I suppose I'll start with the basics. I'm a female, age 22, married, mother, from and currently living in the US.

Started rping about 8 years ago but haven't been doing much writing in the past 3 years.

Ridiculously unpredictable schedule, nonexistent motivation, professional procrastinator, tired mom.

"Honestly, I have no idea. I thought about doing it a lot, but whenever it came down to it I just didn't." Rin said then bit her lip. Memories of the times spent with Marcus flashed through her mind. The gun rang, the party, his brother's funeral, the night on the beach, the hotel room... She had so much history with him and it was undeniable that she loved him, but how exactly did she love him? His was her best friend, but he was also something more. "John is the perfect guy, he's who I should be with." Rin said. "So why did I kiss Marcus...?" She mumbled.
"Me and Marcus are best friends, there isn't anything we don't tell each other. And I mean that. " She paused and sighed. "And I never so much as mentioned John to him. Yesterday wasn't just the first time they met, it was the first thing he even knew of him." Her hand drifted up to her face and she rubbed her forehead. "But that isn't all. There's been something between Marcus and I..." She trailed off.
Rin turned around and leaned against the counter and folded her arms. "Yeah, he did. And it was terrible." she said with a sigh. Her eyes drifted to the floor and glassed over. She was thinking of that brief moment in the hangar when she first saw Marcus and kissed him. Maybe it was nothing... But it sure didn't feel like nothing. "I did something..." she said quietly.
Rin held her breath for a moment, trying to think of what she should say. Just laugh it off and don't act serious was what herbbrain told her to do.Talk to her, tell her. You'll feel bette. is what her heart told her. "what did you think of him?" she asked, desperately trying to play it cool.
Rin looked back at Tess and wiped a piece of what was now black hair from her face. "I didn't get any sleep, just one of those nights." she grumbled and looked back to the monitor. There were several minor issues she would have to repair. "what are you up to?" she asked.
After a dinner filled with awkward chit chat Rin and John went to their separate rooms. Rin said she was really tired to avoid hanging out with him for the night. After a sleepless night filled with miserable nightmares Rin was forced to get up and start her duties. Her morning started in the hangar where she was running some diagnostics on her ship.
John chuckled. "I'm part of the team that monitors the damage the ship takes and then directs crews to repair it. Or sometimes we have to lock down whole sections." John explained. He seemed completely unaware of anything between Rin and Marcus. "I think I'll go get us some food." Rin said then quickly stood and walked off, leaving the two to talk.
John spoke up. "Yeah, we've been going out a few months now." he slowly retracted his hand and moved his arm to around Rin's shoulders. Rin's eyes were nervous and guilty. Regrets flooded her mind as she considered what she should have done differently. For a moment she locked eyes with Marcus, the feeling of betrayal was more than she could deny. No one could probably tell what was happening, but they could read each other like a book. "John works up on the bridge of the ship." she remarked in an attempt to break the tension. Though only seconds had passed she felt like it had been an hour.
Rin nodded. "I'm in section H." she remarked. Her eyes moved about quickly catching his but not lingering. "It's our job to be on our toes at all times, but it never seems to get easier to completely change direction. You just learn how to deal with it better I guess." she said with a sigh, then continued. "Here a few months back me and Dodger, the guy flying my wing got into -" she was interrupted when a man walked up and hugged her and kissed her cheek. "oh, hey." she stammered. As he took a seat next to Rin his bright eyes looked to Marcus. "John, this is Marcus. An old friend. Marcus, this is John... My boyfriend." she said awkwardly.

"nice to meet you!" John said and reached his hand across to Marcus for him to shake.
Rin smiled when she saw Marcus. Her heart beat quicken as it almost always did when she was around him. But this time it was different, she was nervous. "You get settled in?" She asked leaning forward and propping her arms on the table. Legs crossed she tapped her her foot against the table.
