Fenrir the Lycanroc

Condition : Could be worse!
Location : ???
Status : Ghrg...I knew I shouldn't have tagged along...

They've been flying for quite a long time now. Normally in Steel you'd reach Ebony Cove all the way from Frosthelm at this point, judging by how fast the clouds are moving... There's not much to do in this flying metal box, except chat with the occasional person who sat next to him. The pilot's not even here to physically guide the thing! He might as well rest his body, if he doesn't already have the energy to take on a few more challenges. And for those who asked (or didn't), yes, he has already reunited with Hel during the timespan of the flight... Fenrir was just about ready to call it a day, taking a quick nap in the plane until they head back to this Lexcorp place... Must be the base camp for off-world visitors like him...

Unfortunately, his break was cut short by loud static. The Lycanroc jolted back up to find the source of the noise... Those loud circles inside the metal box are the cause of it... Before long, the loud noise was replaced with some... Uncannily cheerful music and an equally uncanny cheerful man. At least there's no more of that bossy guy from earlier, but this rock wolf can sense that they're as shady as him, if not worse. The bright light illuminating the previously inky black night sky wasn't a good sign either. It seems to be rapidly approaching closer and closer to the metal box they're in!... As the object of unknown origin crashes head-on into the metal box the latter has lost all remaining semblance of stability as it barrels straight to the ground... And as the box slams itself into the ground, everything went black for the Lycanroc...

...

Miraculously, Fenrir wakes up a few hours later. Slightly battered and bruised, but it could be worse. His first instinct is getting out of the plane and taking a look around him... "Aaagh. Can't take a break in this damn place... Hel?! Hel! Where are you?!!!..." First priorities would be to regroup with everyone else who he knows... Judging by the emptier aircraft cabin he was in, there's plenty of survivors, and some have even already made their way outside... He proceeds to follow their tracks. Maybe there's more to this hellhole than what meets the eye

Hel the Alolan Ninetales

Condition : Could be worse!
Location : Joker's... Funland???
Status : We should get out of here...

Thank Arceus Fenrir was alright in all that mess. It's a good thing she found him in relatively fine shape... Right. From now on, she'll try her best to stick together in this weird world... Hel nonchalantly looked off to her side, gazing at the clouds before... That dreaded announcement. She'd freeze their mouth shut, but since they simply communicated indirectly via those speakers, she couldn't do it. And as if things couldn't get any worse, right on cue a large thud shook the entire aircraft, sending it pummeling to the ground and crashing

"Aaagh. Can't take a break in this damn place... Hel?! Hel! Where are you?!!!..."

Hel woke up, slumped in between her seat and the one in front of her. Groggily opening her eyes, she looked around to find... Fenrir calling out for her name. She's slightly injured from the impact, but relatively still intact. Exiting the wreck she was in, she was surprised to see Fenrir, also relatively fine... The two nuzzled together for a brief moment, before getting back to business... It seems everyone else also survived the crash, miraculously enough. "Oh, thank Arceus you're alright... I thought I'd lose you again... Fair point... Where even are we right now?..." Hel looked around for signs, and luckily for her, she found one

"Joker's... Funland... Well, this doesn't look like a very pleasant place to be..." For starters it looks dilapidated, not helped by the numerous painted statues dotted around the place. Whoever did the decor for this place certainly hasn't gotten any awards, and they'd be foolish to think a rocket to the face is a good welcoming act... Whatever. Let's try to find a way out of this wretched place. But first... Looks like the two of them would have to find a group first, or make one of their own. Judging by that big fight earlier, splitting off would be a deathwish...
Fenrir and Hel are open for interaction! They're hanging around near the crash site!
So. Remember that bad feeling Hel had earlier? Well it turned out to be more than just a hunch. Hel watches as more and more people show up to the scene, pelting a certain troublemaker with every kind of attack one can imagine. Someone from the group on the adjacent building seems to be readying a beam attack of some sorts, only for their intended target to strafe away from it, leaving the attack to aim at... The building which the group she is with is on "... Oh cra-" And just like that, the previously unremarkable dark mage seems to show what they are really capable of. Hel watches as they dive down with their sword, deflecting the plasma attack back at the manic flying rascal it was intended to hit in the first place. But not before they send some explosives at the other building!... Not good... If only there's something she could do about it...

As for the Dark Mage... It seems they've got a trick up their sleeve... That landing didn't affect them whatsoever, and as she looks back at the manic flying rascal, she can notice a number of dark spheres surrounding them. Hang on... Are those Shadow Balls?! Humans can do that?!... Hel shakes her head in disbelief, before snapping back into it... Let's see... What CAN she do in a situation like this?... An imaginary Luminous Orb lights up in her head as an idea begins to jolt inside of her head like a lightning bolt. Before the building collapses, Hel fires an Ice Beam directly at the collapsing half, focusing on it so it would be able to make a pillar of ice. That should give everyone in there ample time to evacuate before the building inevitably collapses. Or so she hopes. She's not sure if they have more explosives on them, or if their fire thrusters will melt the wall anyways. It's a temporary solution, but for the time being, that's the best she could do

Still, nothing's stopping Hel from making her way to the ground. She decided to create an ice slide to help her get back to the ground easier, without the risk of being a target by climbing down the same way she climbed up. Weaving the icy slope around the floating Shadow Balls, she continues gaining more and more momentum. And as she reaches the approximate level where the hole in the other building is, she fires a couple more Ice Beams to help reinforce the ice pillar she set up. After all that, she continues on the rest of her way down, the slide reaching the ground and her eventually coming straight to a halt right next to Schezo. That was fun, she should do that again some other time. "So, what did you want to say to me earlier?..."

Hel anticlimatically climbed her way up the building's edge, standing back up once all four of her feet are on steady ground. With a chilly breeze blowing around her, she's now silently scanning the rooftop around her, the three individuals being a point of interest for her. Seems like these are what humans truly look like when they're not spirited away into the Pokemon world... At least, that's her current hypothesis, not having seen a single human in her life. Let's see... There's the tall one with silver hair and a hilariously long needle-type blade, there's the one in purple (nothing else on them stands out. Talk about subtle), and the one with yellow hair and a comically large sword behind him... How does he carry that thing anyways, it looks massive!... It's as big and as bulky as the hatchet Karkadann uses back in her guild, and even then it's normal sized for him! Either they really are that strong, or humans in general are just tough as nails...

Anyways, the one with yellow hair backed away and scanned her... The moment they perceive her as a threat, it's game over, she thinks to herself... Maybe they have an idea as to what is happening here?... " I'm assuming you were looking for a certain Superman?... I hope you wouldn't mind if I tagged along... I'm also looking for a friend of mine, after all..." If sticking in a group until she can find Fenrir in this mess is what she must do, then so be it. Let's hope the other two doesn't mind company... And that this won't turn into a wild Psyduck chase. She'll have to see where they take her... Hopefully she'll bump into Fenrir along the way...

And just then, she could hear explosions going on over in the distance. One, two, three, a whole bunch of them going off in sequence. Peering over to the side of the building, she could see a lot going on... It's like a battlefield down there... A trail of fire and flames, a building, miraculously still standing considering the gaping hole it has, with the same trail of flames (and someone falling off of it... That's not gonna be pretty), and a camp set up nearby... Let's see... If she was Fenrir, where'd she go?... " I wonder if those explosions have to do with anything... Should we go check it out?..." Considering they're about to leave anyways, it'd be wise to investigate that way... But somehow, she has a feeling that things are about to get a lot more intriguing...

Fenrir paid attention to the weird individual named Spamton G. Spamton... That's funny, their almost-synthethic and bizzare way of speech reminds him of a certain Porygon-Z he met back in Vast... One who sold him a sword that's basically unmeltable (which he discovered later on that not even a Magcargo could melt it). The nostalgia of his adventures in Vast came pouring back in, like a river of memories flowing in his mind. Fenrir's got Eric to thank for that. And to think he's been so happy in his new life as a Guildmaster he nearly forgot the friends he met along the way... He'll have to reunite with everyone else sometime in the future. Poppet, Language, Super, Larry... Everyone...

And it seems his initial suspicions are correct. That right there is Eric the Espeon. And the Lycanroc behind him?... Is none other than Fenrir himself, in the flesh. As Eric turns his back around after fixing up the Spamton fella, Fenrir can only reply weakly "Surpriiise- GHRK!" And before Fenrir could even continue, Eric charged at him and placed his paws on his cheek. Fenrir could do nothing but embrace the hug which followed afterwards. His fur is fluffy but rough at the same time, like a mix between cotton and gravel, in fact... Yep... It's been ages since they've met in person. He vividly remembers sending a messenger his way a couple days ago, but... This is different. And it's a lot better. It's been too long since they've met... "So good to see you here Eric..."

"Couldn't be better, actually!... I've finally got a guild of my own, along with Hel!... Speaking of... You seen her around? We went through some sort of wormhole and... We both got split up earlier somehow..." Fenrir proudly presents the lapel pin on his orange vest. It's a small circle, with an emblem inside of it and a gold outline... But anyways, as much as he wants to catch up with Eric, he wants to find Hel first. He's confident that she could handle herself. After all, she could take on Zero Isle... But in a place like this? Where neither of the two would have any idea what's going on?... It's simply best if the two just stick close with one another. "And uuuh... What's going on?... Where are we?... I am so lost right now..." There's so much more he'd love to ask, and those are just the tip of the iceberg. At the moment, a time out and some exposition on the current situation he's dealing with would be pleasant...

Somewhere in Frosthelm Town...

"Wa-wa-wait, Boss!... Are you sure about this?!... This doesn't seem like an Ultra Wormhole!...", the Porygon-Z exclaimed as a group of Pokemon are staring at what appears to be a rift, smack-dab in the middle of town. Everyone seems to wonder what it is, and even the local children of Frosthelm are trying to get a closer look out of curiosity. For all they know, it could be another one of those wormhole that those Ultra Beasts travel with. There has been several documented cases of it, but none of them has ever occured in Steel Continent. "I-i-it could be dangerous!... We shouldn't be out here trying to mess with it!...

It seems this Porygon-Z is panicking out of their mind as two Pokemon decided to step closer to the portal. One of them is a Lycanroc, and another an icy blue Ninetales. The Lycanroc turns back to the Porygon-Z, trying to reassure it."Relax, Pez. I have a feeling this is gonna take us somewhere interesting... And besides, it's not like Palkia's gonna punish us for it, right?..." The Lycanroc turns to the Ninetales, who nodded at their statement "What's the worst that can happen?... Anyways, if nothing's coming out of it... I assume it takes us somewhere... And I want to figure out where exactly it goes..."

"What about the Guild?!... If both of you aren't here, we're all digging our graves-" The Porygon-Z's panic was interrupted by the Lycanroc "We have Hanabi, we have you, and Agent... I'm sure you guys can take care of yourselves... Come on Hel... Let's get to the bottom of this..."

The Lycanroc steps into the rift, followed by the Ninetales as it closes behind both of them. And thus, Fenrir and Hel's tales in the omniverse begins...

If the image didn't show / link went wrong I took the image from the Burning Shadows Alolan Ninetales card

"Now... Let us dance"

Name : Hel

Age : 31

Gender : Female

Canon : Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (OC)

Main thread or sandbox : Main thread

Starting Location : ------------------------

Personality : Fenrir and Hel are like opposite sides of the same coin. Despite her elegant looks and gentle demeanor, Hel may slightly be more reckless than Fenrir. Sometimes she'll take on a Monster House by herself even when Fenrir asks to retreat. Whenever she's not busy doing Explorer missions, she fills her time with knowledge, be it reading or testing the boundaries of her knowledge with an invention or two. She may be more reserved than Fenrir, but once you get on her good side, expect her to be a loyal friend.

Equipment(s)

Medkit :A small pouch full of healing and medical items, with contents similar to that of a first-aid kit. Numerous Berries to cure a myriad of status effects, bandages, plasters and gauzes, and even a special compartment for Reviver Seeds

Hel's Journal :A messy, thick book with pages strewn all over it. Contains numerous schematics, sketches, common Explorer guides, and miscellaneous articles

Explorer Flashlight :A rudimentary source of illumination, essentially a Luminous Orb on a stick. Helps provide light in poorly-lit locations

Traveller's Cloak :A memorabilia of simpler times, this cloak is padded with several patches here and there, and the fabric's seen better days. Fenrir told Hel to get rid of it and get a new one, but it seems she couldn't let go.

Attributes

Pokemon Attributes : Much like any other Pokemon out there, Hel's physical attributes are far beyond most ordinary creatures. And her stats (offense, defense, speed and whatnot) will increase with combat experience

Cryokinesis : Being an Ice Type, Hel is able to manipulate ice and snow in a number of ways, as reflected by most of the moves she could use.

Snow Warning : An Alolan Ninetales' innate ability. It allows Hel to create a hailstorm to boost her Ice type attacks. She could also use a weaker version of this ability to cool the air around her, much like air conditioning.

Ice Beam : With this move, Hel is able to summon a bright blue beam which may freeze her opponents. Depending on the situation Hel may fire one large concentrated Ice Beam to hit a single target, or several smaller ones which are more spread out to hit multiple targets.

Blizzard : Hel can conjure a blizzard around her, which she could direct to target her opponent and may cause them to freeze solid. During a hailstorm, this move never misses.

Aurora Veil : A move that is both practical and stunning. Hel surrounds herself (and possibly her allies) with a veil of rainbow aura, allowing her to protect herself from attacks. This move only works during a hailstorm, and reduces incoming damage from magic type attacks

Hypnosis : Unlike regular hypnosis, this move gives Hel little control over her target's conscience, and must be done up close. It causes her opponents to fall asleep, and in the case they are already asleep when she uses it. The only indication of her using this move is her eyes glowing light blue

Snow Cloak : Despite not explicitly a move, Hel can produce ice crystals on her fur to act as armor, allowing her to fare better against physical attacks. This ties in perfectly with her Snow Warning ability, completely protecting her from hailstorms.

Backstory

Much like Fenrir, she's the only child in a family of explorers. Both Fenrir and Hel have been inseparable friends ever since their childhood, owing to the fact that all four of their parents were part of an exploration team. Of course, this meant that Fenrir and Hel are what you could essentially call child prodigies, learning everything about dungeon crawling and combat faster than most others could progress. They were soon accepted into a local guild as apprentices in a freelance program. Being resourceful and creative they devised a lot of simple yet effective tools to help fellow explorers in their dungeon-crawling experience.

From childhood, she's been interested in discovering new things. Be it a scientific breakthrough, a new invention, or just plain trivia. Whilst on their journeys, the both of them had a dream to run one of the most prestigious Guilds in the whole continent. Hel began sketching some designs at this point, jotting down concept sketches on her book. At the same time, she also started to dabble in researching, with Fenrir by her side to help her test out some of her creations.

Fenrir and Hel travelled across the world, gaining strength and experience from their explorations. After a long journey, they arrived at the Vast Continent (Just in time for a certain disgruntled Floette to flatten a mountain) They checked in to Traveler's Hub in Kanga Inn, and made friends with plenty of Vast's denizens. Despite the numerous strange incidents, world-ending threats and everything in between, they persevered. As of now, Vast is rebuilding from the disasters that plagued it in the past, and all is peaceful there... At least for now...

Unfortunately, they couldn't stay there forever. Fortunately, they would eventually discover a place they can finally call home. Fenrir and Hel decided to settle down in Frosthelm Village, a small mountain village located in Steel Continent. Fenrir and Hel began to slowly work their way, turning Frosthelm from a quaint village into a small town, which just so happens to have one of the best guilds in the continent (and some might say, one of the best in the world).

While Fenrir and Hel may have achieved their dreams, their adventure continues...

Other : Yes, their names are inspired by Norse mythology. Don't worry, it's just the two of them.

If it isn't showing btw he's a Midday Lycanroc IDK what happened to the link

"Let's do this!"

Name : Fenrir

Age : 32

Gender : Male

Canon : Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (OC)

Main thread or sandbox : Main thread

Starting Location : ------------------------

Personality : On the surface, he's just like every stereotype one can think of for a Midday Lycanroc. Loyal, calm, calculated, everything in the book down to a T. Unlike most of his species, however, he's far from reserved, and is always eager to socialize with anyone (and sometimes, anything). Despite his stoic looks, Fenrir is far from expressionless, and given a choice, he'd be the type to pick the neutral route. He likes to just relax and hang out with his friends.

Equipment(s)

Explorer's Satchel : A must-have for any explorer. Lined with numerous pockets and straps to carry as many items as efficiently as possible. Contains numerous items like Berries (Mostly Oran and Sitrus for healing, but there's a few others), Iron Thorns, Escape Orbs, Reviver Seeds, and Max Elixirs, just to name a few.

Iron Thorns : Commonly found in some of the tougher Mystery Dungeons (Or alternatively, forged by a blacksmith). Fenrir can throw these as projectiles accurately, despite his quadrupedal posture, to compensate for his lack of long-range abilities (Accuracy determined by dice roll)

Grappling Hook : A metal hook in the shape of a bird's talons, attached to a piece of rope. Perfect for climbing vertical surfaces, and much like the Iron Thorns, perfectly usable despite Fenrir's quadrupedal posture. It may also serve other purposes in combat too, as he recently discovers

Orange Vest : A plain orange vest (not shown on image) Fenrir wears. Made of regular fabric

Attributes

Pokemon Attributes : Much like any other Pokemon out there, Fenrir's physical attributes are far beyond most ordinary canines/lupines. And his stats (offense, defense, speed and whatnot) will increase with combat experience

Geokinesis : Being a Rock Type, Fenrir is able to manipulate rocks in a number of ways, as reflected by most of the moves he could use.

Stealth Rock : Using this move, Fenrir can lay a trap with numerous pointed rocks buried halfway into the ground, much like caltrops. Usually used in conjunction with Accelerock.

Accelerock : Fenrir's signature move, one only Midday (and technically Dusk) Lycanrocs can master, and a variation of Quick Attack. Upon using this move, Fenrir will be coated in a white aura and he'll receive a large burst of speed to charge at the opponent. Alongside this, Accelerock allows Fenrir to send rocks, pebbles and debris flying towards his target.

Stone Edge : With this move, Fenrir summons numerous jagged stone pillars from under the ground. He could use this move offensively, causing said pillars to rush at the opponent, or defensively, using said pillars as a wall to block attacks

Rock Tomb : Fenrir can create a barrage of rocks which fly straight at the opponent, restricting their movement if the move connects.

Backstory

The only son to a duo of explorers, Fenrir's been acquainted with exploring Mystery Dungeons for many years ever since he hatched. He and Hel have been inseparable friends ever since their childhood, owing to the fact that all four of their parents were part of an exploration team. Of course, this meant that Fenrir and Hel are what you could call child prodigies, learning everything about dungeon crawling and combat faster than most others could progress.
