Tzipporah Rashid

Tzipporah chuckled at the man's suggestion that she was a "glutton for punishment." Tattoos didn't really phase her unless she were to get one on her ribs or feet or somewhere like that. She glanced back at the bartender who was begrudgingly wiping up a spill at the far end of the counter. Swiveling her bar chair back around towards the strange man, she noticed he seemed a bit. . . child like. She couldn't decide if it was a little concerning, or amusing. 'I guess I'll find out then won't I?' "Well my full name is Tzipporah Rashid, however I do like nicknames sometimes. Maybe the more times you run into me, you might get an idea for one." She smirked and cocked her head playfully, insinuating that he may run into her more often than he had previously thought.

Remembering what the bartender had said about their time limit, Tzipporah hopped off her bar stool, while glancing in the direction of the man behind the counter to make sure he wasn't looking. Making sure her new friend was paying attention, she smirked at him and stealthily snagged 2 hard ciders from behind the counter. "Our time's up! You better follow me if you wanna keep that handsome face of yours!" She then walked briskly out of the bar and rounded the corner towards her spot on top of the stacked boxes. There was something about high spaces that made her feel. . . safer.

'Metal benches are not the best support system for your lower back'
Tzipporah thought, sitting up, as an aching pain traveled up from her sciatic nerve all the way up into the back of her neck. She flinched and Osiris nuzzled her hand in a comforting gesture. As she sat up, she noticed the bar nearby was suddenly filling up. There had been next to no one in there just a short while ago. 'So 3pm is when all the drinkers come out here, eh? Good to know.' People watching was one of Tzipporah's favorite things to do; she loved knowing why people did they things they did, and how other's minds worked. Because she had always been so different, she enjoyed getting inside someone else's head instead of her own every once in a while. Motioning for Osiris to follow her, she decided to get a little closer to the action; or at least within sight and earshot.

On her way towards the bar, she passed another deviant holding a cloth over his face, next to a smaller boy, whom she assumed was either his friend or a little sibling. 'They don't look so good. . . Do I have anything that could be of help? Oh, yeah!' Without saying a word, she approached the bench they were sitting on, while motioning for Osiris to keep his distance, as to no scare the younger boy. Crouching down, she unzipped her backpack and rooted around until she found small bottle of water and sat it down next to boy with the cloth over his eye. "This should help the swelling. And I'm sure it will clean off some of that dirt too. Not good for infections." Standing up and letting a light smile through her lips, she carried on her way, and Osiris followed with one huge bound and landed by her side. Now being within sight of the open door of the bar, she could clearly see there was some sort of commotion going on inside. A rather attractive man was being held at gunpoint, for what reason she could not imagine. 'What could HE possibly have done other than make other men jealous?' I wonder if I could redirect some of the emotions in here?'

Tzipporah glanced down at Osiris and whispered for him to return to her skin. She braced herself for the shock that always came with a 400 pound cat literally jumping into your body. As he melded with her skin once again, she lost her footing and caught herself with one hand and a knee. Getting her bearings again, she sauntered through the door of the bar and sat herself down at the seat right in between the bartender holding the gun and the attractive deviant. "Why don't we put that gun down and do this the civilized way, shall we? We aren't what people say we are, don't you know? Why act like it?" She chuckled to herself as she smirked at the bartender, then turned around and winked at the man standing behind her. "Take a seat, I don't bite; most of the time."
@moomin

So is this summer school then? Considering you mentioned the summer and the 2 characters are working on a project?
Tzipporah Rashid

Age:
27

Gender:
Female

Appearance:
Tzipporah is a slim, dark skinned woman with hazel eyes and long, wavy, black hair, which is usually down but when she is doing something that requires speed and/or urgency, she puts it up into a bun. She is normally dressed in heeled combat boots, thick well fitting sweatpants (must have deep pockets), and one of the many well fitting t shirts she has. Her makeup is minimal because she is naturally beautiful; she wears only mascara and a classic smokey eye eyeshadow which must be perfect for her to keep her sanity. The most important thing regarding her appearance is the gold bracelet her father gave her when she was a girl. She never takes it off and it means the world to her. She keeps her father with her wherever she goes.

Abilities:
Tzipporah’s abilities depend completely on her tattoos. As of right now, she has a tattoo of a jaguar on her lower back and a tarantula on her wrist. Whatever creature she has tattooed on her body she is able to summon. In regards to animals such as insects which are known to swarm, when summoning them, it will be a swarm or vast quantity. In regards to other, larger animals which are solitary, they will be summoned as solitary. The summoning ability goes into effect as soon as her tattoo heals completely. She cannot use her power unless the tattoo is completely healed and has become a part of her body. When summoning an animal, it will do Tzipporah’s bidding until it is either killed, or she calls it off. One creature/animal on her body can only be summoned three times in one day. Tattoos of people or Gods are not included in her abilities. Real animals and fictional creatures only.

Skills:
Tzipporah’s skills are not ones that stand out as soon as you meet her. She has a very powerful intuition and can read people like books. She can tell when immediately when she is being lied to, when people are genuine or faking emotions and other behavioral things like these. Coming from a place of instability and trust issues, she has gotten very good at weeding out the liers. In her spare time, or when she is stressed or bored, she will carve figurines out of wood.

Equipment:
Tzipporah carries a backpack most of the time containing a thermos for water, a spare pair of sweatpants, a couple t-shirts, socks, whatever cash she has at the time, her ID and her 6 inch serrated edged switchblade knife. She is in the process of obtaining a crossbow.

Biography:
Born into a family of wealthy, third generation Egyptians, Tzipporah was groomed from the very beginning to look, speak and act a certain way. She was expected to marry a wealthy, well known Egyptian man, have children and take care of her Mother in her old age. Due to her headstrong and independent nature, this was the last thing she wanted to do. Her father divorced her mother when she was little, however did his very best to keep in contact with Tzipporah and continue to support her, whenever she needed. Through her teenage years, she developed a strange obsession with tattoos. She couldn’t explain it, but after she got her first one, she could not stop. She got them however and whenever she could, whether that meant stealing money from her parents or doing odd jobs on the side for extra cash, her tattoos were the only thing on her mind, for some reason. . .
Her obsession with tattoos did not go unnoticed by her family; and they most certainly did not approve. However, she had gotten past the point where she felt she had to explain herself. Being the black sheep constantly eventually became amusing, as soon as she got past the emotional rejection part. Her family stayed true to their traditions and their religion, which were two things Tzipporah hated. She witnessed the Black Sabbath on the television and was inspired to her core. She knew she had to find others like her.

Tzipporah sat quietly and chipped away at a piece of wood she picked up along her way. It was sort of starting to look like a frog and she was okay with that, another cute carving to add to her collection. It was dark and damp in the alleyway she sat in and she shivered slightly, as she didn't have a jacket of any kind. 'Long sleeve shirt at least?' she thought to herself, riffling through her backpack. 'Nothing.' She made a mental note to herself to keep on the lookout for an opportunity to find a jacket.

The bar around the corner was loud, filled with Deviants just trying to fill the void of unacceptance with alcohol, loud music and as little human connection as possible. Being a loner, Tzipporah almost never took part in this behavior, however, there were times where she felt like going out on a limb. Who knows? Maybe someone would catch her eye? 'What do I have to lose?' Putting her wooden frog safely in her backpack and sheathing her knife, she jumped down off the pile of boxes and rounded the corner onto a busy street in New York City. Looking up at the cliche, neon flashing sign she smiled sarcastically. 'Wit's End. What an appropriate name for a bar entertaining a population of oppressed and vilified people.' Even though bars were not and never have been her scene, she would admit that she was thirsty so inside she went and sat on a stool near the end of the bar and ordered a hard lemonade. Sweet and not too much alcohol, just how she liked it. She itched in her seat, as it was weird for her to be in a bar in the middle of the day. After she finished her drink, she decided to walk out and explore the rest of the compound.

She sauntered over to a run down looking metal bench in the center of the compound and laid down using her backpack as a pillow. Looking around, she saw many other deviants, but none were looking in her direction. 'Let's gather some eyes shall we Osiris?' Focusing hard on her abilities and tuning out as much noise as she could, she called her beloved jaguar Osiris and he slowly began to form beside her. Remembering his owner, he rubbed his jawline along her hand adn lifted his tail in greeting. "That should get their attention right cutie?" she said with a smirk.
@Concept

So I have a couple questions about the mediums and magic concept.
1) What objects are determined as "mediums?" Are they only things that belong to the character him/herself or could I just pick up a stick in the forest and use that as a medium?
2) When you use a medium to cast a spell, does the medium then break? Or does it slowly wear down after being used for a long period of time? Can you recharge mediums or do they just last forever once you find one?
3) Is there a point system for magic and spells? Like a firestorm for example could cost/be worth 1000 points whereas just a single fireball could cost/be worth say 200?
4) Can you level up mediums be be able to handle stronger spells?
5) What happens to my character if I lose my medium and try to cast a spell anyway? Is it instantly going to kill me or does it just weaken me?

I know it's a lot of questions but I need to know so I don't make myself look stupid with my character posts later and so I can build my CS properly. Thank you!
@Uncle Spanky

Haha I've been here a while. I just disappeared for a little while cuz I've been in college :)
I'm Savannah. Yes that is my real name and NO I don't care if people know it. I am not concerned with someone coming after me or any of that stupid shit because I don't believe that everyone is out to get me.

I've been a member of this website for quite a while, just under a different username for most of it. I enjoy playing in casual or advanced fantasy RP's and my characters tend to reflect pretty closely to who I am. It is rare for me to find an RP I actually want to play in because they're all either exactly the same, full or in the marvel universe, which I hate. If you have any unique fantasy, medieval, magic or 1x1 ideas, feel free to message me about them. I am also down to be someone's CoGM if the subject interests me.

I am a very gifted writer so I usually only participate in the advanced RP's but I will sometimes play in casual if the subject is interesting. So yeah that's me. Feel free to send me a friend request if you're interested in the same things I am! :)
@Sierra

I AM SUPER INTERESTED and I don understand why no one else has expressed any. This is an awesome idea and I would LOVE to play. I would also love to be your CoGM if you need one!
@Squirrel98

So I am slightly confused as to the plot of this RP. So there are different races that all live on the same planet and go to school together but there aren't any other details provided to connect those two points. What school is it? What are we all heading towards? I feel like this wouldn't go anywhere without an outline of where it is all headed towards. I'm not trying to be mean or nosey or too critical but I just need to know in order to make my character the best it can be.
