You have just met your untimely end through means that you probably cannot recall. However, instead of traversing to the afterlife, you find yourself in floating in midair, in a room of pitch back. Your senses have been stripped from you and your emotions have been dulled as you apathetically wander aimlessly in the darkness.

Suddenly, from out of nowhere, you start to hear the deep and loud disembodied voice of what sounds like a man.

“Welcome, young traveler, to a realm of imagination and wonder unbeknownst to most.” He said in a calm manner as his words echoed throughout the area.

“I am aware of your flustered thoughts and uneasy mind, but I assure you, there is no need to fret. Everything will be revealed in due time.”

Following the unknown man’s words, an aura of tranquility soon enveloped your entire being, extinguishing any feelings of apprehension and anxiety from your body.

“For now, you must prepare yourself for what has yet to come. Your journey is just about to begin.”

Summary

Your Role in this World

To reiterate what I just said, you have finally perished from the real world, but instead of your life ending, you have been given a chance to start anew. For some reason, the Gods of Manga and Anime have decided to grant you the chance to live out your fantasy in an alternate realm only a few know about.

Inspiration for this story will be drawn from quite a few Shonen series; animated, drawn, and written. I will not list down each and every one of them since such a task would be too tedious and would just produce a large wall of text. As much as possible, I shall stray away from characters considered to be Canon as well.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. However, if it pertains to certain issues regarding overlapping worlds or the current status of the world itself, I shall not answer such inquiries. For the former, we will solve such issues when they present themselves to us in the role play. As for the latter, these things will be revealed throughout the story. I prefer this method to fortify the idea that you being brought to a world you know nothing about. Well, only initially of course. Eventually, you will realize that where you are now, is simply a smorgasbord of the shows, novels, and comics you are quite fond of.

So guys, I've seen your character sheets, and they all seem fine to me. Just clean up your posts and use hiders to hide them. Large walls of texts are kinda messy to look at.

Anyway, I'm surprised with the number of people interested in this thing, so instead of providing you with an artifact, send me message of a general/vague ability you want and what type of artifact you'd like. Maybe an accessory, weapon, piece of clothing or armor, a bag or book, etc.

Good day to everyone! What I have here is but a concept of what I had in mind. Its basically a sandbox adventure RP. I'd intervene from time to time, but would base my actions on what you give me. This will be a casual RP, so don't expect anything too intense. This can go from fun, friendly, and adventure-bound to serious and dark; it really depends on how you guys are gonna do things. Anyway, just post your questions and comments down below if you have any. Thanks!

You find yourself alone in a room shrouded with darkness. No walls, windows, furniture, or doors could be seen. The last thing you remembered was falling asleep; nothing particularly note worthy had occurred prior to this. No matter how long or far you wandered, there seemed to have been no end to where ever you are. Eventually, you began to feel anxious and frightened with what was happening to you, but luckily, this was immediately quelled by a feminine disembodied voice.

"Greetings, young one." she said in a soothing and calm manner. The thoughts of panic and fear that were flooding your mind dissipated in an instant.

"You must be wondering where you are and why you are here."

Before you could answer, she immediately interjected and continued speaking. "As much as I want to tell you this, I cannot. You were chosen for a reason, but that is something that you must discover on your own."

A brief moment of silence filled the room. You couldn't help but feel disappointed; you had expected answers, but got none. Clueless to what was happening, you had wanted to express yourself. However, yet again, you were cut short by the unknown voice.

"Young one, all I ask from you for now, is your trust. I shall help you when the time is right, but for now, accept this as a token of my apology. May this protect you throughout your journey."

After receiving your gift, you suddenly grew weak in the knees and lightheaded. You fall to the floor, your vision was fading, and slowly, you lost consciousness.

Shonen Punk! (Concept Thread and Interest Check)

The general concept for this RP is that players will be playing as teenagers enrolled to one of many academies that caters to those with supernatural and out of the ordinary abilities. However, unlike other institutions, they focus more on practical teaching and usually skip the theoretical part. Although with well respected and known staff, the school itself has no real sponsor thus monetary problems are somewhat common. To deal with this dilemma, the school actively partakes in missions to cover the amount of money they tend to spend throughout the year. Although frowned upon by many due to the dangers that come with it, students are given scholarships and in exchange for their free education and training, they are assigned to handle missions of their own.

Ability-wise, think of it as a mash-up of various shounen series. Scaling of the abilities would be done by myself to keep the balance and unlike shounen, it'll be a bit darker with death always being a possibility.
