[Shiny Keldeo]

Welcome! If you're reading this, than you decided to drop by for a visit and check out my profile! If not, then why are you still reading this right now?

The name's Keldeo, Shiny Keldeo. I joined the Guild about a two years ago after my first forum fizzled out. I thought I knew what I was doing with Roleplay when I came on the scene, when in reality I had barely scratched the surface of what I had to learn.

My first few RPs went bust, but with each failure I gained valuable experience to learn from, and eventually I started up a fairly successful RP known as Digimon: As the Lights Fade. However, it eventually went bust as over half the RPers, including my Co-GM, poofed and dropped without much warning.

Then came two of my longest running RPs. Pokemon: Legendary Guardians and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Shadows of the Past. Both were filled with great characters and I made a ton of new RP friends in them. Sadly, too many problems arose in both, and I was forced to shut them down.

I wasn't done with Legendary Guardians, however, and rebooted it to try my hand at it once more. So far, it's still going strong, thanks to dedicated people like Ninian and Light Lord, who've helped it stay alive through it all. I'm still not done yet, there's still more creative genius in me waiting to be tapped into!

Roleplay Information

I like to stick to Casual mostly. I've never tried anything in Advanced, but I just can't do anything in Free. I like to include way more dialog and information in my posts than I can post in Free.

I usually prefer to RP with Multiple Characters. It's easier for me to say more and do more, whether that being a Digidestined with a Digimon, a Pokemon Trainer with their Pokemon, or multiples of either.

Speaking of which, there are several subjects to which I usually work with in RP. The biggest being Pokemon. I'm up for (almost) anything, Mystery Dungeon, Ranger, or just being a normal Trainer is completely fine with me. Other interests include Digimon, Star Wars, and various other subjects that would be too numerous to name here.

@TalijaKey It's up to you all. The one thing I will say is that everyone is in Sector 14.
@Iatos @Polaris North @Banana @floodtalon @Ninian @Light Lord

So... I've finally decided... Shadows of the Past has come to a close. This is for a number of reasons:

The characters for a while have seemed bland, kind of two dimensional. There was never really much development for them, even on my part.

My writing style and taste has greatly changed since starting this RP, and the way it's going just isn't suiting me anymore.

I've just generally lost any inspiration to continue writing this RP. It started as its own unique story, but I started mixing it with aspects from personal writings and it just became corrupted and hard to work with. For that I place the blame solely on myself.

I've just got too much going on to worry about this RP, among all the others I've created or am a part of. Between work, admining a server, and working with all the other RPs, this one just got pushed to the back of the line for long enough.

This was a hard decision to make for me, this has been my longest running RP on the Guild since I joined. I've learned a lot from its run, and I'll use it to continue bettering my skills here on the website.

So, with these words, I bid farewell to Shadows of the Past. Thank you all for participating. It's been real.

Luna Bishop and Dustin Coleman
[Affiliation: ???]
[Somewhere...]

"So... where are we exactly?" Asked Luna, finally having regained her senses for the most part. "Where? Well... I guess it depends on what you mean. If you mean our world, we just call it the Digital World. If you wanna get specific, this is Sector 14, some call it the Ice Age Sector." Answered Dracomon. "Digital World... Sector 14... this is so weird isn't it?" Said Dustin, looking at Luna. "I... guess for you it would be... I don't even know what it would be like in the Human World..." Said Dorumon.

Dracomon continued looking the pair over, until his gaze fell upon the device in Dustin's hand. "Hey, what's that you have there, Dustin?" Asked Dracomon, Dustin looking at the device again. "What, this? To be honest, I don't really know... we both found one and then we ended up here." He said, Dracomon coming closer. "Mind if I see it?" He asked. "Sure, it's just a bunch of programs on there, though..." He said, showing Dracomon the device. Dracomon reached his claw over and touched the device, and suddenly it began to glow. "Uh oh, I hope I didn't break it..." He said, watching it. The screen that was filled with snow suddenly cleared, and the screen showed an image of Dracomon, along with what appeared to be vitals.

"Woah... what did it just do? Luna, see if it does it with yours!" Said Dustin, motioning to Dracomon. "Okay... let's see..." She said, holding out hers. Dracomon touched hers, but nothing happened. "Maybe it was just luck?" Asked Dracomon. Dorumon was curious to see what was going on, and what the devices were, so she cautiously approached. "These look... so familiar..." She said, touching Luna's. Then the device began glowing as well, and the same thing happened with Luna's device as Dustin's, only Dorumon's image appeared. "Did it... connect our data... to the devices?" She asked, looking at the device herself. "I know I've seen them somewhere before... Digital... Device... Digivice?" She said unsuredly. "Where'd you get that from, Dorumon?" Asked Dracomon, Dorumon shaking her head. "I... I'm not sure... I must have heard it somewhere... or something..."

Then everything just went stone cold silent. And out of the silence came loud, thundering footsteps. Dracomon and Dorumon turned, with scared looks on their faces. "Oh no, it's him! We need to hide, now!" He said, pushing Dustin into the nearby bushes. Dorumon followed suit with Luna. They didn't dare speak a word, and even Dustin and Luna knew to keep quiet from the way the Digimon were acting. They watched cautiously as a massive form approached where the just stood, passing along without a single word. Within moments... it had passed.

Mammothmon
[Affiliation: The Digital Army]
[Digital World - Sector 14]

@Ninian @Light Lord

What the humans had just seen was Mammothmon. He was a Perfect Level, known sometimes as an Ultimate by some. He was a Commander in the Digital Army, one of many tasked with being the primary guardian of each sector. He was extremely loyal to Susanoomon, and nothing would sway his opinion. "If Humans do come to this world... we will eliminate them, by Lord Susanoomon's Order." He said to himself as he continued patrolling his sector. He remembered what Susanoomon told him would identify a Human from a Digimon.

"Alphamon and the other traitors sent several small devices into the Human World. These will seek out and bring humans to our world. That is the best way to identify one of the humans, wherever and whenever they do arrive." He held up a hologram of what the devices looked like. "Take care to memorize this image well, for it can be easy to miss... or mistake it for another."

He soon heard voices ahead. He would turn and see a Digimon new to his Sector: Renamon. She claimed neutrality, which he would respect. Not all Digimon had the will to fight, it seemed. But he saw another Digimon, one he did not recognize... wait... what was that he carried... a small device... the same device... Susanoomon had showed him... there was no mistaking it... He quickly approached the two. "Renamon... do you realize how severe the punishment will be for you now? You claimed neutrality... yet now... it seems you conspire with a Human! Explain yourself!" Now Mammothmon isn't the brightest Digimon around, but he is a thick skulled Digimon at that. If he believes something, it's unlikely all the excuses and begging in the Digital World would change his mind.

Fuse the Luxio and Breeze the Shaymin
[Folio Town]

The Luxio nodded, and turned towards the guild, stopping as the Sableye concluded his poorly worded conversation. "It's fine, Letho. It's just... exactly how that type of mission would have ended in the long run anyway... kid never would've stood a chance..." He said, closing his eyes and sighing as he headed towards the guild.

Once close to it he took a swift detour to the side, opening up a small tunnel in the trunk that would lead deep into the Guild. This was one of many hidden tunnels carved out in the trunk around the guild for quick access. This particular one led straight to the crew rooms. He made his way inside. No one was around. "Must all be at that dinner thing..." He said to himself as he made his way to his own small room at the Guild. He laid the now sleeping hedgehog down and left the room.

He quickly made his way through the Guild's corridors, pausing for a moment when he neared the dining hall. He looked in to see the whole Guild there, as well as the dancers from Relm's Troupe, and... a rather imposing looking Feraligatr. He didn't know who he was, but that would come later. He crept past the dining hall unnoticed and continued until he reached Glyph's office. And there he would wait until Letho managed to drag Glyph away from dinner.

Ember the Quilava
[Folio Town - Eastern Residential District]

"Big... party..." Said the usually strong willed and undeterred Quilava quite nervously. "I... I don't know... I can handle crowds and everything but... I... I get so nervous at big things like that... I'll stumble over words, I'll spill food and drinks... it's like a... a... phobia, that's it." She said, looking at the two Pokemon in front of her. "If I went, I'd just make a big embarrassment out of myself... it's better if I didn't go... I don't know about Selena, either. Just from today you could see how skittish she can be..." She said. "First impressions are... a big deal... and I don't want ours to be that were nervous wrecks..." She said, now staring sadly at the ground.
Luna Bishop and Dustin Coleman
[Somewhere...]

Luna lay on the cold hard ground as she began to wake up. She was still quite groggy, and stared up into the branches of a tree. So she was still in the forest... but something didn't feel right. She felt like she was laying on ice. She moved her hand to raise herself up and felt the cool crunch of... snow! "Snow?! There wasn't any snow on the ground..." She said, cutting herself off as she looked around her. Now the shock had worn off and she finally saw the world around her. She finally realized that the fauna around her was very... unnatural for Colorado.

She heard a grumble from a few feet away. Dustin was still fast asleep. "Dustin, wake up! Dustin!" She said, screaming at the drowsy boy as he sat up. "It's Saturday, Luna... cut me a break... and turn off the AC would you..." He said before plopping back down, shooting back up at the cold shock running down his spine. "AHH! Luna, is this a joke? Did you put ice under my pi-ll-ow..." He said before looking around himself as well. "Okay... now we're dreaming... or I'm dreaming..." He said shaking his head.

"If you're dreaming this, then I'm having the same dream..." She said, walking over to him. She then swiftly pinched him. "OW! What did you do that for?" He said, rubbing his arm. "Checking to see if you were real, or if this really was a dream... OW!" She said as he pinched her in return. "Okay... so we're both real... and this isn't a dream... so... where are we?" He asked. He went to scratch his head, looked down at the ground, and noticed the light blue device he had picked up earlier. "Hey, it's that thing again..." He said, picking it up.

Luna looked around, finding hers not far from where she had laid. "Yeah... same here... did these things do this... whatever it is?" The two looked at each other, and soon Dustin was fiddling with the multiple buttons on the device. All there was were a ton of screens including a compass, some kind of map, and some screen filled with snow, along with the main screen that showed the time. It was just after Six in the Evening. "So weird..."

A sudden rustling in the bushes caught their attention, Luna quickly retreating to Dustin as he ran in front of her to see what it was. There was a bit of mumbling to be heard. "Dracomon, stay down and be quiet! They'll hear you!" Said a clearly feminine voice. "Come on, Dorumon, they don't seem dangerous, let's see who they are!" Said a young male voice. Soon the rustling got stronger, and before long a small dragon-like creature jumped out from the bushes. "Hey... you... who are you? And who's side are you on?" He asked, nervously demandingly. "Dracomon..." Said another creature as she peaked from behind a nearby tree. She seemed to be some kind of purple fox creature with a raptor like body and two small wings that probably couldn't lift the thing.

Seeing these creatures, Luna fell backwards on her butt. Dustin looked forward, amazed at what he saw. "Woah! This is like one of those Cartoons we watch, isn't it?! This is awesome! Oh... right... my name's Dustin. But... who's side... I don't know..." He said, the small dragon tilting his head sideways. "You haven't chosen a side... hmm... what kind of Digimon are you anyways, with a name like Dustin?" He asked. "D-Digimon? What's... what's a Digimon?" Asked Luna, slowly rising to her unsteady feet.

"What's... A Digimon? Wait... you two are Humans, aren't you? It's just like the Council said would happen! They were right! Woo hoo!" Said the small Dragon. "My name's Dracomon, by the way. And I'm a Digimon. So's my friend, Dorumon, over there! Come on, they're humans!" The small purple creature skittishly made her way over to the small group. "H-Human? You're... actually humans?" She asked, looking at Dustin, then to Luna. "Maybe... maybe there is hope..." She said quietly.
Basically. But this time, we don't have "Programmed" Partners. Our Partners are basically going to be randomly encountered.
Prologue
[The Digital World – Ten Years Ago]

A Digimon with a dream. A dream so outrageous that almost none believed it could be done. So he set off alone, seeking others who would sympathize with his cause. As a Child, he could do little. But with his ambition he grew strong, stronger than any would have believed he could be.

His journey took him to the farthest reaches of the Digital World. It was in these places where he found the few who believed in the same dream he had for their world. Though their group was small, they quickly grew in strength. They were one in the same, Digimon with Dreams of a peaceful future, where darkness was but a faint memory.

And so the group traveled far and wide, training, evolving, and defeating darkness wherever it reigned supreme. Eventually, they realized how much time had passed, and looked at themselves from where they had come from. They had grown powerful, now some of the most powerful Digimon in existence. They had confronted each darkness with all their might, and defeated it. Now it was the time to ensure the darkness did not return to their world.

[The Digital World – Five Years Ago]

The Harmonious Ones witnessed the power and prowess of the group. They watched as the Digital World hailed them as heroes, having united the Digital World and destroyed the evil that laid within. So, when the group, who had since become known as the Council of Five, the now leadership of the Digital World, set out on their new quest to prevent the evil from returning, they offered their assistance in a way none of them thought possible.

They offered Alphamon, the head of the council, a look at the multiple Digital Worlds that lay beyond theirs. What he saw seemed bleak. Time and time again, no matter how badly the Digimon fought, evil would always rise up and break their world, forcing it into submission in ways he could barely understand. Only one thing could ever save it… humans, partnered with the Digimon.

With this new information, Alphamon knew what he had to do. He presented a plan to the other council members, Omnimon, Imperialdramon, Gallantmon, and Susanoomon. And they agreed. They would bring Humans to the Digital World in order to help save it. And so began their latest quest to protect their world.

[The Digital World – One Month Ago]

Their plan was nearing success. With the Harmonious One’s assistance, the council created several small devices to be sent into the Human World to seek out worthy humans to protect their world. It seemed as if peace would be ensured for ages to come.

However, one of the council members, Susanoomon, became disillusioned with their plan. He began to believe that Digimon alone could protect their world. The other members agreed with Alphamon, causing a minor split in the council.

Then the unthinkable happened. Susanoomon broke off ties with the council, and sparked a Civil War between the Digimon. Surprisingly to the remaining council, the majority of the Digimon believed what they were doing was wrong, and that they could protect their own world. A small minority still believed in Alphamon’s plan, causing a bloody battle to break out.

As their fortress came under attack itself, the council put their plan into motion, knowing now was the time that the Digital World needed it the most. They sent the devices into the human world, and turned to face their former friend Susanoomon in one final battle.

[The Digital World – Present Day]

The war rages on still. Numerous factions have developed. The Digital Army, commanded by Susanoomon, battle against the heavily outnumbered Resistance of Light and Hope, a rag tag group of Digimon who still believe in the council’s plan. There are, however, whispers that an unknown group has been pulling the strings behind this whole thing.

The Council’s Fate is unknown. Some say they were killed, others say they lay imprisoned within the remains of their former fortress, now Susanoomon’s Command Center. The Digital World is now divided, and only one thing can save it now…

Luna Bishop and Dustin Coleman
[Nearby Woods – Colorado, U.S.A.]

“Hey! Luna! It’s almost time for dinner! Come on, I give up already!” Yells a boy. He’s walking around in the woods, looking around him and yelling for someone. This is Dustin Coleman, a 12 year old boy living in a foster home run by the Bishop Family. “You don’t get to quit that easily, Dustin, c’mon and find me!” Taunts another voice back. A girl is sitting on a thick tree branch, watching Dustin from above. This is Luna Bishop, a girl the same age as Dustin, and only daughter of the Bishop Family.

She giggles a little as she watches Dustin hopelessly try and track her footprints on the ground. “I’m begging you by this point, come on! I’m starving, please come out!” He says as he slumps down at the base of the tree Luna is settled in. She stealthily creeps along the branch, sliding down the trunk to a lower branch, then hangs down off of it right above his head. “Oh, are you that hungry?” She asks, scaring Dustin half to death.

“Luna! Geez, girl, you could’ve given me a heart attack!” He said, clutching his chest as he regained his senses. “Not my fault you suck at hide and seek!” She said, sticking her tongue out playfully. “So, you said something about dinner?” She asked.

Before Dustin had a chance to answer, the two suddenly notice a bright light in the sky above them. It looked like some kind of tear in a pair of jeans. Suddenly to streaks of light zoomed out of it, like meteorites, and proceeded to crash deeper in the woods.

“What was that? Some kind of space rock or something?” Asked Dustin, looking towards where the objects landed. “Come on, let’s check it out!” He said afterward, rushing towards the location. “Dustin, Wait! Ugh, he never listens…” She said as she took off after him. She quickly caught up to him as he crouched behind a bush. “Shh, look.” He said, pointing towards two craters with light coming out of them.

“What are they…? UFO’s now?” She asked, Dustin breaking cover to step forward and investigate. What he found were two strange devices, each at the center of the craters, and each without a scratch on them. “Cell Phones?” He asked, sliding down into the foot deep crater and reaching to pick one up. “Dustin wait! They could be dangerous, weapons, who knows!” She said, but the words of wisdom fell upon deaf ears. He picked the device at his feet up. It had been pure white at first, but upon touching it, parts of it were now a cyan blue.

“I don’t know… but it changed color…” He said, Luna now very curious and reaching to grab the other one herself. Upon her touching it, the same parts that had changed color on the device Dustin held changed to purple on the one she now held. “This is so weird… I wonder who these belong to…” Said Luna, before suddenly being blinded by the light being emitted from the device. Dustin looked over as the same thing happened to him. Then everything went black.

The spots where Luna and Dustin once stood were now empty. The two children had simply vanished from the face of the earth.
As soon as Chars are moved over, and final details are made, I'll get up the first IC posts.

Digimon
Genesis

"In a Civil War, there is no winner. Both sides have lost, because they are the same side, pitted against one another. Is that a life we want to live?"

The Digital World

The Digital World was once a peaceful realm, where the Digimon lived under the protection and governing of a group known as The Council of Five. Comprised of the most powerful known Digimon, they ruled with a just hand, and would fight to the last breath to protect their world.

After the council completed a plan that would ensure the safety of the Digital World for eons to come, one of their members grew disillusioned with their plan, and turned on his comrades. This forced them to put their plan into action, and sent many strange devices to the Human World.

Now the world is a much different place. It has been divided into fifty different sectors, each under the guard of a ruling Digimon. Civil War reigns over them all, with The Digital Army overwhelming the Resistance of Light and Hope. Many Digimon remain neutral in the conflict, while others manipulate the conflict for their own unknown goals...

"United we stand, divided we fall, reunited we are undefeatable."

Factions of the Digital World

The Digital Army
The largest faction in the Digital World, they fight for Susanoomon, the one who turned on the Council and began the Digital Civil War. They are filled with powerful Digimon, ranging from Rookie to Mega and those in between. Betrayal is met with swift punishment, and often execution by Susanoomon himself. This group despises the Humans, and seek to capture, or destroy, any who they find.

The Resistance of Light and Hope
The smaller of the main warring factions in the Digital Civil War, this group remains loyal to Alphamon, leader of the Council of Five, and the Council. They believe that the Humans possess something that will save their world, and want to protect that power with their lives. Their goal is to defeat Susanoomon and their forces, and to find the Humans brought to their world.

The Neutrals
These are Digimon that refuse to fight in the Digital Civil War. They have refused to choose a side, and live out their lives as normally as possible in the different sectors of the Digital World. However, many times push comes to shove, and they are forced to pick a side. Although both the Digital Army and Resistance acknowledges their neutrality, there is little they can do when conflict finds them.

The Unknowns
These are Digimon that hold no allegiances to the Digital Army, nor the Resistance, but still actively participate in the Digital Civil War. Their ambitions are unknown, and little is known about who they serve.

"Some take it upon themselves to do what they cannot. It is only after they have seen past the lie that they can see the truth of the situation."

The Humans

The Humans chosen were chosen for a reason, for traits that each possessed. Because of this, they were brought to the Digital World and bestowed a device known as a Digivice. The device would turn into the color that best suited the trait that they possessed and were chosen for. How they used that trait, and sometimes discovered it for themselves, would be up to them to decide.

As for partners, there was not time to create Digimon suited for them, so they would have to find a Digimon who shared their feelings. Sometimes, with a little help from the Harmonious Ones, it would not be as difficult as it seemed. Only together could the Humans free the Digital World from its darkness.

Rules and Guidelines

Try and keep things PG. Cursing/Swearing is allowed, but keep it low on graphic sequences.

Drama IC is acceptable to an extent. Drama OOC is not acceptable and should be taken to a PM.

Death of characters is a REAL possibility. It doesn't just have to be due to inactivity, any character at any time could be killed for any reason, so be aware of the situation!

For the moment, I'm including only the basic Digivolutions (Standard, Warp, DNA). That means other forms (Armor, Matrix/Biomerge, Ancient Spirit, Fusion/Xros) will not be allowed at this time. I may change my mind in the future.

Basic Guild Rules Apply. Remember to be cool like the Fonz.
