My Very Brief Bio

Male, 31 years old. (So I'm practically dead, as we speak.)

Likes (other than writing and roleplaying): I'm into all genres of music. I love to cook. I love the outdoors, and walking through the park near my house. (Yes, really.) I read a lot of thriller/mystery novels. And I usually watch seasonal anime. (Or cooking shows. Because Western Media provides even fewer things that are worth watching.)

But as for my many other neglected hobbies, I've played basically every sport. (Soccer and Bowling being my favorite of the bunch.) And I'm trying to play more video games. (Going through my never-ending Steam library.) Plus, I've dabbled in making electronic & metal music, and I used to play a number of instruments. (Guitar, French Horn, etc.)

Hope you have a wonderful day!

No.

What is the weirdest thing you do or believe (that you're willing to share with the class) ?

Because life is suffering.
I did write a rant about Warframe sucking at "making its game hard". And how my interest in Elden Ring has grown substantially. But this is shorter.

Also, I was going to laugh at the Horizon Zero Devs (and a guy who helped create the worst Battlefield) whining about the latter's success. And how its now frequently topping the steam charts and beating Lost Ark in its 24 hour player count. (A game that just had to ban/remove millions of accounts for being bots.) So it's only made me root for its success harder.

But instead, I provide you with deals.

It's literally hundreds of terrible games (and other random shit) for ten bucks. But Baba is You is one of them. So there's that. Still good for nine days.

Also, because New World was mentioned at some point. I found a video that shows how much of a shitshow that became.

And Hbomberguy's new video is entertaining if you have three hours to kill.

Crisis averted.
This album had some fun moments.

A plumber, A scam artist, a cop, and young mormons all walk to my front door within an hour or so of each other...

There is no joke. It's just how my month started.
The Boondocks says hello. Aqua Teen Hunger Force too. Samurai Jack is top tier. And I will tolerate no slander of the 4KIDS One Piece theme but that's anime so it probably doesn't count

I would actually agree with the two adult cartoons. (Even if that wasn't exactly what I had in mind. I guess I didn't specify kids cartoons.) Then again, I'm sure there's more bad ones than good.

And not to commit a hate crime here. But I've yet to watch Samurai Jack to completion. (Seen episodes here and there.) So I don't have any nostalgia backing it up. (Thus, I just watched the intro on Youtube. Twice. To refresh my memory.)

And the intro itself is very well done in the art department. (Action/monsters/varied locals to draw said viewer in.) But the music?

I'm sure it's an earworm, since it rhymes and repeats the same words. Though it's a bit bland sounding...and the jack jack jack jack jack jack got a bit obnoxious the second time around. So I don't think that's a track I'd listen to outside of the cartoon. <.<' (Frankly, I'd skip it like a Netflix introduction.)
I find your take surprising, not wrong or offensive, just surprising! I felt like the second season was my favorite. In my eyes MT is defined by wanting to escape what she isn't/doesn't want to be, rather than those things she was forced to be (as Tulip's reflection). It's a character I think a lot of young people can empathize with in that regard. People are after her for being unique/going against the grain and she feels the need to hide her true self while also craving nothing more than to be free. I love seeing how different people see shows and characters differently. Thought I'd throw my own to cents in the mix.

My enjoyment from the 1st season primarily came from the comedy. Which is as subjective as it comes.

So I can 100% understand why you'd like Season Two the most. I think it does the lore/world-building bits the best there.

I think my biggest pet peeve, no pun intended, is how the comedic sidekick horse creates a lot of the problems. (Compared to OneOne in the first season. When he had plot relevant reasons to do so.)

But I really do wish more cartoons were this plot-centric.

So I watched the first season of "Static Shock". (Because it's another beloved show that I never saw growing up.) And I can totally see the appeal of it.

The characters are likeable, and even the "message" episodes aren't handled too badly.

However, I stopped at Season Two. Because it suddenly became a season of cameos. And celebrity cameos are my least favorite gimmick in shows of this era. (And I didn't know how much I'd be able to tolerate it.)

Plus, the music in this show is pretty bad. But, what rap theme song is good in this era of cartoons?
I've watched things on Amazon. (and with a friend, so I was more likely to finish them.)

Reacher is pretty entertaining throughout. If not a bit predictable. With the lame bad guys, and their final showdown being it's only two major failings. (Though I could imagine someone else getting more affected by that.) 7/10 (If you don't think too hard about it.)

Wheel Of Time and cliches feels like a 4 out of 10 for its first season. Watchable, I suppose. Despite some of its incredibly petty, bitchy and unlikable cast. But not a whole lot of substance/development happens in this prologue story. Aside from me questioning a lot of plot/character decisions that don't make any sense.

Note, I haven't read the books. But I know that these have very little to do with the actual source material. And the "twist/change" it has on the very premise of the book, doesn't make a whole lot of sense in this show's story either.

But it's been nice to have something brainless to do.
