@hatakekuroA nice lunch always calmed the nerves after escaping from a wolf souped up on steroids and the nearly drowning was especially fun. Flipping through the papers, glossing over any tidbits and stories that seemed interesting while sipping milk.
A sudden need to itch his nose; an action that very well saved his hand from being blasted off. For the table and a quarter of the house he was in got blasted away by some non-visible force which very nearly knocked him from the chair. His body and the chair settled back into place, the table getting blasted away the last thing he saw before a dust cloud obscured his vision. The blast itself was the least of his worries after hearing the oh too familiar snarl of scruffy and by the sound of the second one, had brought its friend.
Just one took all he had to escape, two was utterly impossible and yet the presence between them that had his attention. One that he and everyone else felt earlier shortly before this man's attempted execution.
The dust soon settled to reveal both bear sized wolves growling, eager to pounce at him at any given notice. One word is all it took and his life was forfeit and still he would prefer taking them on compared to their master, who's presence threaten to crush the life out of him, as if a massive mountain sprouted from the ground a mere few feet from him. Impassable and indestructible...there stood the pinnacle..the very height of both strength and power that most sought after and this unstoppable force had come knocking at the door, which cleaved everything in its path to dust.
And here he thought this was a bad day; now it might be his worst...and last. Whether he would leave this encounter alive depended on choosing his words wisely for this man could kill him with a mere glance and that left him the only option of giving him his due respect and to speak nothing but truth. Lies..his most reliable weapon, utterly useless against Fenrir.
Struggling with what to say until he cleared his throat and raised a finger.'Ah sorry but the Hendersons moved out a week ago.'Letting out a chuckle; a small joke to break the tension.'Not at all..in fact I was just about finished.'Looking for a place to put the glass down and just decided to place it on the floor then stood up, dusting off his jacket.'I would invite you to join me for a meal but...'Taking a quick glance around the missing kitchen.'Well its not my place so no harm done.'Shaking his head while taking a few steps towards him.
His movement only caused the wolves to growl anew at him, making him stop a good couple steps from the man. Even at this distance he could feel Fenrir's overwhelming presence; like an tiny ant standing next to a huge giant, an analogy he hated referring himself to but it was the truth.'First..I'd like to say its an honor to meet the world renown yonkou, Fenrir.'A slight bow of his head to show his respect then motioned his hand towards the one who chased him earlier.'Secondly, to the wolf giving me the death glare. I wish to apologize for the whole glass in the eye business..it was a desperate situation and little options left me.'This time a slight bow of his head to the one he called scruffy due to not knowing the wolf's real name.
It took all he had to keep a calm, brave face for he refused to show weakness or cowardice; both to avoid risk of angering him and more to keep his pride.
