Pizza is a main course, but is also a pie. Therefore, I can eat pizza as my meal and have another pizza as my dessert.

When I need a left sock, there is none. When I don't need one, there is a surplus. I think the world is toying with me.

Bio

I am Searat
Half sea, Half rat, All Aqueous Rodent.

My role playing career is something i consider as a hobby of some sort but as to how long i have been role playing, I would say that i have three to four years under my belt. (Though most of the times I was role playing, they were nothing as serious as this and were more of a means to relieve stress with my friends or test out ideas that came to mind with them.)

As for my preferences to genres of role play, I would have no biases nor specific preferences to any genre and would be able to adapt to the genre as best I can when placed into it.

Some of my hobbies consist of: playing games, surfing the web, walking, bowling, darts, and cooking. I sometimes write and draw things but not as much to consider it to be a serious hobby.

"A whole bunch of branches would be a start. Without a proper magical catalyst like my wand, my magic will be eating through those branches faster than a skulk of hungry foxes in a chicken coop." Rudolph said as he started collecting his share of branches. They didn't know how far the Mesmer was and the half-elf wizard believed that it was better to have a surplus of materials than a shortage of it. Any magic user worth their weight in gold knew how to use mundane items as temporary catalysts for their casting. It could never compare to the efficiency and ease of using an actual catalyst but it was always better to have a catalyst than to cast without one. "I don't want to sound negative, but...what do we do if we can't find Thaddeus or, Maker forbid, discover that the worst had happened to him?"

While they waled to the Mora-Sho clan recruitment office Raime kinda wished he suggested them to join with the Ryoku-jo earlier. Seeing as the rest of the group had easily agreed with Klein to join the weaker clan, he could have just as easily suggested to the group that they join the side with the winner of the Rinkan Annihilation Tournament and steampunk power armored samurai with chainsawkatanaguns. Eh, pointless to whine about what is already done. But it really didn't surprise him. The group had a knack for getting into situations where the odds were heavily stacked against them...the one armed man just hoped that their decision to work with the Mora-Sho would be a lucrative one at the very least. If they were going to fight for the losing side of this war, the clan should at least give the players who sided with them compensation for trying.

"I guess?" Raime replied to Ames' comment regarding the dancing skeletons. It was a rather macabre sight in his realistic perspective, but he guessed there was something akin to gap moe or something. The sign berating those who didn't join the clan of necromancers got a brief chuckle out of the man. He should have known that a number of hardcore gamers would welcome the hardcore difficulty that came with joining the Mora-Sho clan with open arms. He'd soon focus his attention to the Yam man that asked them if they were here to fuck shit up. "Depends. Got any work for semi-reliable sellswords like us?" Raime says while he tried to rack his mind into remembering this tuber shaped fellow.

@Dark Cloud
I think the interaction between Mort, Hecate, and Vinashy has wrapped up as I guess everyone is good with the plan and would want to look for the others. Think we can get a GM post while exploring the Everdark?
Also, how do we handle combat between PCs and hostile NPCs?
Same resolution from last year.
Learn from last year's mistakes and be better.
Looks super good in my opinion, Sleeping.

"Oh I plan on doing both." Mort said with all seriousness he could muster. "The Everdark is my home now and I have no intention of leaving it as a ruin...but my metaphorical heart is utterly engulfed with the fires of vengeance and nothing short of seeing them being eaten alive by my insects would abate the flames. So, why won't we kill two birds with one stone?" The infested skeleton then gestures to the general area of the dungeon. "If we pursued them now, at our current state, we would nary accomplish anything than to add to the dead. And without a proper home and community like we had before, the next group of those bastard adventurers can easily destroy us even before we could even get anywhere near strong enough to take our vengeance." The skeleton then holds up a finger to punctuate his suggestion. "Therefore I propose that we rebuild the Everdark, better than what it was before, and in the process get stronger and stronger as we nurture this gestating nation of monsters. Fending it from threats within and without and when the time comes, and it will come, we march our armies to the surface and repay them in kind." Mortimer pauses as he revels of what carnage they will wreak upon the surface. "So...what say you my new friends?"

"I understand your concern with others..." It was a known fact that not all the denizens of the Everdark were amicable to one another. Some even were outright hostile. "but isn't it a good sign that he hasn't attacked us or even threatened us on sight?" It was around this point that he 'felt' the vampire take his hand and gives it a polite shake and explain to the duo that his magic will only affect those with blood. "No doubt about that sir vampire, but I'm sure you are powerful in your own way." Rather than turn his body away from the hemomancer vampire, the skeleton simply opts to turn his head 180° with his free hand to face the worrywart wraith. Attempting reassure her that the vampire was more of a potential friend than a potential foe. "See, Hecate? He seems a decent enough individual. Give the guy a chance."

Twisting his head back to face the vampire, one could observe that the blue motes of flame inside his eye sockets shape themselves into downward crescents. As if to notify the vampire that the bug-infested skeleton was rather happy. "I take it that this means that we would be travelling together for the foreseeable future?" And maybe even beyond that; as he'd be sure that the vampire also had a vendetta to be settled against those adventurers.

It had been nearly three hours since he'd returned to the realm of the unliving and wandering the halls of the dungeon he called home. Not once did he find any of his neighbors and acquaintances alive. He'd nearly given up hope. Ready to storm out of the Everdark and hunt down those heartless adventurers that caused this calamity. Had he a face it would have bore a look of shock as he heard a faint mournful cry. A survivor perhaps?

The clickity-clackity of his boney feet hitting the cold stonework of the dungeon echoed through the uncomfortably quiet halls of the Everdark and, lo and behold, a survivor of the massacre! If the gods didn't hate his metaphorical guts for existing, he'd thank them. "N-no. I don't think we have." He answered back. His voice purposefully smooth and gentle to avoid scaring off the first living monster he'd encountered. "My name is Mortimer Costello. I would have liked our initial interaction be under better circumstances but I'm just glad to see another of us still alive." Just as he was about to suggest that they keep looking for more survivors, a vampire made himself known and summons forth a ball of light that illuminates his form and casts a dim light upon himself and the female spirit. "More survivors! Maybe this dungeon isn't done for." Mort said while clapping his hands together making an audible clack. "Greetings of peace, master vampire. My name is Mortimer and this is my new friend Hecate. We are currently the only surviving monsters of this dungeon...well as far as I know at least. Would you like to accompany us? Safety in numbers and whatnot." The infested skeleton punctuated by extending his hand forward in a friendly and non-combative manner.
No rush for the post.
As to the spending, I completely understand.
God knows I'm not a strong man and it was a Christmas miracle I didn't spend any of the cash I was gifted.
