Arata is a somehow delicate looking young man, having an overall lean build, average height (174 cm/5'8½"), abnormally pale complexion and fair, feminine looks that would be described as beautiful rather than handsome.
His long white hair is usually wore in a way that clearly denotes care, with his bangs - that can easily reach his his nose at their longest - being tied in a way that makes them orderly fall over his forehead to avoid bothering him during fights. The main body of his hair is normally tied in a single ponytail in the back and two long bangs in the side of his head.
Overall, his whole self is bound to produce the image of a young man lacking any visible tarnish that could possibly denote having ever faced harshness during his whole life, almost like the pampered child of a rich traditional family... At least in the surface. If someone truly paid attention to him, though, they'd quickly notice that body hidden under his loose clothing is clearly different from the overall fragile feel that he gives, as in spite of his seemingly delicate appearance, he not only has quite muscular physique but also seems to be heavily marred with scars, mostly results of his heavy training and past fights as a Shinobi.

Personality】
Being abandoned and thrown in a far away continent before he even had his fifth birthday and forced to live amongst people who only kept him for his potential as a tool to earn more profit, it isn't surprising that Arata grew up to be an highly individualist person with a tendency of automatically distrusting those around him e effectively trying to avoid getting close to people, being well known amongst his associates for having the kind of attitude that automatically makes one think that the whole world and everyone inside it displeases him. He's prone to openly ignoring people and - when finally forced to reply due to the sheer insistence of the other party - talking informally to everyone independently of their position and being purposefully blunt or cold in his replies and statements for the sole purpose of keeping others away from himself.
He obviously does not trust others easily and seems to be uncomfortable with the idea of becoming closer to other people, supposedly valuing his own safety above anything else and only doing things either for the sake fulfilling his own needs, finishing the mission assigned to him or following his urge to become a stronger Shinobi independently of the price, being seem as an individual that will seemingly not think twice before sacrificing others for the sake of either the successful completion of his mission or a chance of becoming stronger.
With that being said, it isn't wrong to say that - despite his usual attitude - Arata is ultimately away softer in the inside that his sister: He not only has a soft spot for children and loathes the idea of hurting those who can't defend themselves but - In complete opposition to his ancestors - effectively hates killing and trying to avoid it as much as possible - though that's hardly that easy when considering his position. On the opposite of popular belief, he also legitmaly agonizes over the difficult decisions he had to take in the course of his missions to avoid failure in spite of how he doesn't falter even for a second before taking them.
In the end, even if he keeps a tough facade and hides his emotions even from himself, Arata actually does care for the people around him but is away too scared of effectively recognizing that and forming bonds to openly show it, fearing abandonment to the point that even his overwhelming need for strength is a direct result of him wanting so much to keep himself from being left behind that he effectively strives to be strong enough for others to feel the need to depend on him.

History】
Like his sister, Arata was born in a faraway land, far from the everlasting conflict that cursed the Shinobi since the times when chakra was first used for the purpose of killing - a beautiful place devoid of any chaos where they could be truly free... Or so he was told by Yogensha, for Arata himself was never even given the chance of creating any fond memories of his homeland.
He was merely two when his parents mercilesly decided to send eastwards with a clan of traveling merchants with no one but his slightly older sibling to call family, passed off by his parents like they were.. dead weight - something that his sister came to describe as natural - like a bird throwing their young out the nest, this was their parents way of saying 'grow up'. On the opposite of his sister, that immediately reacted with all her forces from the first moment as they where forced into an unwanted journey to Sunagakure, the young and innocent him took away longer to understand the situation and never quite understood or forgave their decisions: It didn't matter for him that it was the only way they knew or anything of the genre, the only thing that mattered was that they abandoned him before he even knew their face, and he could never bring himself to understand that.
Even the journey would become naught but an immense blur in Arata's memory with time, as he could barely recall anything from its start and only vaguely remembered something about how... Weird Sunagakure was when compared to what he previously knew. From the very start, it didn't even matter for him where they were going to or what they were going to to: He was more than satisfied with just following his sister's decisions and follow her through her wanderings, trekking through the desert together to find and explore new lands. It was only natural for him to do so since he never even had the opportunity to grow up sheltered for enough time to develop his own drivings on the opposite of his sister. In the end, his sole certainty was that as long as he followed the only family he ever knew.
Ultimately, he was far from being right: During their travels the two Kaguya siblings would be ultimately picked up by Kirigakure operatives who had been sent out to collect the two presumed orphans. It was originally a simple retrieval mission to take two kids off the road and into an orphanage but quickly became more when it was evident the two came from the dark continent: from then onwards, they'd stopped being possible assets and effectively became actual tools that could lead to a whole new era of profit.
It took months of investigation for them to realize that a kid as young as him couldn't possibly know anything important about the new continent, and everything they gave in return for these years of interrogation was the privilege to be kept as a pet hidden under the guise of special privileges, treated as something of a guest of honour at times, an exotic animal to be shown off at other times and ultimately naught but slaves to the will of some powerful official.
It waa only after his sister entered service for the Chūsei Kokoro Hoji-sha and Arata started to demonstrate not only an abnormal potential in both Ninjutsu and Taijutsu but also a high affinity to his clan's kekkei genkai that the siblings effectively started to hold enough influence to keep a stable position without having to depend on anyone to keep themselves alive and well and even that could do nothing but reinforce Arata's singular belief that only by becoming more powerful than anyone else he could hope to be free and happy like his sister once described in their childhood, driving him into searching strength in any way possible even at the cost of his own life and ultimately leading him to his actual situation as one of the members of the expedition to the new continent.

Special Traits】
Kaguya Physiology - As a Kaguya, Arata not only has bones that are absurdly more durable than normal person's - to the point of being considered as nigh invulnerable - but also seens regenerate in a superhuman speed, being mostly unmatched when it comes to survivability alone. He also seems to be highly resistant to poisons and drugs as a whole due to his unique constitution.
Abnormal Physical Might - Being being mostly focused on taijutsu and wholeheartedly dedicated to improving himself, Arata naturally has a boderline superhuman physical might despite his deceptively lean appearance.
Capable Swordsman - While he isn't truly as specialized at wielding a sword as most believe, Arata is still classified as an moderately skilled swordsman due to his insistence in training swordsmanship as a way to keeps his kekkei genkai as a secret.
Taijutsu Expert - While not comparable to more illustrious members of his lineage in the past, Arata is undoubtedly a qualified taijutsu user in his own right.
Lightning Release Expert - Despite living in the Hidden Mist Village and being capable of using Water Release, Arata's obsession with becoming stronger directly made him opt to concentrate his studies on Lightning Release - a nature much more directly suited for combat in his personal opinion.
