"My team is fine where they are. I'll fill them in after Serph is fully recovered. For now, let's get down to business, shall we?" Ventus inquires, wishing for this conversation to be over with as soon as possible. Having picked up on a familiar aura faintly giving itself away from what assumed was the Revolutioneer base of operations, he wanted to check it out as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, Serph awakes from his pain-induced blackout, able to remember everything that had led up to it. "Sera? I got beat that badly, huh..." His entire body was numb and his head was being pounded by a painful headache. The Lucario's vision even had spots in it. "Shh...you need to rest for now. It'll do you no good to exert what little energy you have talking to me...Ven went to speak to the other trainers. I'm not certain as to where Aqua went, but, I'm sure she'll be fine. She's probably with the other Scattered Pokemon we met.." Serph simply closes his eyes in response, not only taking a moment to soak in all of this info, but also allow his vision to recover by utilizing his aura-reading abilities, able to get a clearer view of the world around him that way. In fact, he takes the time to search for Aqua. He was relieved at first to see that she was currently with Rythian's group of friends, but then, that relief turned into shock as he saw Heat and what appeared to be a Riolu not too far away from her. However, he could see that the Garchomp wasn't moving at all. Were his wounds just as severe or was he simply waiting for something to happen? "Heat is near her...but, he's not advancing toward her or the other Scattered...why is this?" He inquires to Sera. "You know better than anyone that Heat isn't going to hurt anyone he deems to be innocent. Especially if that someone is Aqua..." Sera responds. Serph grimaced at this remark. She was right, after all. He should have known that'd be the case. Had he really forgotten what his partner had been like before they had parted ways? "Just what is your plan...Heat?" The Lucario mutters before he finally decides to get some rest, falling into a light sleep.
Aqua begins to head in the same direction as Rythian and the others, but she then senses a presence behind, the type that she feels cannot be ignored without dire consequences befalling someone. She turns to see nothing. However, this doesn't dissuade her from wanting to see if something was behind the greenery, for in most cases, what shes tries to find is hidden from everyone's main line of sight. She dashes over to the nearby shrubbery, bursting through to the other side to find a Riolu and VERY familiar Garchomp. "Heat? Is that really you!?" She exclaims. At first, he chuckles, giving her a sharp-toothed grin. He then stands up, stretching his arms out wide. "In the flesh. It's nice to see you again Aqua.." He responds.
Internally, the Garchomp heaved a sigh of relief. Despite his current appearance, that fight against Serph had done a number on him. Taking the time to speak to Aqua would allow him to fully recover from his wounds without being dreadfully bored. "Ah, where are my manners? I don't believe you've met my friend here. Aqua, this is Tatakumei. I'm certain you two will get along great." Unfortunately for the Eevee, Heat didn't intend on answering any questions regarding his time away from her and the rest of the team. For now, at least. He had made a promise to her long ago, and he planned on keeping it. He just had to wait for the other team members to arrive. At least, that's how Vanitas explained it to him.
“Well, it seems that everyone I need for the interrogation is available. Aruba, if you’re in as good of a condition as you say you are, then it’d be appreciated if take custody of our Celebi friend and follow me to the interrogation room. It’s about time we get started…” With that being said, the hooded boy begins heading toward his destination, guiding the Pokemon to a room that is completely isolated from those outside of it. Equipped with soundproof walls, no windows, and zero surveillance, this room fits the needs of Vanitas rather perfectly. Ushering them into the room, Vanitas shuts the door behind them without any hesitation. He takes a seat on the opposite side of the table within it, looking right at Aruba and Ai-yu. “I suppose you’d feel more at ease if you had a face to connect with this voice...well, here you go!” After having gone so long with his hood on, the boy finally removes it, revealing his white hair and eerie yellow eyes. His grin adds on to his fear-inducing presence, giving his features that necessary dash of madness. "Now then, with that wondrous revelation over with, it's about time I get down to business. Boy do I have some news for you two! Tatakumei has escaped. Heat managed to get a hold of her before she could flee on her own. It's safe to assume she's under his protection now. As for HOW she escaped, well, where's the fun in telling you when I could just show you?" With that being said, Vanitas flicks his wrist, opening up a Corridor of Darkness. Instead of it being a portal, however, it instead simply acts as a mirror, allowing Aruba and Ai-yu to see the escape scene. The bars of her daughter's cage seemed to be distorted beyond repair, definitely not the work of anyone within the Revolutioneer base.
