I have Agartha's independent government (formed through elections by the other participating countries), the United States, the British Empire, Russia, German, French, Meiji Japan, China (Qing Dynasty), Ottoman Empire so far. There will be a round table type of place where the politicians discuss about the city's future development on a daily to weekly basis. Agartha's independent, the US and the British Empire will have more power and play a much more major role for now.

@Superboy Yes :) Sounds like a great idea. There will also be a local news outlet if you like to join. Local newspaper will be published possibly on a weekly basis (I'll tentatively be using it to update changes of the hollow world).

"The City of Lindblum"

Erwald Nemesis looked up from his map, as a spectacular fort unveiled before him. He had heard rumors along his travels about the invention of an innovative steam engine in this city, and the intrigued mechanic wanted to speculate it himself. I will find a way to the Industrial District and ask the engineers about the rumored engine. Maybe I can buy some spare machine parts for my spiders in the Business District as well.

Lindblum is situated atop a mountain peak far above the Mist-covered plains. Fortified from every side by the castle's grand walls and towers, the city is built to withhold any kind of enemy assaults. The city is divided into four districts, the Theater District, the Business District, the Industrial District, and the grand castle. There seemed to be a festival going on in the Business District, as people on the streets were cheerfully talking about it.

Born in a church and showered with blessing of the god of light, Erwald was gifted with the magic of light and healing. He was then tasked to heal people from their physical sufferings. Erwald got really upset after seeing people dying in front of him, as he did not have the ability to save people from serious injuries or sicknesses. At the age of 21, he decided to leave the church and go on a journey in search for the legendary skill/item to revive the dead.

Father's Inheritance

When the boy was not in church, he would spend his time in his father's (a mechanic) workshop, learning about building and fixing machines. He was really obsessed with how much he could do with simple programmed robots and would spend day and night just to perfect his creations.

Discussion: Microtransactions in Games

I think microtransactions are bad when the players cannot truly enjoy the game unless they buy them. For example, energy bars system implemented purely to earn money, or power boosts that give players definite superiority against others in pvp.

Other than that, I think microtransactions are actually a good thing to the players and the game itself. First, game developers will have more incentives in maintaining and improving a game with microtransactions, because it still generates money. All players will benefit from the continuous bug-fixing and game content additions. Also, microtransactions keep the game cheaper than if everything is bought in a package. Some players might not want the additional aesthetics or some of the story content, so it will be best sold separately.

In general, I see microtransactions as a price discrimination tool used to target different consumers with different needs. It can become ugly if the game developers did not do their market research to understand their target audiences well.
