Bio

regardless of mornings, the future doesn't scare me at all

Hiya~! My name is Shark, but you can call me whatever. I don't mind any name at all.

If you ever want to rp, just PM me. I don't mind. The sort of rps I like are generally romance (of any genders: MxM [especially], FxF, or MxF- any of them are fine!), fantasy (fantastical worlds are my favorite), and pretty much anything, as long as the plot is good. I don't want to rp a crappy plot. I'm not all for fandom-type rps (since I generally like new and fresh ideas), but I'm sure I could try if you want to that badly. I usually like at least one paragraph, nothing too fancy. Just no abbreviations while typing a post for the rp. That's all I look for.

Need a time schedule? Here you go:

Weekdays: 5:00 to 12:00 CST
Weekends: 2:30 to 12:00 CST

(Note: At 12 CST, my Wi-fi turns off and I can't get on it until the upcoming morning. Please understand that if I don't respond by then.)

Have a beautiful day!

Awesome! Thank you so much!

That'd be just fine. I think I can make it real quick since I have the time now
@booksmusicanime

No, no, it's fine. Life can get a bit hectic like that, so don't worry. I understand if you don't want to continue the rp.

But, if you don't mind... Could I take over this rp? Since you have lost interest in it, I would like to re-make this a bit. It'd be a shame if this great rp idea went to waste, so I'd like to ask for your permission to remake it.
Interacting with: the manager (NPC), Zero (NPC). Speaking to Ai Isukami (@Polaris North)

Twang~, Twang~, Twang~...

Picking at the strings of his guitar delicately, Seung Jong mindlessly played a tune. What kind of tune? Well, he himself didn't know. Something he could give to his fans; maybe a song dedicated to them? Oh! What about a song dedicated to his brother? No, no... That wouldn't do. Zero hated having the spotlight on him at all times.

"Gah, this is hard!" whined the loud red-head, a hand reaching up to run through his hair. He quickly put the guitar on the side of his bed, flopping down onto the blue sheets and soft mattress. Then, curling his knees up to his chest, he rolled around over the bed, letting out small noises of anger and frustration. Oh, do not worry for him: this is how Seung normally takes out the stress building up inside of him.

He immediately stopped when he heard a familiar noise. Ring... Ring... Ring... He snatched his phone up from the bedside table, a bit too quickly and excitedly. What if it was his brother, calling from the phone at one of his jobs? He pressed the, "Answer," button and held the phone to his ear. "Zero, is that you?"

"How did you know?" laughed the older male from the other line. Seung's eyes visibly widened as he stood from his position on the bed. "How are you doing, little brother?"

"Other than being a bit stressed?" Seung sighed, playing with some loose thread on his sweatshirt. Before Zero could reply, he continued. "I mean, I get entered into this contest that I had no idea about, and my manager doesn't refuse! I'm not even sure if I want to do this! Even though my fans are going to be watching me... Cheering me on... I could get new ones, and-"

Zero's chuckle was heard, interrupting the red-head's ramblings. "Seung, don't worry about it. You've made it this far, haven't you? I'll be cheering you on, Father will be cheering you on, your whole fanbase will be screaming their heads off... Just do what you do best, and you'll be fine."

"But I'm up against so many people..." Seung walked over to the tv to turn it on, frowning at an old commercial he'd seen many times. But after a moment, he nodded his head in determination. "Whatever happens, I'm sure I'll do fine!"

"There you go, Seung! Now, I have to get back to work, so just go show them what you're made of! Bonzai!" Zero hung up, leaving Seung in the room by himself. He wasn't alone for long, though; his manager soon entered.

"Hello!" chirped the red-head in Engrish, his English not exactly perfect yet. Then, he went back to speaking in Korean. "Everything going alright?"

The manager shook his head. "I need you to go to the main concert hall. Now." At the puppy-like tilt of Seung's head, his manager sighed irritably. "The place where all the competitors meet up? I didn't think you were this dense. I want you to meet to competition, hopefully analyze some that you know you can blow out of the water. Be friendly, but not too friendly..." The man rambled on about what Seung should do or not do while he got ready.

"Yeah, yeah," muttered he, putting a hoodie that had a bear as the hood on, "I know the drill. Now, can I leave? I want to see if I know anyone there." The manager stared at him dumbfoundedly. He hadn't listened to a word he had said. "Well, I'm off now! See ya!" He stormed out the door and made his way to the hall.

Inside the Main Concert Hall, Sacalonia

Stepping into the hall, he smiled at everyone around him. Superstars, idols... They were everywhere! Though some have him a few disapproving looks at his choice of clothing, Seung batted the looks away and instead averted his gaze to those around him. That's when he saw Ai Isukami.

Not only did he meet Ai before today, he was a huge fan of her music. Who wouldn't be? She was a great singer! The Korean knew it would be difficult to beat her, but he also knew that they were on the same level of profession. He also liked having a challenge.

"Ai-chan~!" He waved his hand high above his head, his grin reaching from ear to ear. He ran over to her, bouncing a bit excitedly. "It's so cool to see you again! How have you been? Are you here for the competition, too? How is your mother doing?" The Japanese words spilled from his mouth, staring at her excitedly as he babbled.

Whoa I did not have my phone at all yesterday. Sorry!

@Polaris North
I like that idea very much! After all, Ai and Seung are kind of in the same situation (raising money for mother/family). Plus, Seung probably needs some friends before getting his vocal gem haha. I think they'd get along pretty well.

@Pudding
I'll go post Seung in the section real quick! Thank you!
Name: Lee Seung Jong

Stage Name: Seung

Sex: Male

Age: 22 years

Appearance:

Height: 6’2”

Nationality: Korean (South Korea)

Reason For Becoming An Idol?: To help his brother/family out of poverty. Doesn't mind helping people from the D.O.B, though

Personality: A bright young man, with a bit of a cute charm to him. Most of his great fans know he is a bit of a clutz and will fall down a lot. But the best part is he’ll get right back up and sing until the song ends. He is very dedicated to his fans and will do almost anything to make them smile, even if it causes mental or physical pain to himself. He tries to help anyone in anyway he can, but usually ends up messing up what was already broken.

Background: As a child, he was an only child. He was loved by his rich parents, not a care in the world, and a great big house to live in. His parents, to help Seung and his parents find each other in a crowd, dyed their hair to a deep red color. This happened when he was 12, and he cherished his hair greatly. One day, his family was going to their grandparents up in Seoul. They were laughing and having a great time, when suddenly, his father crashed. Very badly. Seung can describe it as flashes of different scenes: the car hitting the pole, the rolling down the hill, his mother and father red and not moving, ambulance and police sirens… He and his parents were immediately taken to a hospital. Seung Jong was the only survivor.

Many people who knew the parents ridiculed the man. They accused him of distracting his father from the road, purposely ending their lives. Even his own grandfather didn't want to take care of him, shipping him off to an orphanage in Busan. There he spent his days being made fun of for his strange-colored hair (“What, do you think you're some idol or something?”) and being treated badly for his parents’ deaths. He tried to run away from the orphanage, fleeing into the mountains and the woods nearby. Tears streamed down his eyes as he had no idea where he was going, no idea where to go. He was too young to get a plane ticket to Japan or China, so he was at a loss.

Then, he met a young boy, older then he was, but only by a couple of years. The boy was very upset and didn't see Seung at first. But Seung sang to the boy, a song that his mother sang when he was depressed. The boy saw the red head, smiling from ear-to-ear. Later that month, Seung was adopted into the forest boy, Zero’s, family. They weren't financially swell, their mother working two jobs as his father worked for a company. Zero and Seung got jobs to help the family, but, since Zero was older and stronger than Seung, the forest boy got more things done. Seung spent more time singing at small places or even on the streets, earning some cash from his vocals.

One day, when he was 17, a manager from Japan, “Suki,” as he was called, saw his talent, and asked him if he wanted to become an idol. Of course, that would mean leaving his family behind in financial debt, possibly starving, and dying from poverty. The manager guaranteed that the money could go to his family, and that he would get to see them again sometimes. Though the red-head hated to part from his best friend and adopted brother, he took up the job and went straight to training. It took him a long time, about three years of hard work, no sleep, anda bunch of learning Japanese, to become a great superstar. The fans loved his Charisma and Vocals, which were key to fighting off the B.O.D. Though, before his first debut, he checked on his family in Busan to make sure they were doing fine. He found out that his adopted mother had died from starvation and thirst, and Seung was going to make sure that his father and brother wouldn't leave him either.

Idol Appearance:

Idol Theme: J-Rock or J-Pop

Image Song: Lapis Lazuli

Idol Appeal Strength: (Distribute around 100 points between each attribute)

Vocals: 32

Dance: 20

Visual: 20

Charisma: 28

Weapon: Brass-knuckles hidden underneath his gloves

Instruments: He can play piano or guitar, but he's usually too nervous to play them on stage.

Skills: Not much besides singing, although he is pretty good at handling small children and animals.

Abilities:

A Wink Says it All! - A move in which he winks at the B.O.D, causing it to freeze up for about 5 seconds. If there are others on stage performing, this boosts their Visual (+5) for that 5 seconds. Regardless of others, this decreases his Visual (-5) for that 5 seconds.

Seung-Style! - At the end or middle of his song, he does a series of movements, twirls in a single circle, and strikes a pose for a moment. With the wind of his twirl, he pushes back the opponent. The pose strikes the enemy firmly, but the pose he strikes, whatever it may be, must be in the direction of the enemy.

Vocal Gem: A rose-gold colored gem, placed on the back of his right hand.

Likes: Animals, small children, sweets, making friends, singing, dancing (well, at least, trying to dance), banana milk, fried chicken

Dislikes: Talking about the past, rude people, haters, failing to help someone

Laterality: Right-handed, trying to become ambidextrous

@bloonewb have a good trip!!
Either he's extremely busy, can't think of anything to progress the plot, or is deliberately ignoring this.

I wonder why he would be ignoring this? If that were the case
@ineffable

Yeah, what a shame. Could be fun if there was still someone GMing.

Indigo narrowed his eyes. Celsire. He had never heard of the place, but he was sure his steward had mentioned it once upon a time. This confused him; how did she get from here to Celsire? And what was Celsire like, he wondered to himself. This woman was... very confusing in a way, yet that made him more curious. Strangely, he wanted to know more. Why? Maybe for the thought of the treasure in the land? A smirk came to his eyes as he sipped his flute. No. That couldn't possibly be it.

At her request, he seemed stunned. The steward did not prepare him for this. Well, he did speak of a dance every once in a while, but Indigo had only been half paying attention. The most embarrassing part of it? He had no idea how to dance. "M-Milady-" He stopped himself. Do it for the money. The money. The money. He shook the thought away, flushing under his mask. And leaning in to whisper. "M-Milady, I'm not all quite... skilled, you may say, in ballroom dancing."
