Cao the ExiledAround 2001 I discovered Yahoo Chat rooms. At the time I didn't even have the capacity to type and had no idea what I was doing at all in this strange world I discovered myself in. I used to make my own chat rooms and then put on music like Nevermore or Opeth, Queensryche or Fates Warning (Some of my favorites at the time) I would sing at the top of my lungs and type out the lyrics until I could do it in time with the music itself. I am not sure if this is how other people figured out how to type but this was my way. In between I learned that I really enjoyed role playing with other people.
I would spend hours in my day simply coming up with new adventures and hashing out my own characters. My first character was a drow elf who had living leather armors and collected souls in little black shards of glass that she would wear on hooks in her long ears just to hear the screaming of the people inside. I found that I absolutely loved the back and forth between people helping a story move forward and backward in time. I loved the give and take and honestly really just loved the friends that I'd made during that time.
I would love to take up that hobby once more and chat gpt said that this place might have the same sort of feeling so I am excited to be here and really looking forward to roleplaying with people and just kind of rubbing the dust off of my keyboard!
