Alright, so Grief basically will just see the ship fall, and like any child without inhibitions he will become curious and stomp towards it? Is that good?
Heh, simple enough XD I imagine the local guards would be at work keeping civilians from wandering off like ninnies to check it out, but I suspect he wouldn't care much about that XD
Should my character be around the Changlings in Equestria?
That might be rather odd XD given that changelings are pretty secretive and if a giant bratty pony is stomping around, there's probably a swarm attacking him XD and if a little one is, they'd probably never let him know they're there. Pretty likely, where-ever you are, you'll be able to notice the crashing ships.
Actually, that reminds me- what region of Equestria will the ships be crashing in?
That is a good question XD I've been contemplating that actually, and it kindof hinges on whether or not the ships should be particularly close to eachother, or landing fair distances apart to where it'll take some wandering to spot eachother... as well as how 'dangerous' of a location it might be >w>. I have ideas for how either one will work, and if nobody has a preference, i'll just flip a coin to decide which XD... I do like working a bit of chance now and then...
Alll righty! I am settling in to get to work, sorry again about the wait ;3 Are there any questions that someone needs answers? Suggestions for things to elaborate on or include? I'm certainly not perfect, there's probably some handy bits I've forgotten to put in! I'll be working on it till mid-night at least so by all means, take the opportunity ;3
Happy 4th indeed! Sorry bout my lack of activity yesterday, though I imagine most of us were busy anyway xD... My neighborhood is populated by a lot of irresponsible people with money to waste on lots of booze, which means money to waste on lots of fire-works.
Yesterday was rather busy, and very loud XD I can never tell if it's a gun or fireworks going off [not like 'bad neighborhood guns' but I think the people who live on the beach shoot at things in the water or something. I hear cannons sometimes too XD] There were also small fires to be put out XD
I'll get some updates done to the OOC after lunch, then get started on 'officially' accepting everyone's CSes XD then finishing mine and preparing something IC to get us started. Not sure if that last part will be today or tommmorrow... possibly the next day [Tommorrow is my mother's birthday, I have a feeling she's going to go grade-A bitch with my time.]
roleplayerguild.com/topics/173088-the… HERE WE GO! It's not 'complete', but it's functional at least, I'll be adding some more stuff before we're ready to start, but we can get our CSes tweaked or improved and put in the right place, get ourselves prepared for the actual start :D
It is a place that nearly every creature across existence will never live to 'hear' about, much less see... Now, that's not to say there aren't scores of those who have, there's simple such a scale of people who won't that it dwarfs it horrible... Ugh, I'm Rambling, my Apologies.
It is the space between Worlds, or universes, or Fragments, depending on who you ask, there's different words for all kinds of things, I should just stick to the most common yes?
As simply as I can put it, It is the Space between World Fragments, an unseen connection holding together countless worlds, creating some order in a plane of existence prone to chaos, keeping these worlds from drifting wantonly, impacting eachother, or soaring off into nothingness. There are endless theories about it, many philosophize on it's existence, but those who reside within most often call it the Zea of Worlds... yes, they have strange accents, It's more like a Sea comprised of stars and strange fragments of worlds coming from seemingly nowhere.
Navigating it is no easy task, and indeed traveling through it competes for difficulty... I won't go on 'too' long about it, it'll be best if you Virgin Travelers discover things for yourselves, but you should still know, the eyes are insufficient for understanding the Zea of Worlds, it is not a space filled with water, not even empty space, it is... Strange... an odd form of open space that almost feels 'alive', like it's watching you. It has been known to drive a man mad for staring into it for too long, but more immediately important, your poor little ships just weren't built to traverse this kind of space, It's a wonder they held together long enough to be deposited in another world at all! It's unclear why, but whatever threw you into the Zea of Worlds did not protect them from the phenomena that began to shred the engines and tear at the hulls...
Luckily, it did leave you close enough to one of these worlds that there wasn't enough time for the Ship to be 'entirely' destroyed... Good luck with that crashing though.
Character Sheet Skeletons
Image: If relevent :D but I don't mind if you just use text, though be descriptive if you do ;3
Name: Species: Age:
Source: [If relevent, what source material the character comes from, or is inspired by]
Appearance Description: [You know, relevent details, if you didn't use an image you'll want to be thorough here ;3 I prefer actual numbers for height and such, but otherwise do as you will :D ]
Personality:
Backstory: [We don't need whole stories filling this out, especially since some details might be kindof ambiguous until we've solidified the details surrounding out non-local player characters, but you can put out some stuff about their origins at least. I love seeing what comes out of people's imaginations :D ]
power section- These can be a bit confusing sometimes, and you can tweak this section to your liking, some characters might benefit from a different style XD
Skills: Knowledge and Experience based capabilities, like weapon or cooking skill, or out-standing learning.
Traits: Natural or Biological capabilities that aren't super-natural in origin or extent, whether it's extensive training and conditioning, biological refinement, or natural qualities like touch scales or unique biological qualities.
Powers: Generally things you can do that go beyond the norm for your species, or that qualify as externally supplied capabilities, or things that require something more than just your body's inherent qualities.
Equipment: This one's kindof obvious XD any kind of actual 'gear' you use.
This one's not required, even if you 'have' a ship, but more info never hurts ;3 the other suggestion to just describe it in the RP is also a fine option :D
[Now, This might not be the best it can be, don't be afraid to add more tabs to it if you like!]
Ship name: Origin: [who's responsible for building it XD] Captain: [who's incharge of the ship] Size: [doesn't have to precise unless you want it to be XD] Source of Long range Travel: Whether FTL, flicker jumping, relay sling-shot, and so on.
Offensive Modules: Weapons obviously, but any alternative methods of 'attack' it might have.
Defensive Modules: Shields, dodging capacity, armor, that kinda thing.
Original Crew:
How any Crew remain:
Sounds like a good idea to me! Another idea I had is that we could have a "character sheet" of sorts for the ships. Stuff like size, history, type of FTL, crew, how many crew are still alive, equipment on board and what survived, stuff like that. Alternatively, we could just describe it in the RP.
This is also optional, just for the people who want to be thorough ;3 Since we're all allies either way, some may technically possess micro-factions in the remains of their original crew, or ambient residents from the places we visit who might join one in particular.
[Much like the Ship CS, this one is also experimental, feel free to tweak as you please.]
Name: We're all on the same side ultimately, but your little group might have a different name for it's portion. Origin: Though strangers may join it, it still originated somewhere else.
Here I'll store information about the worlds we're visited, or 'are' visiting, and will update with bits that we learn about them. Some handy details may simply not be here yet, but will be updated when local information is heard. I may also pre-emptively fill out some bits that we're either likely to learn very quickly, or may be observed casually simply by looking or listening.
Equestria/Equus

I tweaked up a little map to help my suggestions :D
1: Thedman - A sort-of mountainous edge of the forest, Might be rough for the biggest ship we have in the RP [I think it is at least XD ] 2: Ranging wolf - The forest edge near the gorge, I thought it might have some... interesting encounters, for the space marines :D 3: Rune_Alchemist - The forest area just around the ruined castle, and perhaps the interesting gorge nearby >3> I'm sure our inquisitive little aliens will be all kinds of fascinated with it!... and what a crashing ship might wake up nearby! ;3 4:... ME! :D - I'll dump my junk-heap right in the middle of the forest, oughta be a handy land-mark for navigation XD hahah
From the MLP-verses, not a precisely canonical interpretation, but similar enough.
A world predominantly ruled by colorful little ponies and their remarkably larger leadership of ambiguous limitations. It's a world where almost everything is just 'more vivid', as if someone turned the saturation on 'life' up to near maximum and poured such color into things that other worlds look bland in comparison... It's also quite dangerous if you fall into certain areas.
With magic available to do... well, most things, the hasn't been the same push for technological advancement as with, say, humans, so it has often been allowed to go at it's own pace and often in highly imbalanced ways, to such a degree that different settlements may have entirely different technological combinations.
Like a Sprawling metropolis that's still using horse-drawn carriages and candle-lit lanterns.
Or an old wood and thatch style village where someone invented a gyrocopter or carries around complex organ like musical devices.
Or an artistically awe-striking capital city constructed of marble, gold, and magenta, looking like something out of greek fantasy empires, yet there are fully functional night-clubs with a full range of electronic music equipment capable of producing 'dubstep' of all things.
The technological state of Equestria is a hodge-podge of 'whatever someone felt like inventing' and 'whatever caught on as interesting to the populace', though there's little public knowledge about what the governing body permits or endorses researching in private or controlled manners, and little interest in prying.
Among the common technologies though, flash-lights, air-ships, steam-powered trains, manual gyro-copters, electric ovens and music players, even modern-like medical equipment, alongside coal heaters and candle-lamps, horse-drawn carriages, thatch-roof houses, and catapults.
