New Akuma actually looks kinda cool moveset-wise. Now I have to hope in my heart of hearts that Makoto or someone more interesting gets in.

[@Shoryu] I'll concede XvSF and Marvel 1, but the 3v3 format is iconic now. That's not to say I disagree that MvC is typically a mess. Shout outs to "ZOOP ZOOP" Zero.

[@Mr Allen J] The whole situation with the different Marvel properties is a goddamn mess. New MAHVEL being 2v2's already got me worried about the roster.

“Oioioi, who are you callin' pipsqueak?!”

NAME
Murakumo Mikoto

ALIAS
"Mikki" (Hates it), "Young Oneesan"

GENDER
Female

AGE
Twelve

ORIGIN
Konohagakure

RANK
Genin

APPEARANCE
As is typical among the Murakumo clan, young Mikoto is blessed with a head of golden blonde hair and brilliant crimson eyes. Due to the Murakumo's ventures into the realm of fashion, and Mikoto's position as a member of the Murakumo's crafting branch, Mikoto is known to dress rather finely for a ninja. However, most important to her is her cape, which she makes an effort to wear at all times. While Mikoto is by many accounts "cute", and the spitting image of her mother, it is not uncommon to find the young Murakumo affecting some sort of glare. When engaged in combat, Mikoto has a tendency to cover the lower half of her face with a mask.

PERSONALITY & MOTIVATIONS
Headstrong and confident, Mikoto shows hot-bloodedness in spades. Mikoto can be more than a little abrasive, especially when faced with those who underestimate her skills or disrespect her (or her friends) in any way. As one who seeks to prove her skills against others, Mikoto will rarely, if ever, back down from a challenge. As such, she can be a bit of a showoff, never hesitating to throw taunting remarks when she has the upper hand.

While Mikoto has a hard time making friends her own age due to her bluster, she is actually quite doting on those whom she considers her comrades, much as she'll deny it herself. That being said, she gets flustered rather easily by praise, or general displays of affection from others, so she'll often exit such situations to save face if it proves to be too much.

CLAN HISTORY
The Murakumo are a fairly long-standing clan made up of two branches. One of the branches is known as the 'Clothier's Branch", wherein the members focus on the art of sewing and other methods of clothes-making. It is typically the members of this branch that are tasked with sewing and fitting the vestments for the Hokage, and it is seen as one of the highest honors as a member of the clan to be the clothier selected for such a task. While members of the Clothier's Branch do not typically join Konohagakure's shinobi forces, they are still taught Murakumo Clan Ninpo for the sake of self-defense purposes. Complementing this branch is the "Shears' Branch", from which many of the clan's shinobi originate. Among the clan, the two branches are considered equal, with the Clothier's Branch providing the Murakumo with economic power, and the Shears' Branch providing fighting power to the clan and Konohagakure as a whole.

PERSONAL HISTORY
Character history, experiences, and life. Their home life and their academy life is a big plus. Detail as much as desired.

INFLUENCE & RELATIONS
Within your clan and the academy/village.

CHAKRA NATURE
Lightning

SPECIAL TRAITS
A practitioner of Murakumo-ryu Ninpo, a system belonging to the Murakumo Clan said to "Embody the Skies and the Greater Heavens themselves". Divided into Ittoryu (Single-Sword Style), Nitoryu (Two-Sword Style), Shurikenjutsu (Shuriken Techniques) and Itojutsu (Thread Techniques) at the greater level, both the Nitoryu and Ittoryu are further subdivided into three "branches" of skills, with most practitioners pushed to be versed in the use of each:
Yumaiarashi(Heroic Storm): Easily the most straightforward of the branches in theory and execution. Yumaiarashi sword techniques are meant primarily to overwhelm the opponent with speed, never giving them a chance to breathe as the practitioner mounts strike upon strike before they can adequately defend. Many of the more advanced techniques in this tree require one to be versed in the use of Lightning and/or Wind chakra natures.
Kosuizuki(Cunning Moon): Techniques akin more to assassination techniques than straight swordplay. Techniques from the Kosuizuki branch involve misdirection or combining genjutsu with swordplay in order to allow strikes to land true.
Mabushiiyo(Dazzling Sun): Likely tied in sheer straightforwardness with the Yumaiarashi branch techniques, Mabushiiyo sword techniques apply Fire nature chakra to strikes for the express purpose of obliterating an enemy (or several enemies) in a single blow.

As Mikoto is still young, however, she is far from mastering the full range of skills that Murakumo Ninpo has to offer, though she has shown a particular affinity for Yumaiarashi branch skills and shurikenjutsu.

FOCUS & SKILLS
As a member of the Murakumo's Shears' Branch, Mikoto is trained in the arts of Kenjutsu, Shurikenjutsu and Ninja Wires. As such, Mikoto tends to prefer melee ranges, supplementing her swordplay with smart use of ninja tools.

@Thecrash20 - Nagasaki Hitori

Smirking, Senhime simply cleaved through the tiny fireball on reaction, the sheath of chakra coating the wooden blade preventing it from getting burned. "Ara ara~. Looks like Ria-chan's going to step up to the plate, hm?" she thought, casually readying herself. The horned kunoichi raised an eyebrow as Ria approached, noting the change to a single-sword style, particularly one with the third sword in her possession. It was perhaps a smart choice, given the apparent length of the blade, wreathed in fire as it was. As Ria approached at high speed, Senhime simply walked up to meet her. Smiling somewhat slyly at the young kunoichi, Senhime rotated to the side slightly, hiding the length of her blade before unleashing four strikes in rapid succession as she spun around, intent on passing Ria by as each strike landed. Two at each of her wrists to get her to drop her sword into the sand, and two more at the back of the knees as Senhime rotated behind her to get her to drop down. Without bothering to stop and survey the results of her strikes, Senhime leapt off of the ground and into a string setup above her and Ria. The strand bowed as Senhime made contact, before the elastic silk bounced back, launching Senhime like a slingshot towards Tenshi, the culprit of the fireball. Holding her wooden sword in a reverse grip, once Senhime reached Tenshi, she slid along the ground, placing the "blunt" end of the training weapon against the genin's neck as she swept a leg back into his knees, potentially making him do a full backflip before landing prone on the ground. "Ara ara~. You guys really are a handful, you know that? What do you say to us putting this off for a little later? I'd say you guys have expended just about enough energy on this exercise today. You'll need your rest for the mission we've got coming up." she crooned, resting the bokuto on her shoulder.

"There's no shame in not succeeding today. In fact, I apologize for even having posed such a challenge under the current time constraints." she added, pondering whether or not the mission contact would've waited for them the whole time this training exercise was happening.
@Thecrash20 Just figured I'd ask to make 100% sure, but are you still in this, pal? No hard feelings if you do intend to drop, but I'd like a conclusive answer at least. If it's just writer's block or being busy, that's fine, but a heads up would be nice.

@Thecrash20 - Nagasaki Hitori

The horned kunoichi was almost beginning to feel bad for the trio. With Tenshi squirming in the dirt and covered in silk, Ria having wasted chakra on a big technique at the start of the exercise, and Hitori still caught up in whatever machinations he was dreaming up, it was clear that the three were still somewhat disorganized despite having gathered to plan earlier. With a sigh, Senhime leapt down from her perch, landing gracefully with wooden sword in hand. "Ara ara~. Perhaps my excitement over having a new team led me to get a little overzealous, no? I'll make this a little easier. Even if for no other reason than to end this quickly. You're all going to need some rest after all." she chimed, holding her wooden blade out in front of her. As Ria was wielding a pair of proper swords, particularly those which she could flow fire nature chakra through, Senhime figured it wouldn't hurt to add a little oomph to her own weapon. As chakra flowed along the surface of her bokuto, Senhime beckoned to Ria as a sign of challenge, swordswoman to swordswoman.

"Come on, then~. Let's see if you kids' final moves will impress me." she chimed, winking at the three. Perhaps at least one of them could find it in their heart to free Tenshi for the generous opportunity she'd provided them, but it was abundantly clear that Ria at least preferred using her individual skills to teamwork. Considering the fact that Hitori was the one to initially call them together to make a plan, and even now appeared to be carefully weighing his options, it was clear that the young man would be who they'd have to lean on in terms of tactics when she wasn't around. Still as green as any genin, what Tenshi lacked in skill and experience could be made up for with his determination. Even bound by silk, the young Uchiha was still trying to wrestle out of his bindings and boost team morale. While it was clear that today's first mission was probably going to go a bit rough, surely she'd be able to iron some of the kinks out when they had proper time to train.

Widening her stance, Senhime used her off-hand to grasp the bokuto's surface, taking a position that appeared as if she was using the closed ring of her hand to act as the opening of a scabbard. With a serene smile, Senhime stared the three down, prepared to counter all strikes to the best of her ability.
What are we doing with team wildcard? We still are waiting for crash to post to continue what we were doing there right?

Correct. Though, if I don't see a post from him some time tomorrow, I'll probably just try and move Team Wildcard forward.

Tiger of Konoha
En route to assist Team Konoha

@Hillan - Shimodaruma Reisei
@Angel Eyes - Oichi Tsubaki
@Raijinslayer - Yoshida Shizuka

Hotsuma kept mostly silent as the three behind him shared information on their individual abilities. Though, he couldn't help but wince a bit at Reisai's tone when it came to the young man's assessment of his own abilities. "Tough crowd, huh?" Hotsuma thought, noting that a whopping two out of three in the squad didn't exactly seem to take kindly to him. Though, he could hardly blame Kiyoshi at least. And while he would have liked to believe that his little years-long globetrotting "vacation" was done with the greatest of intentions, he knew saying as much would fall on deaf ears. After all, he'd come back empty-handed after four years of being gone. Showing up in Konoha after all of that time with nothing to show for it but a five million ryo fine definitely wasn't a good look. And, to top it all off, Hotsuma hadn't even been there for his own brother's rites.

It certainly didn't help that he was now taking them on an obviously dangerous mission. And certainly one that was more than a little beyond Kiyoshi's paygrade at the moment. Grabbing a branch and vaulting, Hotsuma landed and seamlessly kicked off of another branch in quick succession. He was trying as hard as he could to pace himself at the moment, still getting used to the idea of having a team at his back again. "Uh… Alright. I know that I might not seem too trustworthy at the moment, but bear with me. It's gonna take a little bit of time for me to get used to shinobi life again, but I'm gonna try my damnedest to make sure you get outta this mess in one piece." he remarked, peeking back over his shoulder. The dossier Mawari had slapped together for him to read yesterday had informed him of their abilities beforehand, but the catch-up earlier was a nice little refresher. With two shinobi practicing medical ninjutsu on the team, they'd make an effective rescue crew. And should Kiyoshi manage to improve on his archery and sealing abilities, he'd soon prove to be an effective source of cover fire while they accomplished the task. The boy may have been down on himself, but he was far from useless even now. Perhaps one of the other two would be able to show him that, however, as Kiyoshi almost certainly didn't want to hear it from him.

"We might encounter some heavy resistance if the Kumo guys managed to get word back to any potential reinforcements, so be on the lookout. If you guys can help it, I'd prefer if you didn't need to engage the enemy right now, but if it comes down to it, know that I'll have your back. I'll remind you, though, that our primary focus is getting Mawa- …. Lady Hokage and her squad out of there." he added, grey eyes watching the three of them before he once again turned ahead, picking up the pace just slightly.
Edited the post to reflect the roster change, then.

@Raijinslayer - Uzumaki Kiyoshi

"Five million ryo…. I guess it serves me right, but that doesn't really make it hurt any less."

After four years he was finally back in Konohagakure, though perhaps not exactly in the fashion he would've liked. Having been stopped by Konoha shinobi while mulling over the merits of returning of his own free will, Hotsuma had surrendered willfully, unwilling to harm his fellow countrymen after so long spent away. While he should've expected it due to his rather abrupt appearance all those years back, being court martialed wasn't exactly a pleasant experience. And five million ryo? Perhaps it was better than incarceration or execution, but it certainly seemed like he'd be slaving away for quite a while to properly pay the hefty fine off. There was some small comfort in the fact that he was allowed the position of jounin in order to earn money, but it all seemed rather abrupt. He hadn't even been back for a whole day yet when they shoved a uniform at him and had him meet with a squad. It was an awkward start, as Hotsuma had never been terribly good with introductions, but at the very least he'd gotten to know all of their names. It was a lot at once, frankly. Hell, Mawari was Hokage. With that in mind, he hadn't neglected to see how the Second, his former master, was doing after the war. And while it pained him somewhat to see what the war had done to the man, it was good to catch up.

It certainly did him good after he'd received news about the death of his older brother. Taken by sickness. While on the one hand it may have been better than a violent death at the hands of enemy shinobi, Hotsuma couldn't help but feel ashamed. He and Madarame had promised to see each other after war's end, yet neither of them were able to hold to their word. But the blame lay purely on Hotsuma. If he hadn't decided to desert, he could've at least been there at Madarame's side when he passed. He could've kept his word. While Hidorama and Kureha were glad to have their youngest son back, Hotsuma decided that he'd rather not live within the walls of the Senju compound. That being said, Hotsuma had managed to acquire a home shortly after his arrival, and while it wasn't the most comfortable, it was something he could live with.

Hotsuma didn't have anything of note lined up today due to a lack of a mission assignment, but that didn't mean he still didn't want to break in the new uniform a little bit more. It felt a bit odd being back in a flak jacket, or even wearing a forehead protector, after all the time that had passed. But soon enough he'd get over it. He'd certainly have to if he was ever going to pay off that five million ryo, that much was for sure. He had been considering calling the squad together to run some drills when he heard a figure dropped down into his line of sight, immediately putting him on the defensive. "What the he-..." Mawari? No. Despite initially being startled by the sudden appearance of the woman in his home, it quickly became apparent that this figure wasn't the Hokage herself, but a mere clone. What in the world was she doing all the way out in Kumogakure? With a pair of chunin and a genin no less? "Well, I can't exactly ignore that now, can I?" Hotsuma muttered, sighing as he exited his house. Mawari always knew how to lay it on thick, but putting responsibility for three kids' death on his shoulders? That was pretty heavy. Well, no helping it. Breaking into a quick sprint, he raced off to find the members of his squad and gather them for the impromptu mission that had been thrust upon them….

Just Outside Konohagakure

"Alright, well…. I already gave you guys the rundown on why I snatched you up, but I figure I should make some things clear. You are not to speak of this mission to anyone. If anyone knows the Hokage was out screwing around in Kumo territory, it'd cause one hell of a mess. Second off, keep sharp. I just met you guys, so I'd rather not have to tell your parents I let you get yourself killed on my first day as your squad leader, alright? Reisei. Tsubaki. Hopefully our comrades won't have gotten themselves terribly injured by the time we arrive, but if they do… You know the drill. Kiyoshi, you do what you do best. Best case scenario is that they have the Kumo-nin mopped up by the time we get there. But if not, I wanna see your A-game from all of you. Lady Hokage may only have one eye, but it'll be plenty to watch the four of us with." Hotsuma explained, flashing the team an "OK" sign before turning on his heel.

"Try to keep up. We're gonna need to fire on all cylinders for this one."
And with that, the Tiger of Konoha and Team Wanderer were off to assist the Hokage and company, and hopefully avoid a full-on international incident while they were at it….
@buddhaAre we completely out matched? Or is it just we are outnumbered.

I mean, as far as the Kumo-nin would be inclined to believe, it'd be both.
