The weather was disgusting.

Three days into his first week after arriving in England, and Yang Sada hated living there. The sultry atmosphere of America was what summer truly was, and he was having difficulty adjusting to the gloomy environment. Even though he experienced numerous different climates and changes in his surroundings back in America, there was something about flying to the other half of the world that bothered him. Not only that, but his respectable sleep schedule had been thrown out of proportion.

"You'll get used to it, Yang," his mother would say, rubbing his shoulder.

The boy was not particularly interested in getting out of bed; Yang had slept in, once more. Rubbing his temples, he reached for the end of his bed and patted around until his fingers laced along the exterior of his cell phone. He raised it above his face and shielded his eyes from the villainous light with his other hand, peering through the crevices. The clock read 1:53 in the afternoon, followed by two missed conference messages from his mother. Yawning, he tapped the side to raise the volume, and played the first one.

The screen of his phone extended a display before him, legions of data instantaneously assembling into a hologram that consisted of an image of his mother's head, just above her collarbones. Color filled the picture soon after, detailing every little feature of his mother's face as her smile began to move.

"Your dad and I have some business to do for the day; I need you to run to the market, and buy some snacks for our visitors tonight," she stopped briefly, a laughing expression on her face as her eyes moved back to him. "I left a list and some money on your table. Thank you so much! I'll see you tonight."

Sighing, Yang closed the message and scrolled to the second one, sitting upright to stretch.

"Oh! I almost forgot," his mom smiled widely, her hand coming into the hologram as her fingers showed a "victory" sign. "I love you, honey! Be safe!"

Yang's lips curled up slightly as the message closed. Even though his parents were always busy and not around as much as he would have liked, he knew that they cared for him dearly. When he was young, he remembered when they told him that the reason he was their only son was so that they didn't have to love anybody else except for him. Feeling warm on the inside, he took a breath and rose from the bed, a small smile on his face.

People did not look at Yang as he sifted through the crowds, and that was how he preferred it to be. With his hands in his pockets, his eyes remained glued downward with the occasional glance upward to make sure he was headed in the right direction. Yang's parents had taken him on a walk around Goldcrest on their first day, and it was his job to familiarize himself with the neighborhood. As the market boomed around him, he stopped momentarily to peer at the list he was given.

"Okay..." Yang mumbled as he got a basic understanding of the list, but as he put it back into his pocket, he felt his body fall forward as a man shuffled past him. He grumbled as he fell to the ground and the man continued without a notice, puffing his cheeks and exhaling loudly to vent his frustration.

Username: Solace

Name: Yang Sada

Age: Fifteen years old → Twenty-five years old

Gender: Male

Country of Origin: China → United States

Role: Vongola Famiglia Associate/Student → (Future) Eleventh Generation Guardian of Cloud

Flame: Cloud

Weapon/Fighting Style: Yang uses a chain with a medium-sized sickle attached to the end; he can wrap the chain around his arm to use the sickle as an extended blade, or use it to hook an enemy. This is his only means to fight or defend himself, at the moment. In the future, Yang lives up to his predecessor's strength and reputation, and is a powerful member in the ranks of the Guardians.

Personality: Yang is very insecure about opening up to others; though not emotionally distant, his difficulty to hold meaningful conversation and fear of being held on the spot make him angst about interaction, which develops into his diffidence. His lack of social development can make him out to be immature sometimes, generally looking at unintended negativity like criticism as a personal attack to his character and rendering an impulsive reaction from the boy. Yang is relatively apathetic towards the idea of being selected as the Cloud Guardian candidate, as well as anything related to the status; he looks to strengthen himself as a person through the experience, and even then, is not that bad of a person once people get to know him.

History: Born in China, Yang Sada grew up in the presence of his uncle moreso than his own parents, who were associates of the Vongola Famiglia - his Japanese father and Chinese mother were whistleblowers of the Yakuza and Triad crime organizations, choosing to defect and elope after giving information to the Vongola about their operations. Both of the organizations settled their differences and temporarily aligned themselves together, aiming to hunt down Yang's family in revenge for their betrayal.

Through the years to come, his province in particular began to grow more dangerous from the rising Triad-Yakuza alliance who had begun to close in on their hidden family residence, leading Yang's parents to take their son to the United States. Not wishing to leave their home behind, his uncle stayed back to watch over their family's long-preserved residence. Because of the lack of relatives to take care of him as a result, his parents took to raising their son together while continuing their association with the Vongola, requesting to only receive jobs from within the United States.

Because of his, Yang moved around the many states all his life, never truly able to develop long-standing friendships or significant attachment to his settings. He would have to throw it all away once more at fifteen years old, when his parents took him to England under an emergency.

Quirk: Yang has a habit of puffing his cheeks whenever he is annoyed, and likes to eat the toppings of a pizza before eating the actual pizza itself. In cars, he always takes the window seat, and is very fascinated by people with glasses.

Overview: Soft-spoken and gentle, Yang Sada's social fragility and occasional child-like mannerism speak none about his longing for a stable friendship. His condiment-eating habit reflects his arbitrary interest in picking out the details of people's personalities, and his desire to possess those traits.

Present Theme Song:
This is a casual roleplay. I don't see why wanting quality is a bad thing. It's just criticism.
We put work into roleplays and hope they even last long enough so our work would pay off. I don't think it's wrong to analyze a character sheet and say something is out of place. It helps others see what they should not do for their own characters, as well.
It's time worth spent editing if you really want to be in the roleplay.
Just a short summary of everything. Kind of like a TL;DR.
Thanks Le. Hopefully we can get the ball rolling.

hey this loser you had to help me write it
I'm only in charge of future stuff, not current stuff. >_>

Illyan gritted his teeth, a hardening expression plastered on his face. All dynamic entrances and dramatic monologues aside, the fact that the gathering of the two Houses had came to a horrendous frustrated him greatly. It was like sitting between two children, both competing on who had the bigger toy ship; he would be lucky to still have his sanity before the hell called marriage, if he even lived to tell that tale.

"All of the information appears to only stem from rumored sightings," Silzard answered, turning to Illyan and pointing at the scroll beside his chair. The boy, nodding, took the scroll and unrolled it at the center. Its contents consisted of a map of Sariwon, scattered markings littered across each individual province and stretch of land with small, but concise handwriting acting as notes located along the right of the map. "The following parchment and its proportions were drafted by our mage, Travard."

"Each individual mark is a report involving these foreign creatures," Silzard waved his hand across the map. "As you can see, there are a concerning amount of cases in our country."

"But," Illyan followed up on Silzard's statement, clearing his throat as he hovered over the map with focused eyes. "You may have noticed that there is a specific area where the density of the marks appears concentrated, compared to the sporadic distribution."

Illyan placed a finger atop of the described area. "A fishing town by the name of Nanrao, located in the southern wetlands. This would be the ideal area to conduct a preliminary investigation."
Sorry everyone, I'm finishing up the post now! It's taken a longer time than usual, but it'll be up.
I'd say its better to keep to the core story, as fun(ny) as that may sound. Only adding/suggestion tidbit and the like as we progress.

Now that I think about it, can the drakes have different colors? If so, I think mine will be either blue or green.

Yeah, that's how I prefer anyway. I don't enjoy pre-planning a lot (actually against it), but I like to keep ideas of what types of events I'd like to occur in a certain proximity of time relevant to the plot's current position.

As for the wyverns/dragons, I think it would make a lot of sense for them to have different shades of scales and whatnot. Like, adding on to what Ambra said, the non-earthly colors (brown, etc) could be attributed to whatever country of origin said wyvern is from.

Good news. My personal crisis was handled far faster than anticipated, so now I'm home. I'll get a post up soon.

Lorelei can take the Lord position at the nearest IC convenience, but I guess others will handle Silzard until that time arrives.

I'm glad to hear that. At least we have some good coming our way. :p

Given that Slizard's original creator kind of just up and left in a very brief manner, it's no secret that I'll definitely be killing Slizard off at some point (or something happens that causes him to leave for an indefinite amount of time that just so happens to be forever, dunno).

It's just a matter of when, and how. I don't want to just have an arrow fly through his brain at the beginning of a skirmish, is all I know. :d
Let's continue on with the roleplay. I at least know who the true 18+ are. :^)

All memes aside, I'll likely have a post up tomorrow. I might also control Slizard alongside Ambra to try and move things faster, but I also might not if I have an inconsistent representation of the character. I don't think it'll be too difficult.

From our last little ordeal, is there any idea that anyone would want to suggest for anything? Like, I don't know, <country name> has flying pigs and <other country name> is trying to steal them?
