There are two kinds of people in this world; those who like Christmas, and those who are potatoes.

@Sierra yes it's working now. I just read it, she will possibly have to cross path with a lot of enemies in such a chaotic world. xD
@6slyboy6 yes if you are interested OOC will be up in a couple hours :)

Scrap Character Dice Roll, Implement Others

Hum, I just read through all the comments regarding the proposed mechanics again, and I find that most people find them fun other than the character dice roll mechanics. Some find it confusing and some prefer more freedom on character controls.

As I stated previously that I would like to see players' responses before deciding to implement any of the mechanics (and personally I don't want to see anyone's effort on CS to become a waste xD), and after reading through everyone's comments, my decision is to implement the following mechanics:

1. Inventors' Idle Game
2. Political Strategy Game
3. Background Events

And remove this one:

1. Character Creation Skill Attributes & Plot Devices

This will allow players to have full control on their characters, while also giving entirely optional mechanics to impact the world in a visible way. Do note players participating directly in politics will still have a full NRP experience (nation stats and mechanics involved); while everyone else will be free to roam Agartha.

Just waiting for some voices before I make this decision final, and I would like to confirm with @Sierra and @Trivval again about your interests after the final change (and no pressure here!). For all of you thank you for the support so far and I appreciate the time you take to read everything. :)

Edit: Also I'm assuming that no one think the stats and character dice rolls as a must right? xD

@Sierra Aww I'm really sorry! I understand how the first interest check seemed like a freeform rp; I really started out planning one like that but the mechanics came into mind.

@Jarl Coolgruuf welcome aboard :)

@ayzrules@Azazaa@BrokenWashing Okay I am more than willing to answer any questions! Also the mechanics are not final, I will make adjustments here and there before the first IC. Maybe we can have a little tutorial/test run session on the dice roll (spawn some big monsters and combat them) and see if everyone likes it, while we wait for CS.

@Irredeemable Yes :) As long as the roles are fundamentally different with no conflicting interests. You will need to post more than other people though.
@Raylahthanks for interest. :) It will not be a typical NRP. Basically each “nation” starts out as a small group of people with a limited amount of resources and land. Over time they will be able to recruit more survivors and acquire more land as they scout more areas (dice rolls will be performed).

As the groups expand, there will be more need for organization and policies. Each turn will possibly span a day or a week, and the leader gets to send out people to scout new land, clear nearby zombies, scavange food and resources, build barricade, guard their own territory against zombies and possible human invasions, research for cure, etc.

Possible important indicators will be survivor count, happiness level (sad population will be more inclined to leave the group or deny helping), food supplies, medical supplies, transport and oil supplies, weapon and ammunitions, environment zombie threat level, group technology level etc.
@Sierra Hum I see 🤔 So you prefer to have full control on your character. I will wait for other RPers’ comments on the mechanics to make appropriate adjustments.

@BrokenWashing check out the proposed game mechanics above and see if you like them :) I’m checking with everyone to see if they like the ideas.
This game gave me the idea for the NRP. It is a turn based strategy game for the player to rebuild a city during a zombie-apocalypse.
@Wildman13 hum there are aspects that are hard to GM?
