"Come on wake up!!" "Yeah, wake up already!!" "Wake up, wake up wake up!!!" "You're going to be late!!" It was this chorus of young voices that Al was awoken to. It wouldn't have been so bad if the chanting wasn't accompanied by an onslaught of tiny hands and feet pelting his massive frame.
"Alright, alright, I'm awake, I'm awake!! The once slumbering giant said as he let out a hearty laugh and sat up from his bed. Wiping the sleep from his eyes Al was greeted with the site of a half dozen of his foster brothers and sisters all still clambering all over his bed, their excitement practically resonating off of them.
"How are you going to sleep in on your first day of hero school!?!" One them exclaimed, throwing his hands up in exasperation. Al couldn't help but chuckle as he climbed out of bed, stretching as he did so.
"Miko, I still have hours before I have to be at the academy." Al said softly, patting the boy know as Miko on the head. The rest of the group started chiming in with similar statements not long after, all along the lines of them being worried that Al won't make it on time for school and would end up loosing his chance of attending the academe.
"Guys, guys like I said I have hours before I have to show up. Besides if I had left already who would make you all pancakes?" Al said with a playful raise of his brow and opening the door to his room, the last part of his statement getting a cheer from the kids who then bolted out of the room and towards the kitchen.
A few minutes later Al found himself covered and coated in pancake batter as he finished up the last batch, victoriously flipping them onto the stack that stood next to him on the counter.
"Alright gang, batters up!!" He said with a practical earth shaking laugh at his own joke, which was only matched by the collective groans from all of his foster siblings who were sitting at the table. Once he was able to recover from his own hilarity Al began dishing out the pancakes, which created a cacophony of squeals and cheers from the kids. Once he had placed the last flapjack Al took a seat at the table and began wiping some of the batter off of himself using the floral print apron he was wearing. He couldn't help but dawn a small smile as he watched the children eat, this was one of his favorite parts of the day, but it was a bitter sweet moment for him seeing as it would be quite some time before he would get to do it again. Al wanted nothing more than to go to Chihaiten, but it meant that he was going to miss out on moments like this. Luckily Al was able to push those melancholy feelings aside and enjoy the now, though the extra large pancake he left for himself may have also had a role in that.
It wasn't too long after that they all finished their meals and Al had the kids go wash up and change for school, like always it his request was answered with a collective grimace but was done none the less. Al himself washed the dishes and changed himself into a much more presentable attire, though he himself may have preferred his apron. He waited by the front door as his siblings one by one emerged from their rooms dressed in their school uniforms.
"Come on guys, don't want to be late do we?" He said just in time to have his last sibling join the rest of the group. With a huge grin he ushered them out of the house and began walking them down the street to their school, though that was easier said than done seeing as half of his siblings were using him as a jungle gym while the others were racing each other to the four corners of the earth, al couldn't help but let out a lite sigh. He managed to wrangle the children well enough to get them to the entrance of their school. Al then freed himself from his siblings death-grips and got down on one knee to be at eye level.
"Okay guys you know I won't be home for awhile so you are going to have to be extra nice to Miss Hanami alright?" He said before he opened his arms wide which prompted an almost stamped level of hugs from the kids.
"And don't worry I will tell all the teachers I meet that you guys are going to be the next great hero students to come to the school." He added, tightening his hug slightly before releasing the kids. He watched them walk into a school house, giving his youngest sister a reassuring wave when she turned around to him on final time.
"Don't worry, what could possibly go wrong?"-------------------------------
"CRAP! CRAP! CRAP! CRAP! CRAP!" Al stammered aloud as he launched himself out of the bus he had been riding for the past few hours. It turns out that his siblings were right about him running late on his first day of school, much to his dismay. The combination of him double checking his packing, cleaning up his room, and a rather teary eyed good bye to his foster mother Miss Hanami Al found himself a bit behind schedule. All of this was only worsened by the fact that his bus was caught up in some of the worst traffic that the lad had ever seen. Al couldn't help but mentally kick himself as he bobbed and weaved through the crowd of people that cluttered the streets.
"SORRY!! EXCUSE ME!! PARDON ME!! ICE WILL HELP WITH THAT!!! He exclaimed as his bulky form caused him to bump and clash with a whole plethora of people as he hurried his way through the crowd. The young man's practical bulldozing of the general public though eventually paid off as he ended up right at the entrance point of the up and coming Chihaiten Academy. Though Al's excitement was barely contained he wasn't done yet, he had to actually figure out where he was suppose to be. Luckily for him he was able to catch the tail end of some students heading into what he assumed was an auditorium. That was good enough for Al and it wasn't even a moment later that he rocketed himself into the room. He was meet by the sight of rows upon rows of other students all chatting and by the looks of it he hadn't missed anything.
"YES, I MADE IT!!" He exclaimed before he threw his arms into the air in victory.
"WOOHOO!!" He bellowed before he dawned a giant grin on his face and began searching for a seat.
