Why do people have an issue with a disabled person *playing* a disabled character? I always make people aware I have disabilites and how they can impact me in terms of reply times, needing reminding to respond, etc.
I get "yeah but playing as an autistic/deaf character is still wrong you're making the disabilities seem like fiction and making me feel uncomfortable playing against a disabled character/writer" as if I am doing it to be an arsehole.
As someone who is autistic and ADHD, it is very hard for me to write a 'genuine' neurotypical OC, and I've had people tell me they're 'uncanny' and 'robotic.'
Hello, hello! I'm Smiley, and I'm here to talk about a little idea I've tried to on other platforms, but it hasn't got much traction.
But first, here's a little info about me:
I'm a trans guy, if that matters, and I've been out for a good six months. If you have a problem with that, don't message me. Believe me, I've thought about it long and hard.
I've been writing for about five years, and I've been writing smut for two of those years. I'd like to roleplay with someone who has some experience in RP.
In terms of post frequency and length, I can usually post multiple times a day, and my posts don't have an exact length, but they can range from a few sentences of dialogue to multiple paragraphs to describe a new character or setting.
I tend to become inspired by the media I consume, and I sometimes base my characters loosely off characters from my favorite media, but they're not copy and paste versions of that character, they have their own attributes and such.
I am very friendly OOC, and if it is okay with you, I will send you memes I think are funny, recommend games, manga, or shows I like, link songs I think our characters will like, or even music from my personal favorite artists. I'm getting back into drawing, too, so I might draw a few things for you if I'm up to it.
With all that being said, I don't want to jump into fleshed out plots, as I believe that every story should be different, and the essence of roleplaying is us collaborating on a story together. Below, I'll list a few of my favorite pairings. BOLDED means I will play male for the role, and Italics mean I will play female for the role, UNDERLINED means I will play both. You may play whatever gender you would like, unless stated otherwise. I will also include a preferred Plot/Smut ratio for each pairing, but this can change depending on your preference
Monster x Human (I love fluffy romance for this one, like, tooth-rotting levels) 60/40
Demon/Succubus x Human 60/40
Demon/Succubus x Angel (Slow burn elements are my favorite for this pairing) 85/15
Vampire x Human 70/30
Villain x Hero (Slow burn is accepted) 90/10
Please ask if you have any ideas! I'm a very open book.
Here are my favorite fandoms as well! I do not want smut for these ideas.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure - I have read up to part 4 in the manga. I prefer Stands over Hamon. I will not be playing in the SBR universe because I haven't read it up to part 7-9 yet.
Pokemon - I have been playing the games since I was a wee little one, I can play in any region.
Lethal Company - I have well over 200 hours in the game, solo.
Hello, hello! I'm Smiley, and here's my first 'dump-style' RP ad. I've had these ideas floating around for a while and couldn't think of massive walls of text for each one. I plan on editing this frequently as my interests change, so this will be rather fresh.
These plots could or could not include romance. They don't need to, but if that's what we decide on, so be it.
Here's some info on me before I start rambling:
I use she/her pronouns
I'd like to RP with someone 16 or over
My replies are fast, but if the RP does not interest me, I will lose the motivation to write. I will tell you when I get bored, I expect you to do the same.
I have ADHD, and I will hyper-fixate on RPs that I like, talk to you about them, ask you questions about them, and obsess over them. If it gets annoying, let me know.
My replies are shorter, ranging from a one-liner of dialogue to a few paragraphs if I'm really into it.
Bad grammar and punctuation are some of my biggest pet peeves.
I can RP in PMs or Google Docs.
Anyway, HERE! WE! GO!
In a world much like this one, society is plagued by the existence of demons, foul creatures that feast on human flesh to survive. The only things that stand between the innocent and the bloodthirsty demons are Exorcists, specially trained individuals who kill demons swiftly and efficiently with weapons created to bane the demons.
A demon could corner Y/c, or maybe even in the process of being attacked and devoured by it, when suddenly, an Exorcist (M/c), comes to the rescue, slaying the demon and saving Y/c. Y/c begs M/c to become an Exorcist, and M/c obliges. After all, there has been an outbreak of powerful demons, and a new recruit won't hurt.
Every other year, angels are sent down to Hell to exterminate demons in order to tamp down the possibility of demonic Overlords rising to power in order to rebel against Heaven. One such Cleanse ends horribly at the hand of a Dealmaker-turned-Overlord Amaimon. Y/C, an angel, has been assigned a special mission to terminate him or subdue him in another way. Amaimon, on the other hand, is now turning angels against their good natures, corrupting them into formidable monsters that only make him more dangerous.
Will they succeed, fall under his dominion, or be persuaded to ally with him? The choice is yours.
NOTE: Demons are different in these two plots since they're set in different worlds.
In the big city, two performers decide to put their skills together to make it big. At first, their romance is a facade in order to attract attention, but as time goes on, their feeling become much more real.
For this one, I was thinking it could be a slow-burn, but if things go well, things go well, I suppose. We can write our own songs for this or figure something else out.
Our characters have been kidnapped from their homes as children to be experimented on. After such experiments, the subjects gain supernatural powers, then they are sold to the highest bidder. One night, they devise a plan to escape, and they have to learn to adapt to the outside world along with avoiding capture.
Note: BOLDED means I would like to take the role of that certain character.
