Bio

I have been role playing for a good fifteen or so years, and am very open to everything. 1x1, casual, advanced. I usually don't make the posts, but I am very active in them. Role playing is my outlet.

You all know I'm here. Medicated, but here.

The light under the door was foreboding. At this rate, they could literally find anything at all beyond the solid door. Where Bunny and Florian okay? Or were they too late? Zara knew if she tried to reach out to feel their mind, the protection spell would break and the spirit would once again try to invade her thoughts. She didn't want to chance it. She had extreme confidence in her partners; Bunny was the best at what she did. They all were, or they wouldn't have been recruited into the ORO.

As Emory's words broke through her muffled haze, she cleared her throat and nodded in his direction. She couldn't help squeezing onto his hand for more reassurance. Usually she was quick to locate the source of their problem with just simply reading a few minds- this house was definitely getting to her. It was a problem she had never faced before, nor had she ever heard about. It was completely new territory and without the comfort of her talent, Zara felt useless. All she could do now was provide comfort to the frightened little girl, and to make sure that everybody left the house in one piece. How she was going to do the last part, she wasn't sure of at all. But she had to try.

She knew their leader felt the same when she heard the staggered breath pouring from him before he turned the knob. Emory was preparing himself for his final battle. The thought tore at her, which caused her hand to tighten around his even more. Thankfully, the door opened to the sight of their friends. Giving a quick grin, she nodded in their direction before she realized her protection spell had broken. She took a shaky breath and looked around the room. Bunny's words cut through her and she squeezed her eyes shut to steady her mind. Zara was not going to be a willing participant in anything the spirit was planning.

Once she was sure that nothing, at least for the moment, would be able to invade her thoughts, her eyes slowly reopened as Emory explained his theory. It definitely made sense that a Sluagh was what they were facing; Zara had heard plenty about them, but never endured one before. She was absolutely sure that she wanted this one instance to be her last with this nasty creature.

Her thoughts were mirrored when Bunny spoke. It surprised her on some level, especially since she wasn't peering into anyone's mind. It felt weird for her to be on the same level with somebody else.

And in another instant, her thoughts were once again on Emory. On the unknowing path ahead of them at the end of the corridor. Her eyes glanced over at the little girl and it tore at her heart. No child should have to be going through the complete terror that she was facing. She took a breath before looking back at Emory. Squeezing his hand once more, she nodded slightly. "Let's slime this Sluagh."
"Mom, have you seen my shoes? Mom?"

Hurrying out from her bedroom, Haven blinked at the sound of an empty house. Had her parents already left for the day? Seriously? "Mom? Dad? Hellooooo?" She continued to make her way through the three thousand square foot house in search of them. With a scoff, she peeked into their room and found their daily belongings were gone. Well, so much for them saying goodbye. She really shouldn't have been surprised- her parents were hardly around.

She shook her head again and started peeking through her mother's things. Seeing a couple twenty-dollar bills sitting on the dresser, Haven gave a small smirk and snatched them up. Obviously the money wasn't very important if her mother could have just left it behind so carelessly. Stuffing the bills into the back pocket of her jean capris, she hurried back out to the living room. She was about to give up on her black sandals when she noticed them sticking out from underneath the coffee table. Groaning, she rolled her eyes. Her mother was constantly using her things and never putting them back where she originally had them. She so couldn't wait to have her own place.

With a final look at herself in the mirror- solid purple t-shirt, dark jean capris, and her hair and makeup all set, she grabbed her keys and book bad before heading out to her car. The junior received the purple Volkswagen Beetle for her sixteenth birthday and it was her most prized possession. She quickly backed out of the driveway before sending a text to her group of friends, letting them know she was on her way.
Okay...now I posted. Sorry if it kinda seems all over the place. Still medicated at the moment.
Rachelle

So much had happened in a small window of time. All it literally took was one moment. One scream of panic- absolute terror, in fact, before all hell broke loose on their small town. One short, cut off, staggered scream. The world as they knew it fell completely apart.

Working at the skate shop had proved useful for her over the years. Not only did Rachelle continue to practice her skill, but she was able to make valuable contacts that she knew she could use in the future. She had her eyes set on the next X Games- they would be in town within the next few months. Nothing would make her deviate from that plan, even her big sister. Especially not her big sister. Even though the women had found common ground over the last few years, they still were often at odds with each other. All Rebecca would talk about is her little sister finally getting a real job and finding a man, settling down, blah blah blah.

There was no way in hell that was happening anytime soon. Chelle hadn't even thought of a man in a romantic sense since she had been a young teenager in high school- and that relationship turned out to be nothing but a headache. She had decided to swear off men and just reign in all her energy for her ultimate goal of champion. That didn't stop Becca from pestering, though.

And she continued to pester all the way from her extended trip.. Every few minutes it was Will this and Will that. It quickly turned nauseating. It almost made her eternally grateful to hear that her sister's visa was up and she had to come back home without the annoying sidearm. It was sad to think, but Rachelle was almost looking forward to her sister's heart being broken- maybe then she wouldn't want to talk about the annoying male species. Unfortunately, the complete opposite happened. Her big sister talked non-stop about the 'lovely gent' and how she had wished that he had followed her back to Canada. Becca had never seemed happier, and Rachelle secretly loathed her for it.

It's funny how in the blink of an eye, all the useless thoughts in your head that you had previously thought so dire, were suddenly so incredibly dumb and unimportant.

It had been weeks since the first outbreak was seen in their hometown. After Rebecca had thrown herself into the shop to grab her sister, they had both taken off together to try to find shelter. Their own apartment complex had already been cornered off; there was no going back to their belongings. All they had left was what they each had on them. A letter opener from the shop, a nail file just because...Useless items. If they had been better prepared, she could have prevented anything bad from happening to them. She could have saved them from becoming just like the infected. So many things she could have done if she had just paid attention.

And so it was that they were hiding out in an abandoned apartment complex. It had been the first place they could think of going that probably wouldn't have very many people near it. Becca wanted to try to find other survivors; Rachelle wanted to tough it out on their own. They didn't need anyone other than themselves. How stupid she had been. How stupid she had been to allow her only sibling to try to find some supplies on her own. How stupid she had been to have just watched her only sibling been bitten by one of them and done nothing to try to help her. How stupid.

She didn't even notice the man who had found Rebecca and put her out of her misery.

Her thoughts were muffled by a loud, heart-wrenching scream. Took several moments before she realized that the sound was coming from her very own lungs.
