I am a 25 years old woman from Belgium, Europe. You can always send me a message to chat or about a roleplay. Even though I can be pretty busy at times, I always inform my partners when I lost interest or when I want to stop a roleplay for a different reason. This means that if I haven't replied to a roleplay yet, I didn't have time yet. I didn't ghost you. Since I regularly check the site on my phone, my replies OOC whould be fairly fast (if you keep my timezone in mind).
I can play as both male and female characters with a preference towards FxM and MxM pairings. Additionally, I can play multiple characters at the same time. I prefer to double (as in both playing a male and a female character), but this is absolutely not a requirement. I absolutely love romance in roleplays, but I tend to not include smut as it easily takes over the plot and that is quite boring to say the least.
I prefer my roleplays to be situated in either modern times or the future, since I am not interested in researching a time period in order to write about it in the roleplay. Also, I mostly use fictional locations. The reason for this is that I haven't been outside of Europe (except for two vacations in Egypt when I was a child that I hardly remember) and I am not willing to do a lot of research those countries in order to write about them in the roleplay.
Romance, drama, horror/thriller and slice of life are the genres that I have the most experience with, since there is a lot of describing the situation and a lot of dialogue. I have the least experience with fighting scenes, so please don't judge my fighting scenes as I am trying and learning. Since I mentioned horror/thriller, let me tell you that I have absolutely no limits with dark themes. If you have any, tell me BEFORE we make our characters. Do not be angry at me if you didn't even tell me about the topics that are sensitive for you and I happen to use them unknowingly. If you tell me about sensitive topics, I will ALWAYS avoid using them, no matter what they are.
I can work with long, short and no character sheets. My preference goes towards sharing a picture, name and age before starting the roleplay. I am most comfortable with using anime pictures, but I can also use pictures of real people if it's my partner's preference.
If you aren't sure that our writing styles are compatible, please ask me for a writing sample beforehand. Don't ghost me or reject me right after I wrote an intro post to our roleplay. That's just a huge waste of time for both of us. Of course if you find out during the roleplay that it's not for you anyways, you can always tell me (please do instead of ghosting).
Topics that I am ALWAYS willing to write about: - the Fairy Tail universe - Demons and/or angels coming to Earth - the Apocalypse concept - the Big Brother concept - a Jumanji inspired story (either old or reboot) - an adult version of Miraculous or Precure
@Akayaofthemoon I am glad to see that someone takes an interest in the roleplay! You can reserve the anywhere key, I'll put in the first post that it is taken :)
I have had this idea for a while and finally decided to post it.
This roleplay is based on the Netflix series 'Locke & Key', but I have my own version (so you don't have to know the series to be able to play a part in this roleplay) as this roleplay will take place some time after the series (you can assume that the main characters from the series have died many years ago).
A couple of teenagers (between the ages of 14 years and 18 years old) live in the town of Matheson, Massachusetts near Key House.
Key House with the Well House (an old building with a well) in the right corner.
Key House is still in the possession of the Locke family. Some of you can play children of the current Locke family who lives there, others will be friends or distant family members or neighbours.
The magical keys are divided between the teenagers (inform me which magical key your character will have before you post your character sheet!). I have selected the following keys (I can add more if there is enough interest):
- The Matchstick Key, which allows you to set fire to the surface of anything the key touches
- The Anywhere Key, which allows you to go anywhere in the world by putting the key in the keyhole of a door and imagining a door you have seen before (can be at a photo) at the place you want to go. This key is taken by @Akayaofthemoon.
- The Head Key, which allows you to go inside someone's head by putting the key in the back of that person's neck. Once the door to someone's head has been created, you're able to go inside (and bring others), where you can interact with memories as well as remove or add things, including memories, knowledge, or emotions.
- The Music Box Key, which allows you to control people through voice commands when you put the key in the music box and open the music box.
- The Plant Key, which lets you control any plant by putting the key in the plant (so if you put the key in a tree trunk, you control that tree).
Apart from the npc's, I will also be playing the antagonist and I am not going to reveal who he or she is yet (as it is a mystery in the series too). So you won't know which one of my characters is a normal npc and which one is the antagonist. The antagonist I play is a demon from another universe with the Identity Key in their possession.
The Identity Key allows them to transform their appearance. However, they can't use The Identity Key to turn into someone who exists or used to exist. They can use it by putting the key underneath their chin.
The antagonist will use the Identity Key to act as several characters. One of them is shown to the main characters, others are hidden as normal npc characters.
The antagonist will send people they have manipulated to the teenagers in order to threaten them into giving them the keys. They want to gain all the keys and rule the world. Meanwhile both the antagonist and the teenagers are in search of the Omega Key which opens the Black Door in the sea caves (caves close to the sea) near Key House.
Behind the Black Door, one can find the origin of the demon. The teenagers want to open it and put the antagonist back to where it came from, the antagonist will try to lock the teenagers out there after which they die.
In this story, the teenagers try to lead their normal lives at school and at home, while trying to stay alive and not losing their keys. Moreover, it is very tempting to just play with the keys and to misuse them for your own good.
It's been six years since Fairy Tail defeated the black mage Zeref, the dragon Acnologia and the Alvarez Empire with the help of the other guilds. The Magic Council is becoming more and more strict with the day to make sure that they know exactly what is going on. The mages in guilds cannot act as they please anymore, have to demand rewards way too high and give part of the reward to the Magic Council. Most of the mages are just happy to still be in a guild and earn jewels, but others are angry and want to stop the Magic Council at all cost.
The River Rebellion consists of both mages and non-mages who want to stop the Magic Council. The rebellion is lead by Felicia Rosewood and is growing each day. In order to convince the Magic Council to let go of their strict rules, the rebellion has to fight all the guilds who agree with the Magic Council... and that's a lot of guilds.
Near the river in Magnolia's East Forest, the rebellion can be found. The members, and even brothers and sisters of those members who are still too young to fight, live in treehouses to hide from the guilds who want to stop them. It has almost become small city.
~~~
When the roleplay starts, it'll be Wednesday 12th of August in the story. It's evening and an orphan with his or her little brother travel to the rebellion with no other place to go. One of you can play these if you want to. If no one wants to play the orphan, I will.
You have to post at least 1,000 chars (as shown in the right corner when you write a post) and you have to post at least once a week.
This is the guild mark of the rebellion:
~~~
Your character sheet consists of the following parts: - an anime picture (no drawn or real life ones) - a full name - gender - age - birthday - Location and color of guild mark (they are a guild, but they are a dark guild) - magic or non-magic (define if they can fight, you have to at least play one who can fight) - magic rank (if applicable) - magic type (if applicable) - spells (if applicable) - if you are a non-magic who can fight, tell me more about how you fight - equipment (if applicable) - personality (at least one paragraph) - family (if applicable) - history (at least one paragraph)
Post your character sheet in OOC first and if it is approved, you can move it over.
~~~
Name: Felicia Rosewood Gender: Female Age: 30 years Birthday: September 15th Guild mark: The front of her left shoulder, crimson Mage: Yes and she can fight Magic Rank: She is the master Magic Type: Plum Hair Magic
Spells:
- Hair Tornado: The user throws their hair in circles around herself. The ends of her hair rip off, so a sort of rainfall of hair is created, which gives everyone who is hit by some of the hair extreme muscle aches. However, everyone around her can be hit by this move, friend and foe alike.
- Hair Barricade: The user throws their hair from left to right. The ends of her hair rip off, so a sort of wall of hair is created, which gives everyone who is hit by some of the hair extreme muscle aches. This muscle aches are worse than with 'Hair Tornado', but 'Hair Barricade' hits less enemies. Everyone who stands in front of her can be hit by this move, friend and foe alike.
- Hair Shower: Thousand Birds: The user elongates their hair and fires several bundles of hair straight at the target. If this move is being used for too long, it becomes very tiring for the user. This move doesn't have a paralysing effect.
- Hair Shower: Wolf Fang The user elongates their hair and shapes it into the front half of a large, furry wolf, complete with clawed forelegs, blank eyes, a canine nose, pair of ears and a mouth full of massive sharp teeth, which is sent at the user's target. This move doesn't have a paralysing effect.
- Hair Whip The user elongates their hair and uses it as a whip against their opponent. This move gives extreme muscle aches each time it hits the enemy. When being hit too many times at the same body part, that body part becomes paralysed. This is Felicia's favorite move.
- Hair Shower: Million Birds: The user elongates their hair and fires several bundles of hair straight at the target. If this move is being used for too long, it becomes very tiring for the user. This move gives extreme muscle aches and is an improved version of the move 'Hair Shower: Thousand Birds'.
- Hair Shower: Wolf Fang Freeze: The user elongates their hair and shapes it into the front half of a large, furry wolf, complete with clawed forelegs, blank eyes, a canine nose, pair of ears and a mouth full of massive sharp teeth, which is sent at the user's target. This move paralyses the whole body of the enemy for a couple of minutes and is an improved version of the move 'Hair Shower: Wolf Fang'. This move is extremely tiring for Felicia. She can use it only once in a battle on only one enemy and sometimes she even faints afterwards.
- Hair Whip Poison: The user elongates their hair and uses it as a whip against their opponent. This move poisens the body part that is hit, so a paralyzing effect is created. If the enemy waits for a couple of hours, the body part is healed. If the enemy doesn't wait and immediately tries to use it, the poison becomes more dangerous and could permanently injure the body part. This is an improved version of the move 'Hair Whip'.
Equipment: None
Personality: Felicia is a very sweet and kind woman who really loves her freedom. She likes to wander in the forest, pet the animals who live there and honestly, she sleeps a lot. She can't handle arguments or fight at all, so when people start fighting (not a battle, but verbal fighting) she immediately shouts to shut up - and she is intimidating enough for people to listen. However, when it comes to a battle, she is determined to win and get back everyone's freedom and safety.
Family: She used to have a little brother, but he went missing a couple of years ago. Her mother died from a disease when Felicia was five years old and her father accidently got killed (the guy meant to kill someone else, a lookalike) when Felicia was nin years old.
History: Felicia grew up with her parent and her brother in Magnolia, where she had always admired the Fairy Tail members. They were very strong and acted like they couldn't care less what anyone else thought. She herself only realised she had magic when she was ten years old. After her parents both died, she was upset almost all the time and one day, she had an outburst which led to her discovering her magic.
Since the bakery of her parents got sold, although she and her brother were still allowed to live in the house connected to it, she wanted to join Fairy Tail and work for them. However, they told her that she was too young and to this day, she is angry at them for not allowing her to join.
When she heard about the Magic Council, she couldn't help but start her own (dark) guild, where she doesn't have to follow anyone's rules - something she always dreamed off.
She wanted he brother to join, but the day she moved to the forest together with the first members of the rebellion, she found a note on his bed that he was running away. She still doesn't know from what he was running away or why.
This is a list of the places one can go to in the rebellion's "city" in the trees:
- houses
Every member of the rebellion gets their own house (family shares the house with the member they are related to). If a new member joins the dark guild, every guild member helps building the new treehouse for free. One can find a little kitchen, a compact bathroom and a worn out couch and bed inside.
- convenience store
Members can buy food, drinks and clothes inside. They are for free, since the guild members don't make much money (none, apart from some small tasks they do fo the citizens of Magnolia). However, there is a limit on the amount one can take each week. Members can also hunt on the animals in the forest if they reached the limit.
- tavern
The tavern is open for the whole day. One can buy food and drinks there, but these do cost money (earned from the citizens in return for small tasks, although the citizens prefer legal guilds). At the evenings (starting from 7 pm), they make place for dancing and partying. You can choose to work here, if you have a character that can't fight for example.
- hospital room
They don't have the luxury of fancy beds and equipment. This hut looks almost the same as the others, but with many old mattresses for the sick and wounded to sleep on (everyone in the same room). You can choose to work here as someone with healing magic or just someone who helps around.
- meeting room
This room is only meant for meetings between the master and S-rank mages. When there isn't a meeting taking place, it is just an empty room and a great place to be alone.
- cinema room
A mage with illusion magic (you can choose to play this mage, otherwise I'll play them) uses their magic to show a movie. These movies take place at 9 am, 1 pm and 5 pm.
- library
This place is open at all times. There is a librarian inside who makes sure that people are silent in the library (you can choose to play this person, otherwise I'll play them).
- training room
There is equipment inside this room in order to help both the mages and the non-mages train their skills. It is not allowed to fight against other people in this room.
- combat room
You can fight other mages and non-mages inside, but you have to get permission from the master or an S-rank mage first.
- river
This place is not in the trees, but it's a river in the forest after which the dark guild is named. The peaceful place is enclosed by traps that alert members when there is danger nearby.
