Get acquainted with Silvervale:

A funny little city on the outskirts of Louisiana, Silvervale is known for its strange sometimes dark history that its locals unapologetically commemorate through various festivals and traditions. The city has idyllic areas mixed in with modern aesthetics. There’s a quirky perpetual fog that gives it a blue-ish silver look that even translates well in photographs, so everywhere you turn your bound to find a photo perfect opportunity. Previous fact is also attributed to the impressive tourist traffic in the city, aside from its prolific landmarks and festivities. The locals of Silvervale are very inviting even if sometimes weird, well… quirky. Silvervale’s streets and landmarks are named after the executed residents from day’s old, most of which have their own little artifact and pointers telling their tale: how they lived, what they were accused of and how they died. This was under the efforts of the city to honour those that were wronged from such dreadful times, it’s quite the trip to look through and learn each of them. There are rumours that it’s more a superstitious act to ward off a curse more than it was anything, but you know, Silvervale is full of tales.

A brief read-up on "The Great Three":

_{Back in the day the town was mostly known to be the home of it's infamous witches, which later on contributed to the traditional practices and modern day festivals of Silvervale. Aurelia “The Mystica” Willard, was a noble woman; Initially a young Spanish ‘slave’ sold by her father to a wealthy elderly English nobleman, Benjamin Willard to be his bride. They later migrated to the Americas, on a small settlement in the fringes of thick lush marshes and woodlands somewhere in new New Orleans. When Benjamin died under mysterious circumstances, Aurelia became the head of the household and through his husband's abandoned wealth, she had lived the rest of her life, in grandiose and fame, spending on material things: sex and exclusive soirees amongst her fellow nobility. Notorious for being a cruel and conniving woman, she had her way with getting what she wants, thus being both feared and respected in the small community plus equally earning her a grand number of enemies. She had a young personal servant, named Rebecca Marks who literally sold her soul to Aurelia. Some say she was a thrall under Aurelia's spell, some say they were actually lovers, but either way history had little to no information on the true nature of their relationship. Another name of note was Emilia La Fontaine's: the local bordello madam, who in more than one occasion has been accused of dabbling in witchcraft. Adding to that fact, there are a number of instances where men, most commonly of notorious statuses, would go missing in the area, the bordello being their last known location. Nobody really knows where they have gone. At some point she had been in correspondence with Mystika, it is said that both were dabbling with the demonic arts among other things. Both had been punished for these accusations, along with Aurelia's beloved servant for her supposed involvement... all three women were executed in horrific fashions to get dispel of their demonic ties. This is just one of the many tales surrounding the city's strange history. Silvervale has since compensated for its barbaric ways by honoring the dead through festivities and commemorations, thus the birth of it's fascinating profile.}

One of Silvervale’s prolific landmarks: known for its thriving pubs and clubs often visited by tourists coming in for Silvervale’s night life but is also frequented by a huge number of the local university’s students. Named to commemorate Rebecca Mark, one of the Three Witches executed during the 1600s when condemning progressive female figures is a pretty common occurrence. In spite of its dark history, it is now a very welcoming space for just about anyone wanting to relieve stress and get, as the locals say it, FUKT’UP though do be wary of the occasional pub fights.

Home of the Tinkerheads, the 100 year old University built by the first revolutionaries of Silvervale. Its mission is to wholly develop the abilities, skills, intellect and EQ of its students leading them towards bringing something new to society. The university is known for bringing about Inventors and Artists, and as such is prolific for the arts. The University has 3 separate buildings divided into: Arts, Sciences and Technology. There’s a track field, a football field, an indoor pool, a theatre, and etc.

A swamp connected to the woods behind the University, a bridge connecting the main path from town to the University was constructed to make way for the students. Although it passes more now as looking like a lake thanks to the beautification efforts of the city’s governing bodies –All hail the Tinkers!!- , this body of water is actually a swamp. This was where Aurelia “The Mystika” Willard was executed, being fed to the crocodiles by a wilding mob. During the city festival/foundation fair, it is a tradition to throw in silver trinkets into the lake as a way of honouring Mystika and her contribution to the history and progress of the city. The silver trinkets also give the swamp a silver blue-ish glow that ultimately became its namesake.

A huge forest behind the university, connected to the Silver Swamp. There are some abandoned establishments within its grounds that make for a fun exploration if you’re not afraid of the wildlife and the legends that surround it. They say if you stay quiet enough and block out the noise of wildlife you can hear whispers and wailing from within the woods. Another story claims there’s a boogie man living some miles deep and should you find yourself within its domain, you’ll end up getting tickled to death before becoming a stew –they call it, the Canibuk.

A thriving and bustling part of town, this is where you can get your dry and wet goods. They’ve got, meat, fruits, seafood, fresh flowers, seedlings, crafting supplies, first-aid kits, beating animal hearts, bottle of tears, used surgical gloves, and plenty more sweet deals. At the center of the marketplace is the Circle where artisans, local and foreign, set up booths on the weekends to showcase their works and eventually make profit, ANYONE’s welcome to sell ANYTHING at the circle. The previous statement also brings in quite a percentage of tourists into the city.

The core of the city, it’s wide enough for people to congregate on during the many festivities of Silvervale. Lined with benches and trees, it is often adorned by decorations that change monthly and most likely based on the current celebration being held. The Plaza is often crowded on the weekends by tourists and locals alike, marvelling at the decorations or just hanging out. Just 40 years ago, a gallows was fixed dead centre of the plaza where plenty of people were executed back in the day. It has since been replaced by a platform made entirely out of silver and aluminium that somehow still hasn’t lost its shine nor has any sort of blemish or scratch. There’s a small playground on the east corner of the plaza dedicated to the Lost Kids, some orphans who mysteriously disappeared 400 years ago.

The Cauldron

A rustic chic diner located in a 4 story complex in front of the plaza, they serve the best stew in the city and at night the aroma of their meals wafts through the plaza. They also serve breakfast 24/7 at a decent price, it’s also usually where most of the bar-goers stumble into at 5 in the morning. The complex housing the diner actually used to be a brothel owned by Emillia La Fontaine, one of the three great “witches”.

Family Members:
Father: Otto Puckett, A Pediatrician, works very hard. Loves kids, can not tolerate teenagers. Would do anything for his wife. The most concerned about Rupert in the family, does try to reach out to him every so often but to no avail.
Mother: Zygmunty Puckett, A surgeon, the busiest in the family. Iron Lady, very strict with her kids but does enjoy their company every so often. Loves his husband very much. Has a hard time understanding Rupert, is very upset about him and is also a bit against his homosexuality.
Siblings:
Sister: Hannah Ilyse Puckett, an over-achieving lawyer. Can be very cold and calculating, cares about her family very much. Haven't been in a romantic relationship ever. Is probably the closest Rupert has to a friend in the family at the moment but she is too busy to attend to him. The most emotionally open in the family.
Brother: Hansel Aleph Puckett, 2 years younger than Rupert. A MENSA member. Looks up to his older siblings and respects his parents the most. Values honesty and loves listening to Rupert ramble, but does have trouble reciprocating attention to him. Knows the most about Rupert even though they're not necessarily friends, they tolerate each other if anything. Rupert thinks he's a bit too stuck up and too dogmatic.

History (From Birth to High School Grad):

Rupert's childhood was a bit difficult, having always been stuck in the sidelines because of the middle-child syndrome, he never really felt adequate about his self because his older sister's achievements always overpowered his. It was bearable and simple at first, his parents are naturally fond of kids but being busy doctors with people to save and details to attend, attention has always been lacking. Things just got harder as he grew up and upon realization, he knew he had to fight for the attention and that mediocrity was not a trait his family approves of. There's something fiercely sad about feeling under appreciated by your parents, when that's all you've ever asked for. Pertie was never book-smart and although he never failed classes and sure, he's had some remarkable A's, in the Puckett household that's sub-par and straight A's are just standard. His relationship with his siblings or the lack thereof is something he has been trying to remedy recently and is turning out to be quite a struggle, because apparently some years of being distant is not something you can just fix right away, who'd've thunk?!
Rupert is a boy of many words, he can literally talk for hours on end and has a very good sense of working people into and out of things which is a very helpful skill in his choice of a career. This makes him a bit unbearable for some people, especially those who are fond of the quiet and silence. The boy has become a bit of a compulsive liar. He is the kind of person who would be the first to greet you in a room full of people, the one who would attend to you the moment you enter his proximity; the fact that he talks a lot doesn't mean he forgets to listen though and he does his best to stay observant, sometimes even calculating. Because of his upbringing and being a neglected middle child, Rupert has always thrived and strives for attention. There's this impulse for him to always say what he thinks, even if it's unwarranted. He's a street-smart type of a person, who always feels like he comes up short with the academic intellect and feels very conscious about it.
His need to always be in control of a situation sometimes turns him intimidating and bossy, he's not really that aware of it, his friends are too scared to call him out but he does catch himself sometimes... but barely cares. He hates being on the losing side and has trouble coming to terms with defeat. His being gabby is a sort of defense mechanism, if he doesn't let out words from his mouth, he tends to implode and be antsy. He's easily consumed by his head when left alone, this is why he loves noise and crowds because he can just easily lose himself in the chaos of it all. Although when he does have no choice then he just writes his thoughts down on paper, thus, the odd stories on his notebook; this is to let his thoughts flow somewhere else than let them implode. Pertie is your typical neglected middle child with a rebellious streak striving to be an... almost decent person, or whatever passes as a friend you can call in times of need, for a little exchange sometimes.
Contrasting from his current hyper-sociability, High school was just about as awkward a phase as anyone could have for Pertie; he was still in denial about most of the things about him, mainly his sexuality and then about his mental state, it alienated him from people and social interactions were unbearable. He only kept a few friends, although that's what he tells himself because truth be told, he was hard to be with, people left him and it was not the other way around. He's planning to develop a habit for self-love and eventually come to terms with himself and the state he was in.
With over-achieving siblings, a younger brother aiming to take up medicine and a lawyer as a sister, Pertie's leaning towards the liberal arts is a sort of way to get his parent's attention. Having come to terms with the fact that he can't outsmart his siblings academic-wise, and having skills beyond the books and more on the grits, he's realized that he can beat them in other areas.
Rupert's love for pop culture and the arts has always been a sort of safe haven and it is the one thing that made life more bearable for him so he decided that maybe through that very thing he knows best, he can finally show his parents his worth. He started building a portfolio and a youtube vlog documenting his thoughts and opinions with various multimedia quirks thrown in. He's going to take up Journalism as his major, planning to build up on what he has began. He was determined to do exceedingly well, It's never just a task for Rupert, it's always a competition.
For the first year of uni, his best friend-love-of-his-life and his own little ass rented a little flat to stay in but things are starting to go sour between the two lovebirds... Money has never been a problem because he has rich parents who gives him finances as long as he stays out of their hair and out of trouble so there's that at least. Rupert's psyche is a bit of a mess at this point and he needs to figure his shit out and fast, he can't be leaving home with loose ends and a cluttered head. But you know, there's always uni and schoolwork and a whole shit ton of fun to drown yourself in but oh my god, you're actually feeling very delicate and on edge so big whoop. But you know what, You always figure things out, it's just another thing that happens, it's whatever, grin face, side eye, wink face.
