With R-By by its side, the Ethereal at least had a form of insurance in regards to whatever may happen during this interaction. Unfortunately, the individual they found wasn't all too humble. At all. But his arrogance wasn't what ticked off the Ethereal, no such behavior was always brushed aside as unnecessary human urges to control. It was how much he knew about the Dark Outliners that truly put the alien overlord into a state of disbelief. The Magician couldn't see it, mostly because the alien had no expression, but it was truly puzzled as to what it could think about this. After all, the fact that Nathaniel knew even their name was surprising given he also announced he just arrived in Arcadia-1.
But alien quickly found holes in his story, points that made the young man's position here a little clearer. He first talked about being a multiversial traveler, yet never set foot in Arcadia before. That seemed impossible, due to the fact that this Multiverse was bound to the terminals (in this rp anyway), and acquiring a Terminal would inevitably bring him to Arcadia-1 at some point. Especially after thousands of worlds visited. Following that would be that apparently the Outliners were operating for 'eons' and had made significant changes to the multiverse.
"
Your consistency leaves much to be desired, Magician, as your notion of time seems rather flawed. It is possible that we've had a breach in our intelligence, however to say we have operated for eons and achieved notoriety is nonsense."
At this point the Ethereal estimated where such a leak could be possible. It would be impossible for the ADVENT troops as they were terminated and disconnected from the hivemind if they were to vanish. The Wandenreich and Aogiri Tree had potential backstabbers within their ranks as they kept their individuality, Conablum labs were much too recent as well as the Will of Longinus. No matter, a crackdown would eventually be required within these ranks to possibly get rid of loose cannons.
"
It is also questionable that you've never set foot here before, considering you must wield a Terminal in order to perform such feats. Misleading the Dark Outliners, those who are endlessly vigilent within the shadows, would be YOUR downfall."
Responding to the strange inconsistencies but also to the threats made by the young wizard, the alien manifested a bit of its psionic powers to release the pocket dimension it was in beforehand. Most of the dead city they were in would be enveloped with spirit particles, Reishi, and essentially morphed the whole town into a pristine new town in an instant. With just a wave, it turned the whole area into its territory, even making it cumbersome for the giant insectoid he had summoned along with other beings. It didn't matter what army he brought, this was their turf.
"
But we'll entertain the idea of you joining our ranks, as it seems to be your ambition, what can you do to prove your value? How can we trust your lack of coherent storyline to be acceptable to our cause? And best of all, if you were to destroy us, what makes you believe they won't take care of the job for us?"
The alien released it's gray, atrophied arm and pointed to the general direction of the United-States, but if one were to have perfect eagle eyes, they'd realize it would pointing directly at the Conquerors' base. Following that, it nudged its index fingers angle a little higher and stopped. The Imperium was the second point to consider.
"
Attack us, and you'll awaken two giants that will consume you whole. You are in no position of power. Quite the contrary, the continuation of your minuscule existence depends solely on us as of now."
The alien calmly explained as it slowly approached the man so at the end there would only be a meter separating them. At this point the Ethereal was demonstrating that it indeed had the position of power, but didn't display any hostility as of yet. As said, they wouldn't even have to lift a finger, the barbarians over there would do just fine.
'
R-By. Your assertion would be appreciated. This being does not inspire much trust.'
It told the demi-human leader through telepathy, keeping it secretive to avoid giving he Magician something to fall on if he were to feel cornered by the alien's initiatives.
On his guard and appearing a little trigger happy, Starscream was indeed what Tatara expected through what Keith may have observed but also from how he attacked Cyano during the first Cybertron raid. His voice also made the stereotype of a backstabbing coward all the more amusing to the stoic Tatara. The male ghoul took a few steps forward, feeling rather confident that they wouldn't assault him before he'd make a response. It took a few seconds of a silent, cold stare before Tatara would answer.
"
You are a member of the Alliance of Conquerors, but also en route to getting rid of their leadership. You have the army, you have the position. All you lack, Starscream, is information. Intelligence."
At least it was clear the ghoul wasn't offering a position to the Decepticon, and for good reason. It would be counter productive to bring such a traitorous within their ranks. Actually, it would be more productive to just kill him and usurp everything. Considering what Eto did to Ultron, it didn't seem like the Outliners were too worried about provoking the Conquerors some more. Nonetheless, Starscream presented something of value however, and despite his apparent ignorance of reality, he didn't seem all that stupid either. Actually pretty witty to have reached this point in the hierarchy. Tatara could empathize with such a self-built individual.
"
The Alliance of Conquerors hold an advantage that they'll easily use against you if you were to truly ascend to the position you deem to be righteously yours. Knowing this advantage may very well secure your ever lasting reign within this Universe. We firmly believe that matters within your Universe should not be interfered with."
Tatara buttered up the Decepticon, using Starscream's evident greed to have him pay attention a bit to what would be said.
"
Are you interested in hearing what this table-turning intelligence is exactly? Or are you confident that your, to say it lightly, crippled forces would match their conglomerate of monstrosities?"
He kept the proposal vague, but only to make sure Starscream wasn't suddenly going to explode into some belligerent idiot. Tatara didn't want to engage into a war against the Cybertronians, especially when it would yield little to no results.
