Bio
Long timer roleplayer, been at it for... god, almost 15 years now all told. Hasn't been all sunshine and roses, but I like to think I've improved somewhat steadily as time has gone on.
I generally like to play older characters, or at least toward the higher end of an age range. Also, just about all of my characters are caring and protective in some capacity, even the rare meanie that I make.
I play a mixture of male and female characters. I myself am a guy.
Generally speaking I try to post at least once per week.
Just to clear everything up if it hasn’t been already. Any user-created Justus/moves needs a GM approval by either myself or Kurisa. Please let us know if you’re going to be creating things.
Now, being that this RP is based on an anime, cutting through trees and boulders isn’t a problem. I don’t want anyone getting to too heated of discussion, not saying you two were. As long as they are classified under a rank that is available to your character, feel free to learn and use them. If they’re not ranked, you can always seek out the GMs to have a discussion about their ranking.
Now, to the subject of posting order, I would like to keep them how they are. That way, things are a bit more organized. I do apologize for anyone that is having to wait. I appreciate your eagerness, but do understand that not everyone is available to post all the time. Have some patience and I’m sure it will be rewarded.
That’s all. Back to your regularly scheduled programming folks~
Noted. I'll draft up the techs and run them by you when I get around to thinking of them, but I think I'd like to have Kanzaki attain some form of Flying Swallow to start, even if it's a less powerful version since Flying Swallow is B-Rank according to the wiki. Beyond that, the most ahead I've thought is some stuff in the same vein as Crescent Moon Dance and attacking in tandem with dopplegangers. But I'll be sure to let you know as I think of things!
"Works for me," Alexander said as he accepted the items, "See you there!"
And with that he was bounding back upstairs. Based on the request he'd been given he presumed Kade and Eleanor would see to any immediate lighting needs on the ground floor, so he continued to the grand staircase and kept going up to the 3rd floor. He actually stuffed the lighter into his pocket, preferring to rely on the matches to light the small candles in the halls. He went up to each door, knocked briefly, and if nobody answer stepped in and quietly placed some candles on the nightstand between the two beds, let them, and left. Sometimes there was an answer, in which case he handed the occupants the candles and a match, told them to light them, and then meet in the dining hall. Sometimes he got some odd looks or lip service from the occupants, but he shrugged it off in turn. They were all a little mad here, even if the Logic kids didn't want to admit it.
It took him some time to do all of the 3rd floor, but from there he headed back downstairs and kept right on going.
The one move is a trump card. They cant block with anything short of a truth seeking orb... So as long as you can hit them you can kill them, and remember youre on a team with a Nara... I think youll do just fine
Uhh... the one time the move was used, the target suffered a minor injury and then killed the guy who did it (Dance of the Crescent Moon, it was used by Hayato against Gaara's Jonin way back in Chunnin Exams)
EDIT: Essentially what I was getting at was "Since only one thing has been shown, it's up to me to come up with supplementary stuff." Which is fine, I'm plenty creative enough for it and I knew what I was getting into, I was just saying that's my bag here.
@Tsukai Well, I'm going for that technique because it's a core point in making anything else I have ideas for. I actually have a bit of an open field, since Konoha sword technique only had 1 move get shown very early on, all the other techniques are Samurai, Mist Ninja, or Sasuke's personal stuff and none of that would make sense for Kanzaki to know or ever learn.
• Bio: Lucia was always taught that the blood of heroes ran in her veins. Her family has a long history of military service, dating all the way back to the Napoleonic Wars, culminating in her Great Grandfather earning a rank of Commander in the Legion of Honor during the Second World War. Being told of the family history in her childhood did much to inspire her to follow suit. And when it so happened that she benefited from the effects of the Second Genesis, she saw her chance to do so... were it not for one problem.
That problem was her latent ability. It allowed her to generate energy from herself, but not in any way that was useful. And it seemed no amount of personal practice would be changing that. Given this, it seemed to Lucia her chances of gaining entrance to any academy was slim and none. In her disappointment, however, her childhood friend who had a gift for research and development approached her and her family with an idea; he had designs on a device that could utilize Lucia's ability as a power source and shape it into powerful tools that would enable her to follow the path she wanted. It took some pleading from Lucia herself, but eventually her friend was given permission, not to mention a large chunk of cash, to develop a prototype. Mercifully, it worked as planned, and with it in hand Lucia was off to pursue acceptance into the academy.
Combat Info
• Psychic Drive: Lucia's drive allows her to generate and project a form of energy similar to that used by beam weapons, but on her own it is spread so thinly and disperses so easily that it only registers as light radiation and cannot be used for much. With the help of her Armament, however... • Armament: Maltet- Less of a weapon and more of a support device, Lucia's Armament is a set of armor (shown in her picture) and a sword hilt that act as both limiters and an array of focusing irises for her ability; when active, they compress and confine the energy she projects into usable formats. With the help from Maltet she's able to use her ability to deploy barriers for protection, booster flares for bursts of speed, and a powerful beam saber for striking her enemies.
• Extra: Lucia's Theme Lucia is taller than most women, standing 6'0" Her Drive burns calories like nobody's business when in use, which leads to her being a big eater and keeping her shape without really trying.
• Sample Post:
"Lucia, are you sure you're ready? There may not be any going back after this..."
Javert's concerned voice came through the intercom of the test chamber as Lucia finished adjusting the devices he'd presented to her. His worrying was sweet, really. It made her smile to know he cared about her. But there was something that needed doing here. "Javert," she replied, "I've been waiting for this moment for six months, if you try to find an excuse to stop it now I'll pummel you!"
"Ack!" he exclaimed, "Okay, okay! But remember it's just a prototype, so if you feel anything, and I mean ANYTHING not going right or you feel like you're in danger, we're stopping this immediately! I don't want you to-"
"You don't want me to get hurt," she cut in, "Yes yes I know, and that's adorable. I'll hug you for it when I step out there after a successful test. Now let's go!"
"Oh alright. I'm going to unlock the power supply so they start powering themselves..."
"Wait, I thought they were supposed to use my ability for power?"
"They will, but that's the part I already know I can do. I'm not adding it until I know the rest of the array works correctly. Hold still, I'm flipping the switch now..."
Shortly thereafter the audible humming of a generator stirring to life filled the room. Lucia turned her head to look at the cables that fell down from the items she wore and snaked along the floor, as if expecting to see the electricity flow through them to the devices. They were clunky and sat awkwardly on her form, not to mention they were heinously ugly. Like giant chunks of scrap metal that had been beaten into shape. Javert had made profuse assurances under her skeptical glare that the final product would look the part and that this was just to see if the function was viable, but she had her doubts.
Finally the humming settled in and the intercom activated again. "Okay," her childhood friend said, "We're green across the board. For start, just activate your ability, and we'll go from there."
"Okay," she replied, steadying her breathing and closing her eyes, "Here goes."
Lucia was intimately familiar with how her power felt. When she was releasing it, it felt as if bursts of heat were echoing off of her form into the surrounding air. She remembered hating the feeling. Hating it because for all its bluster and heat, it was ultimately worthless for nearly anything. And as she gently willed it to come out again, she fully expected the dreadful heat to come right back, same as always. And for a brief moment, it did just that- before abruptly stopping. Lucia opened her eyes in surprise and looked at the devices in awe. They too were starting to hum, and some lights along the side were now glowing a bluish green color.
"Lucia!" Javert called, "Is everything alright?!"
"Fine!" she cried back excitedly, "Better than fine! Everything's wonderful!"
"Great! Okay, I'm going to walk you through some things, we're going to see if everything works..."
Roughly an hour later she was leaving the chamber, exhausted with a small burn on one arm but otherwise unharmed. Javert met her at the door with a sandwich, a glass of water, and a chair to sit down in. "Sorry about that bit at the end," he said, "I didn't realize the energy build-up would be that intense. But I have an idea for how to handle it that I think you're going to like!"
"Oh?" Lucia replied between bites of food, "And what might that be?"
@KoL Worth noting because I often use a -booru for picture hunting; they don't allow you to link directly to their images. You can see it through your link because of some weird shenanigans, but all the rest of us get is a 403 Error. You'd have to copy them to a more open-hosting image site like imgur to do so.
Kanzaki stood quietly in the hall while the rest of her classmates milled about, dealing with the post-graduation emotions in various ways. Some talked amongst themselves, others shuffled about nervously, at least one person did a little dance, surprisingly not Mai, and were those two over there playing Jankenpon? She shook her head slowly. Not that it mattered much to her. Everybody had their own means of coping, and as long as they worked who was she to deride them?
Soon enough they were all being led into the Hokage's office, and one by one the various students presented themselves. Tsukai started off, followed shortly by Shikkaru and them Mai, bowing and introducing themselves one by one. She was next, she realized as Mai was wrapping up. Breathe Kanzaki, she thought to herself, It's no different than introducing yourself to anybody else of authority. You have nothing to worry about.
"Greetings my Lord," she said smoothly with a bow, "My name is Kanmura Shizak-"
She froze mid-sentence. She misspoke her own name! Ruby embarrassment flooded her cheeks, and she heard at least one of her classmates chuckle at her expense.
"Err, that is, Shimura Kanzaki. My apologies, Lord Hokage."
In my defense, back in the concept phase I'd been planning a Linker or Striker before 2 or 3 others expressed interest in Linker alone so I changed tracks. It just happens that there's been a number of new Strikers while I've been working.
If it's overboard I can switch over. It'll be a different character idea entirely, but I'm fine doing it.
