending it to her cousin for him to watch. Hearing Marin then ask her a question about watching Disney, Xia turned around. Hm? Disney?.....nah...wish I did though...those movies and shows are the best. She said in response and took another sip of her tea and smirked.

Rum tush would like to thank milk tush for the hospitality....but since this place is huge...there's a lot of shit we can do here to make time go by fast. She told her. Hearing about what they could have as far as a game room, Xia stood A ball room? That's it? Well even though you just moved it...while my chocolately ass is here...we are going to explore this place like a
safari.....wait for a moment there....I just thought of history...you know like the English explorers going through the jungles of Afric-...nevermind...anywho...I'm talking about video games, board games, bar games like pool and foosball, air hockey, darts....all of that. So....how about we explore find the games...explore...and do more...
She suggested and noticed something on Marin's stomach wondering what the hell that was? She didn't want to be rude and suddenly bring it up but looked a little like a scar and maybe when the time is right, she'll ask but knowing her...may not happen that way.

After looking through an old cabinet with vintage stuff, Xia looked along with Marin and chuckled slightly. She saw the old broken game system and pulled it out. Damn...well...so much for this...I'm sure there's more we can find... She then looked over to Marin when she spoke. Hmm...well depends on what you have...do you have Italian food? If not...I'm not picky... She said to her but what Marin said next was somewhat interesting. Speaking how she felt lonely in this big house and all, Xia found it a bit cute how she was opening up to her some liking that Xia was there with her. The island girl couldn't help but smirk from her confession. Hey...I mean...I'm sorta glad too. She looked around I can see how it can be quite lonely here....but while I'm here....we are going to get into a lot of shit...don't worry. She winked.

Then there was a random hug. Xia at first just stood there wondering where that came from but she smirked and hugged her back, keeping the smaller English girl in her embrace. With Marin asking her if she was curious about anything else, Xia stared for a moment into her eyes. Ever made out with a girl before? She asked with a serious expression while continuing to stare Marin in eyes waiting for a moment. Xia couldn't help but chuckle. You don't have to answer that, I couldn't keep a straight face. She said looking away.

I was going to mention this later but...I don't want to offend you or anything or cross any boundaries. If you don't want to answer or talk about it, I can leave it alone but...um....do you have a scar on your stomach? If so...how did that happen? She asked genuinely curious. Sorry if that's too personal. You can ask me something personal if you want...

Milo Ventri

Milo was on his way to the station, the storm had worsened and the sound to the wind could be heard even through the truck, however his tires held tight and he was moving pretty well. Milo left some electro swing cd in the stereo the day before and was enjoying the music as he drove, at least until he felt a message come through on his cell phone, he instinctively pulled it up and looked it over, something about the conversation with Vika thus far was not settling well with him, even after all that had happened, it seemed that she either didn't understand that he hurt from it all still, or she didn't care, maybe she just thinks that by ignoring the blatant unresolved emotion that they will just go to being friends. Milo was about to start typing a response when he looked up to notice was drifting a little and was on track to run down a pedestrian.

Milo spun the wheel and his tires gripped the snow enough to spin him out away from the person, however now he was spinning out and soon came to stop in the middle of the street, lucky for him, not many drivers out today. Milo pulled up to the person and got out.

"Hey, sorry bout that, you alright?" Milo walked up to the person and tried to block the snow from his face, as looked over the girl he sort of recognized her, she was that girl from the pier that was drawing him, "Hey I remember you, Aoki right?"
