So I have been on the Guild for a long, long, long, long, long, long, LONG time. I first joined the OldGuild around, my best guess would be 2012? I've been active in the Star Wars scene on the Guild since then, there have been very few games based around that genre that I haven't at least nosed my way in on. My very first game was a Star Wars game and that's what actually really got me into the Star Wars Franchise.

It's weird to think but I am such a major Star Wars nerd these days, yet before I was on the Guild I wasn't. I got into a Star Wars RP, got onto the Wikia, and then away I went into a spiral of nerd-om that I currently live within. I've grown since then, I game quite a bit, I write when I can. I have a wikia full of a lore to my own original creative universe and play around with some 'cool' comic book nerds.

Hell to the Yeah.

To answer the question you asked in Discord on the Guild.

By Advanced I'm aiming for what usually got referenced to as 'High Casual'

Exaron is an unassuming world in the outer edge of the Galactic Mid-Rim. A mining, production and agricultural world. Formerly a Separatist aligned world it lasted as a holdout, it refused the stand down order at the end of the war and its spirit was quickly broken by the new Imperial Stormtroopers. Since then Governor Perdita has held an iron grip on the system, her antique Venator Star Destroyer sits diligintly in orbit protecting her shipping lanes and her people from pirates and insurgents. It is a time of peace, and prosperity - for those willing to toe the line and do as the will of their Empire.

That all changed when a lone Y-Wing entered the system, the Rebel and former ISB Agent Tyrell Omi-Ren had escaped Bastion with intelligence on Imperial double agents within various rebel cells throughout the Galaxy, damaged and beaten he subsequently crashed on the surface of the planet.

Imperial Forces arrived first, but not before he managed to send out a call over unencrypted channels calling for help. Stating the importance of the information he had, within the day two Imperial Star Destroyers entered orbit and the planet was locked down tight. The embers of war, have come to Exaron.

Fires of Exaron is a Roleplay set in the Star Wars Universe. A custom planet in the midrim of the Galaxy, I'm hoping for more players to be Rebels/Unaligned but I am willing to allow Imperials depending on how it's written.

There's not much else to say here. I'm aiming to run things a bit differently than usual. Rather than playing a PC myself I'm going to solely play the role of Gamemaster. I will push and progress the story using NPCs helping react to what you are all doing in order to keep the story moving.

This isn't very much for an OOC, but sometimes you keep it simple.

Any questions, give me a shout. Or ask me here?

The Imperial Intelligence centre on Fondor was a buzz of activity. A datapad had been stolen, that listed various agents that II and the ISB had placed within certain groups and organisations in the Galactic mid-rim, shortly after a Y-Wing broke out of the disassembly line of the aging Republic fleet. In the ensuing dogfight the bombers astromech was disabled as it shot into hyperspace on an unstable trajectory.

Exaron was a world on the fringe of the mid-rim. A mining and agricultural colony that had been in the Separatist Alliance during the Clone Wars, and a holdout for a very short period of time after the end of the war. An Aging Venator the Redemption stood guard over the planet. Governor Perditas flagship, surrounded by her small fleet of support ships and cruisers. Scorch marks of battles long past marked the hull, battles long forgotten in the Clone Wars and more recent skirmishes against pirates, smugglers and dissidents in nearby systems.

The officers on the bridge recieved the alert, the communique about the stolen Imperial Intelligence. Laughed at the fact that those from 'superior and more developed worlds' could make such a monumental mistake, and then went back to their game of sabacc on the makeshift table of crates on the bridge of the ship. They would file it with their daily report, no need to bother the governor with irrelevant information.

Alarms blared as the Y-Wing dropped in system, flame and smoke billowing from the small craft as it tore through the atmosphere and crashing on barren planes near Tregallon. One of the traitors last concious actions after securing the information, was to send out a distress call on all frequencies. In the hope that someone sle found him, before the Empire did.

Unfortunately luck was not on his side, the local Imperial Garrison swarmed his ship, taking him high into the mountains. Before he crashed, nobody of any importance within the Galaxy knew about Exaron or where it was. Within an hour of his crashing, three Imperial Star Destroyers and their escorts arrived in orbit. Locked down the planet, and as fresh droops descended from the sky the holonet was a buzz of activity. Removing any doubt about the fact;

Exaron was under Imperial Control

Welcome to Fires of Exaron, a roleplay set on a non-canon planet in the Star Wars Universe set in the year 5BBY (before the Battle of Yavin). In this roleplay, a Rebel Agent has crash landed on the planet Exaron with vital information for the loosely affiliated group of beings that will become known as the Rebel Alliance. The Rebel alliance needs this information, will you hinder or help?

In this roleplay I, as the Gamemaster, will not be having a set character. Instead it is my sole mission to act as NPCs and give you all guidance as you navigate this previously (mostly) peaceful world, as your characters try to navigate events that could spiral out of control very easily.

So the one question is, are you ready?

Important Information:

While I am subtmitting a lot of information, as the story grows and progresses new locations will be created by me, as well as characters, but also feel free to create your own as needed. This lexicon initially is to help you get started, and as the roleplay goes on it will be a helpful record of new places and faces.

Rules:

1. We're all here to have fun, please help me help you to do that.
2. Any PvP engagements will be discussed beforehand, with an agreement before you even get into that situation.
3. With the design of the roleplay, you will all be writing in essence against me. I don't want to kill a PC unelss that player wants them to die, however please don't force me to write really convuluted escapes every other post because you choose to a Solo Manuever.
4. If you're stuck for what to do, ask. It's my job to help you along to continue the story.
5. No Metagaming/Powergaming.
6. This Roleplay is going to contain some slightly more mature themes, blood, gore and swearing is allowed however should be kept tasteful (no doing it just for the sake of doing it). Anything in regards to what you are doing to that alien hooker, we don't need to know.
7. In your character history mention some form of dealing with a Drunk Dug with a Gambling Problem.
8. Initial Maximum of one PCs per player, further can be discussed going forward.
9. Respect eachother.
10. Have fun.

Character Sheet:

This is the character sheet template, feel free to make personal tweaks as you see fit. The important thing to me are the skills, and weaknesses. History doesn't need to be excessively long but if your character is an excellent rocket-jumper, I expect to find out why.

Name:
Species:
Age:

Equipment:
Abilities(For Force Users): Balance it out, and detail how skilled they are.

I think the best idea I've heard so far is waiting till after Christmas.
Just to join in on this conversation.

I think as we get older time squeezes is all in different ways that does making it a little harder to run one of these.

I mean part of the downfall of momentum for this one is one of the shitty Co-Gms went and got married then had a honeymoon where they couldn't really post.

Didn't he know he had a game to help run?!

I agree with pretty much everything everyone else had said, trying to bring players together (geographically in-game), figuring out easy quick events and crossovers, less emphasis on solo storytelling.

I think the biggest one is trying to remove from ourselves the stigma that a short post is a bad post. Whenever I get a spare 30 minutes and I write a post I always end up sending it to two or three people cause I think it's absolutely horrible (and it might be), but atleast it's a post.

I mean realistically I think if you were to combine everyone's posts most of them would be about the same length.

End post length discrimination today. As my wife likes to say - size doesn't matter.
