Pizza is a main course, but is also a pie. Therefore, I can eat pizza as my meal and have another pizza as my dessert.

Bio

I am Searat
Half sea, Half rat, All Aqueous Rodent.

My role playing career is something i consider as a hobby of some sort but as to how long i have been role playing, I would say that i have three to four years under my belt. (Though most of the times I was role playing, they were nothing as serious as this and were more of a means to relieve stress with my friends or test out ideas that came to mind with them.)

As for my preferences to genres of role play, I would have no biases nor specific preferences to any genre and would be able to adapt to the genre as best I can when placed into it.

Some of my hobbies consist of: playing games, surfing the web, walking, bowling, darts, and cooking. I sometimes write and draw things but not as much to consider it to be a serious hobby.

It kinda bummed him out that both Theresa and Lew couldn't reconcile their differences and opted to drop out of their discord, but they did what they have to do to keep the drama turning into another noodle incident. Regardless they had to march onward and hope that they're doing fine themselves. But it was time for Raime to get used to his newfound skills and goodies.

Practicing a weapon such as his gunsawkatana was pretty daunting with only one arm. But after watching a few move set and combo videos of a certain one armed Devil Hunter made training with it way more easy than winging it on his own. Soon enough he'd pull off complicated combos as if it were his second nature. Sadly he couldn't do the same with his alchemy. Real world chemistry applied itself in the world of CaCo but vast majority of the materials he was working with was alien to him. The one armed man is eternally grateful to those random alchemist guides he found online. But all that hard work wouldn't amount to anything if he couldn't apply it to practice. What better place to do that but in the battlefield in the upcoming war? He really should have felt bad for even thinking about that...but wearing the mask made it easier for him to accept that cutting down another player would be more interesting than cutting down another enemy npc.

God. Is this game slowly turning him into a psychopath? Nah.

He was brought back to reality by the sound of...an engine? He turned his head to the source of the sound he was hearing and couldn't help but smile underneath his mask. "Well I'll be damned. Russ, long time no see or speak for that matter. Guess you finally got a good enough connection in Tanzania, huh? Regardless glad to have you back." The man would snicker at Stanislaw's comment regarding Russ getting tired of travelling the world and settled somewhere in Thailand railing some ladyboy's ass. The happy moment was cut off by Mags, being Mags, doing her own thing and basically giving a not-so-subtle threat. Raime shrugged, he'd learned quickly that it'd be best for his mental health to just let the brutish woman go do whatever the fuck she wants. "Sorry Russ, no clue with the symbol. Plus, can't join you in your vengeance quest; been rearing to participate in this event for a while now. I didn't join in any clan, so no loyalties here." That was a lie. Raime leaned heavily towards the Ryoku-Jo and would be more likely to do jobs for them than any other faction offering. "but there's profit to be made and I suggest we take opportunities before the city state decides that it doesn't like fence sitters and kicks us on our asses."

"Thomas!?" Rudolph said with a look of disbelief as the young man burst from the back of their carriage, makeshift firebomb in hand. Fire burned a number of the newer aggressive flora but soon even the young man was overwhelmed by an unseen vine. Things were looking pretty grim for the group of impromptu adventurers, but fate smiled on them. Shina was reinvigorated by a fiery passion and was a flurry of cuts and slashes. One being able to free his arm. Just in time to hear the dragoness call to dispel the magic. True enough, there was no reason to maintain the illusion now that they were in active combat for the denizens of the Thousand Year Old Forest to see. With a quick cutting motion with his free hand, he dispelled the polymorphic magic affecting them and once again they were in their old selves. "Polymorphic magic down! Go wild!" He said before incinerating the vine trying to stab his neck. Their jig was up and the only thing they could do now is fight through the forest and hope that Thaddeus was still keeping Nemnon and the rest of the wild elves' attention on him.

The one armed scout let out a relieved sigh. After so much in-game suffering, they finally managed to catch a break. Heck, they even technically finished their first mission. Yeah, it was something akin to an unmarked quest and yeah, the shrine maiden was still worried and even got confused when they explained to her why Lew didn't want to come back. But she did say she was thankful to know that the dark haired man was still living and breathing. That amounted to something and warranted a visit to the Blooming Springs onsen to unwind and wash away the virtual grime off their avatars. Though the location in itself was already a sight to behold. Such a far cry to the resorts and spas he was accustomed to. Not that he was complaining. There were a handful of eastern style spa resorts in Wakeford that he could compare it to, but this was the closest thing to the authentic as he could get. Though as excited he was to experience this authentic augmented reality hot spring, a daunting foe revealed itself upon paying for the usage of the facilities and getting ready for the dip.

There was only one entrance to the hot spring.

Initially, Raime thought it had separated into two separate portions of the spring. But upon passing through the threshold of the entrance, his assumption was disproven rather quickly. He was instantaneously met by a number of both men and women enjoying the springs as well as the views. His mind raced a mile a minute. Darting from thoughts of mixed bathing being a thing in CaCo, to planning on what his next action be, to thanking God that he wore a mask and a towel to hide his embarrassment. A singular beat of the heart had passed and the one armed scout had dashed into the opaque waters of the spring. Expertly navigating the visitors positions with only a look. Garnering a more than a few looks himself as the sight of a one armed man in a mask zip through the fog and into the water was quite a sight to behold. This is gonna be an awkward few minutes. Made even more awkward by the fact that he seemed to be the only one wearing a mask...and staring straight to the starry night sky and nowhere else.

At least he it was comfortable to feel the hot waters melt away his virtual body's accumulated tension and stress in moments. He guessed it wasn't all that weird.

Then a little girl clad in armor popped beside Ames.

"Spoke too soon."

"On it!" Rudolph then aimed his palm at the villainous vine and uttered a single word in the arcane tongue. "Fotiá." Instantaneously a ball of blue flame shot from his palm and struck the obtrusive vine that was causing Shina trouble. The disguised wizard's firebolt made short work of the vine as it carbonized in less than a second. He didn't even hit the blacksmith to boot! He had little time to celebrate as vines shot from the ground and bound one of the wizard's arms and both legs. "Uh-oh." With a sudden jolt of the vines the wizard was knocked flat on his ass and a vine seemed to level itself with Rudolph's neck before shooting forward. His unbound arm shot up and grasped the vine. Stopping it shy only a handful of centimeters to his throat. "Oh dear. Now I'm in a pinch." Rudolph said as he struggled to prevent the living plant from piercing his throat.

"Duly noted, Ms. Shina; and please do be careful yourself." Rudolph said as he tried his best to shake of the feeling of being watched. It was nerve wracking enough that they were this far in the woods, he didn't need to add any more stress upon himself by thinking that they were already being watched. Buuuuut...just to be safe he kept an eye out for both wild elf related and supernatural dangers that may make itself known to the group. If anything, he'd be less likely to trip upon roots or loose stone by keeping an eye on where he was going. Though it would be rather strange for a wild elf to be checking his footing on a place he would have been more familiar with than the back of his own hand.

"Duly noted, Mr. Thaddeus. Please do stay safe." He bid the Mesmer farewell and began counting the passing seconds. The sailor had suggested that they enter after 15 minutes at the least, but if felt like hours as they waited. He could only imagine how a battle between a Mesmer and Nemnon would look like. Likely worthy of a tale sung by the capital's best bards he guessed. A hand to his shoulder would bring his focus back on reality. Shina had asked how she looked as a wild elf. Their warrior had commented that Shina looked like a proper elf. "I agree with our warrior. If I didn't know any better, I would have guessed that you were a natural born wild elf." He smiled slightly before resuming his counting. It was nearing their time to enter the woods as instructed.

A hushed prayer to the Makers escaped his lips as they prepared to enter the Thousand Year Old Woods.

Despite that he just recently had to accept the fact that the boogeyman for this region of the Archduchy's land was 100% real, he still offered the woman a reassuring smile. "No problem, Ms. Shina." The wizard then began his tinkering with the dragon's amulet. Soon enough the temporary modification of the powerful magics contained within was complete. Handing the amulet back to Taarah, Rudolph reasoned that due to dragons being naturally massive sources of magic and mana, if the dragoness were to wear and activate the amulet then they can stay in their polymorphic disguises indefinitely. Similar to how she was able to stay in her human form and even mask her magical power in Minnow's tavern.

When Taarah wore the amulet and activated the amulet's magic. The effect would be near instantaneous and everyone within 20 feet of the dragoness would have transformed into a proper looking wild elf. It was now or never. He'd just hoped that the Lord of the Woods won't be crossing their path.

"Wild elves are believed to have no systematic hierarchy among the tribes...well thats not exactly 100% true. Ancient texts and documents suggest that they do actually. But it is a barebones belief of might makes right. Meaning to say that there will be no 'permanent' leader of a tribe as many would contest their right to lead the tribe. Only the strongest and most cunning stay on top. And even then, it was no guarantee." Rudolph pursed his lips inward briefly before continuing. "Not in Nemnon's case. Legend says that he was an already great warrior that was blessed by the primordial spirits to cease the shedding of blood between the tribes. Not only did he manage to defeat the leaders of all the Wild Elf tribes in the Thousand Year Old Woods bare handed, but he also ruled all of them uncontested. Hence the title 'First and Only Lord of the Woods'." But the wizard had a hunch that the mythical figure was simply gauging how strong he really was and find his standing in the food chain of the Woods. Well, he did find his place; right at the very top. And as the Mesmer described the appearance, his heart sank. "The very same."

Oh makers above Nemnon was real.

"Most definitely, Ms. Shina. The fact that we're going through the forest almost guarantees danger. But with this." He raises Taarah's amulet. "There's an exceptionally good chance that we'll make it out alive. Possibly unharmed even." The blacksmith then tells them that they can still turn back now and head back to town without issue. "I have given you my word to helping you find your friend, and a proper gentleman does not go back on his word." Thaddeus then speaks up after being silent most of their planning. Explaining that their biggest obstacle in their journey through the Thousand Year Old Woods was a mythical being used by locals to scare off curious folk and wanderers from entering the woods for generations? Sounds unlikely. Then he glances to the dragoness and the amulet that she willingly lent to him. But stranger things have happened...though he clarified with the Mesmer just to be clear about his claims.

"I'm fine with you going first but you and Nemnon have history? As in, the Wild Father himself? First and only Lord of the Woods? That Nemnon?" Rudolph hoped that the mythical Nemnon they were pertaining to was not the same one he was thinking of. If so, their chances of surviving their passage would drastically decrease. Well, maybe not for the dragoness. She'd probably survive the encounter.

Maybe.

The half-elf wizard flinched as the dragoness' head came close to him. He instinctively raised his hands to defend his face, no matter how ineffective the act may be against a dragon. But soon realized that the massive magical reptile was offering her amulet for him to examine. Even by just holding it, Rudolph knew that this held significant magical power. "Th-thanks." True to what Taraah said, it did help the wizard formulate a new and more stable solution. By extending the range of the amulet's polymorphic magics, the amulet could effectively disguise the entire group! It would pose 62% less risk to them than his proposed methods. "I'd never thought I'd say this to another dragon, but...thank you."
