Thalassa

The words he mumbled echoed through Thalassa's ears. Striking her with each sound, each letter. Her pink eyes glanced over at the man. She wished she could know exactly what he felt, what he was thinking. Maybe than she could help him. She could know how to act, how to respond. She only knew really one thing she could do at the moment. And that was to get to know him. At least enough that she could feel more so responsible of getting him home. "Whats Your name?" she asked him softly, glancing up at him. She took in his features for another moment. His thick hair, his sharp eyes. The cheek bones that seemed perfectly smooth. Truly he was handsome in human terms. He was in mermaid standards.
Thalassa felt as though her mother would be proud of her decision to help this human. Which sparkled a beaming feeling. As if she was glowing. Her mother was her role-model. The mermaid she wished she could be. Never before had the merpeople had such a loving and generous queen like her mother had been. When the queen had been torn away from them, they had even built a statue of their beloved, but gone, queen. Thalassa was beyond grateful of the statue that had made. It helped with grief to be able to see her mother. At least in a chiseled rock form, it eased the pain of never being able to see her again.
